I love a great piece of furniture but I also like to mix things up on occasion. Rather than shopping for something I won't easily find, I re-cover. Let me tell you, Hugo's upholstery work is fantastic! My spot for fabric is the clearance bin where you may find what you like but there might not be enough of it. So far, I've found enough of my choice. The turn around (a week or so) has been far sooner than I expected. How fabulous is that? Well I use to wait months at another place on Veteran's Memorial for the same type of projects. Don't let the location keep you from stopping in. You will be thrilled that you didn't spend more $ on something new. read more

I had an old wingback chair reupholstered. The work they did was fantastic. The cushion was thinner than I expected and they redid it for me. Customer service was great and the return contact was great. It was pricier than I was quoted but the chair was heavily damaged. read more

Outstanding upholstery repair - my Mother-in-law has 2 couches with sentimental value. 2 areas had damaged fabric. She had additional pillows with the same fabric - in home repair with an expert technician - experience covering many years. In the midst of a dead shopping center, this is a hidden gem that's still standing. They are a little hidden but they have a huge sign on the road if you pay attention. They also have trucks in the parking lot with their name too just in case you didn't see the signs. They are a small shop but they have lots of big ideas so don't be afraid to go wild on them. They can order fabrics from the items on display and out of stock fabrics too. No idea is too big either; they'll sit down with you and come up with an outline of what you want. They literally had a customer file on the table while I was there taking pictures and walking around. So yes! Whatever you tell them is written down for emphasizes and for better production and we all know customers have a way of saying one thing and meaning another thing!!! Well I do. or better yet it's to make sure your finished product is the same as your vision. In simple words, they'll make your dreams come true. read more

Inter Decor provides great customer service; I sent emails to numerous reupholstery companies in the area trying to get a price quote to get my sofa reupholstered and not only was the Inter Decor the first company to respond to my request but they also gave advice on what to ask other companies when getting a quote unlike other companies who literally just answered with the price amount and nothing else. Of course I decided to go with them and i am happy that i did. We dropped off our sofa the first Saturday in December and was told that due to the holidays the sofa may not be done until the last week ( which was totally understandable) but when our sofa was completed the Friday before Christmas I got a call saying that it was ready and that if we wanted to pick it up we could ( they even offered to make arrangements if we couldn't make it in before closing to come the next day even though they were technically closed for the holiday on that day). I must say that my sofa looks great (it actually looks better than when we originally purchased it). I would definitely recommend them and if I ever have to have some reupholstered again they would be my go to company. read more

In a word, HORRIBLE! I highly regret using this company! Two weeks before Thanksgiving I went to them to have some custom shutters installed in my game room. I had taken the measurements and went to see the owner, Hugo to get a quote. I asked if he could install them before Thanksgiving and Hugo swore from here to Egypt that he could. He required a 50% deposit upfront for the work.($1000.00) which I paid him. He then said he'd come out to my house the next day to make a template of the openings to begin building the shutters. After 3 days and several phone calls he finally showed up with one of his workers to re-measure and create the template. We agreed that I wanted 2, 4 panel shutters installed with the top portions stationary so that they would not be prevented from opening due to the curvature in the openings in my game room. He said he'd have everything done in 5 days. Well, after the 4th day I called him and he said that he needed another day. I called again the next day and he needed yet another day. Two days before Thanksgiving I visited his store and he was again apologetic and said he'd do the installation the next morning (the day before Thanksgiving). Well, he and about 6 of his workers came late in the evening to install the shutters. When I looked at them I saw they were not the ones I ordered. He installed 2, 2 panel shutters that could not open all of the way because the top section was not stationary as we had agreed, and with doors so heavy that the hinges could not fully support them. When I pointed that out he said "well you have a warranty". I demanded that he remove them immediately and he did. He apologized again and said he made a mistake and if I gave him another week he would return with what I ordered. I asked him to remove the frame as well and he convinced me that it made sense to leave it in as he would be using it for the reworked shutters. A week went by and I did not hear from him. On the 8th day I left him two messages that he never responded to. On the 9th day I went to his shop and demanded a refund. He AGAIN apologized and asked if I would let him finish the job. I refused and his wife refunded my money. I asked him when he was coming out to remove the frames and he said he'd call me in a day or two to come out. HE NEVER DID. I finally had another company give me a quote on shutters and after examining the frames they say how uneven they were and the number of gaps so they are unable to use them. They pointed out the poor installation and revealed that due to how they were installed (heavy caulking and recessed nails) that removing them would cause severe damage to the walls and that I'd have to have someone else remove them and repair the walls before they would install the new shutters. I went back to Hugo, rightfully upset, I might add, and he refuses to remove the frames. I now have to pay some else to remove them, plaster my walls, and repaint so I can have the new shutters installed. I plan on suing this company for the cost of fixing their poor work. Anyone who uses this company for shutters had better be prepared to be ripped off!!! Stay tuned as I will update this review after I get this matter settled. read more
