At the start of a major master bath remodeling, we were sent to Tri Supply in Conroe to pick out…read morebathroom fixtures by our contractor. While the showroom was fantastic and they had lots of choices, the problems we had that our sales rep caused were not handled well. We picked out everything with the Tri Supply sales rep and left. The sales rep emailed us and our contractor the pricing and we had her go ahead and order the majority of the plumbing items, over $3,000 worth. The project progressed and after most of the plumbing and all of the tile work had been finished, the plumber noticed that the parts that we had asked the sales rep to order were not the correct ones and would not work. When we questioned the rep, she said that she remembered what we told her we wanted and she did not know why she had ordered something different! After lots of discussion with the rep, she ordered a new part that would resolve the problem (not what we had originally wanted because that would have required tearing the whole shower out instead of a 4x4 section). She never offered to expedite that part and finally after waiting a week the part came in. In the meantime, the tile installer had to come and tear out the tile that had just been installed. The new part was installed and now the plumber and tile installer are redoing it. The cost for the plumber and tile installer to come back and redo the problem caused by the sales rep should have been covered by Tri Supply, not divided between the homeowner and the contractor. I would never recommend Tri Supply, they obviously don't stand behind their purchases.

Today I picked up a curbside order and before I got home was getting gas and found the box taper tape broken. I called the manager and explained the situation saying I wanted an unopened box. I was told they could not be assured over the phone that my return would be accepted. I was shopping at Costco and found a better item for just a little more. So I returned the item to BBB. Then received this warning from RAR. I have been a loyal BBB customer for 30 years, but today I began having second thoughts.

This adventure, we picked up a veggie spaghetti maker, some mitts, and other knick-knacky stuff. I was surprised at the number of veggie spaghettifiers. Power ones, manual crank ones, hand held ones, etc. Who knew? We bought the simplest hand held model for a few bucks to test it out. So we brought it home, and completely shredded 2 zucchinis into spaghetti in a minute. After 3 minutes in the microwave, it was done. Drain it. Throw sauce on it with a tablespoon of grated cheese. Voila! Nearly no calories and delicious. Next trip, it time to get that salad spinner ... LOL. I think that zucchini needs to be spun dry!

When I first looked at Yelp for my…read morewood flooring project, I contacted 3 local vendors. 5tar was the very first to call me back, but not the one I really wanted. I told Mitch (5tar flooring) that after comparing with the other two vendors, he had basically no chance to do the work. The reason? He did not have any reviews. Reviews are very important to me. He apologized and told me he understood and will be available if I ever needed him in the future. After two days, only one of the other two vendors called me back, but the other guy was busy and unable to start right away. So I took a big risk and called Mitch back. Only reason I did was because he made a good impression, a true gentleman, never trying to close a sale. I am so glad I did. I am an engineer and I am proud to say I have worked with factories all over the world. I have audited plenty of places, basically I am an expert in quality with more than 40 years of field experience. I am good at spotting a work well done. The people that Mitch sent me were top notch (Carlos and a helper). I have several cameras installed in my home. So I was able to follow step by step what they were doing. Not only they worked professionally, they are some of the hardest working people I have seen in a long time. The first day they started at 10AM and left my home at 7:30PM, only resting for a 30 min lunch. Then they knocked at my door at 8:00AM as agreed on a Sunday the following day to finish the job. (Believe it or not, they also worked on a Sunday. Frankly speaking I never expected them to arrive early that day, but they did). Very impressed with their work!
