Brought my sister here while in town so she could see for her self how delicious the food and drinks are. This gem is in Little Havana part of town, the street this restaurant is located on has lots and lots of great shops, bars, and places to eat. So of course I had to orderer a mojito passion fruit to be exact. 10/10 my fave! Entree was red snapper and chicken mofongo 10/10 Our server was good, he gave up complementary shots of Coquito. 10/10.

Finally slid to MOFONGO! Slammmmmmin... Was in the mood for Sorullitos and Bacalaitos and found the authentic Puerto Rican spot! This gem is in Little Havana super nice neighborhood! Of course i ordered more stuff as you'll see! Had to order the churrasco, pork dish, soup etc... Service top notch, and the authenticity was real close! I'll be back for sure!!!

A must try if you are visiting the Little Havana! The staff was friendly and attentive, the restaurant has a rustic vibe and they play great music. We ordered some stuffed tostones and short rib mofongo. The tostones were a bit dry but the stuffing was delicious, a good mix of shrimp, ckn and steak. Now the short rib mofongo was to die for! Meat was tender and flavorful. My piña colada was delicious too. Will definitely come back!

Food was amazing. From appetizers, entrees and drinks. Service was wonderful. Young lady was attentive. Love the ambiance the back round tv playing historic view of puerto rico.

Food was delicious. Good prices on the happy hour menu served through out the restaurant not just at the bar. Service was attentive with several employees checking in on us not just our server. The ambiance is so much better than what is used to be at the old location. It's bright and airy and has a big screen tv with pictures of the beaches in PR. Also has an upstairs for additional seating. Came on a Friday evening and was able to get a table for two (before 6 pm). May get busier later on, tho. We enjoyed it very much and look forward to telling our friends about the updates!

I love monfongo and don't know how to make it so I'm always looking for good mofongo when I travel. I loved this place. Delicious food and drinks. Good service and vibes.

Came here to kill time before my delayed flight that got canceled. My daughter didn't like her octopus salad. My other daughter vomited and felt sick from her steak and onions. The mofongo in my stuffed chicken was hard and needed more flavor. Also I didn't realized it was wrapped in bacon which I didn't favor. I like that they had pieces of pork in the rice, it was tasty. I tasted my daughter's guava cheesecake, it had a nice smooth soft texture. The server was great and my mojito drink was top notch, but the food was not. I noticed the receipt was extra high, they added a service charge without my knowledge. I had to see itemized receipt to find out. If I ever come back here again, I'll stick with just drinks and maybe try another dessert, but definitely skipping the meals.

We went here for Father's Day and had a great time. This is apparently a new location for this restaurant and it was large and beautiful. We started with Bacalaitos Fritos which were fried to perfection. Then we each ordered stuffed mofongo (I had the lobster one), and it was a ton of food and delicious. They had a few different sauces to choose from. I had enough to take home for a full second serving. The server was super friendly. He did seem to forget about us after a while so we had to flag him down for boxes and our check, but otherwise it was good. The music got a little loud which was fine for us. It looks like this would be a fun place to go at night, as it looks like the have a DJ. We will definitely be back and plan to bring friends and family. Oh also just a note that it is a little "touristy" in that they had a photographer taking pictures which you could purchase. There was also someone selling blue flowers for Father's Day. Not sure how much of this was due to it being Father's Day or not.

It's so hard to get fantastic Puerto Rican food in south florida but mama...... the food here is incredible. Trifongo with seafood, rice and beans, pork chunks, chicken chunks, alcapurria, and a shot of coquito. Daniel was an excellent server and the vibe was amazing. Definitely loved everything about this place.

Delish puertorican food , good for your soul!!!! We went crazy and order lots of food and everything was fabulous, and super tasty. We order arañitas, chicharrón de pollo, sancochito, mofongo, chuleta kankan, short rib, and piña coladas. We had a really good experience, we are glad we went back , we haven't been there in a longtime. The service was amazing, we were helped by a nice Cuban guy , I forgot his name...I was hangover...this good brought me back to life. Ambience was fun, great salsa music and friendly people.

Puerto Rican Power This incredibly lively restaurant is quite the Calle 8 icon. Though they don't serve the traditional Cuban cuisine of Calle 8, they do a great job representing the Puerto Rican community of Miami. The place is is bustling with people but they do a great job with turning the tables quickly. The interior is beautifully decorated and takes you to PR for just a second. Each dish is well made, the mofongo was fresh and creamy. Sometimes if it's old, it can get a bit dry, Mofongo clearly knows what they're doing. The steak was cooked to perfection at a nice medium rare temperature. This is a great place to take some tourists or your family for a fun time.

My husband heard about this restaurant a few months ago and we had been wanting to try it. We went for lunch at around 1pm. I ordered pastel and of course alcapurrias for appetizers. The alcapurrias I felt had hardly any meat in them. For lunch I ordered the Mofongo with Churrasco and I found that so good. It was delicious and I have no complaints. My husband ordered the Churrasco plate and we found that for $34.00 it was not worth it. He found the rice on the salty side and the churrasco was really small. We did wait a bit for the meal to arrive and the restaurant wasn't really that busy. But hey my meal was great so it was worth the wait for me. Service was good everyone was attentive making sure our glasses always had water.

If it wasn't for a lone Puerto Rican flag by the door, I almost keep driving and dismiss it as if it was a false Yelp page. Thank God I did not! This little place is tiny, with a counter that sits about four people max and a small table for two. They specialize in takeouts mostly but we were able to snatch that little table for two. From the start, the lady at the counter was super nice and we immediately felt welcomed. We ordered an alcapurria, which for me is something I order to gauge the level of what to expect from our meals. Is it overcooked? Is it undercooked? Is it fried on burnt cooking oil or fresh? How a restaurant serves you an appetizer is very telling of their level of attention to detail. Luckily for us, this appetizer was perfectly cooked and it had a very well seasoned ground beef that was very flavorful. I, of course, ordered a Mofongo with fried pork chunks, which is one of my favorite all time meals while my wife went with her go-to chicken breast with salad and tostones. Both of our meals were very satisfying with a nice authentic Puerto Rican flavor. My mofongo was soft and moist with the nice flavor of green plantains. You would find the flavorful pieces of pork grind mixed in too, just like they make them back at the island. The pork chunks were flavorful but a little too hard and challenging to cut through with the plastic cutlery that we were given. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it way more with a good fork and knife in hand, but nevertheless, I can see myself ordering the exact same dish next time I buy dinner here again. My wife was very happy with her meal too. Overall, we will order to go next time, or for delivery. I am curious to see how this mofongo will travel. One thing I noticed is that they don't serve the mofongo with chicken broth on the side which would probably be a great idea to include, especially on a delivery. Plantains dry up so a side of this could revive it back to its full flavor. I'm very happy to have found this place and I recommend it.

I was actually running extremely late to the reservation time but they still honored it and my friend was seated immediately. It is a great way to try a bunch of items. My friend and I also ordered the ropa vieja and the Cuban sandwich to share. The ropa vieja is life changing - order it, you will not be disappointed. So flavorful and tender! The cuban sandwich was also really good, but a bit cheesier than others I have had. There was a ton of live music happening in both the front and the back of the restaurant. It is a very lively, fun place. The only downside is because it is so busy, the service is a little on the slower side but honestly who cares. We ordered a ton, and right off the bat: if you love croquetas and empanadas, order extra. They're on the smaller side and come individually, but they are so good they disappear fast. The beef empanadas were a 10/10 perfectly seasoned and crispy. The chicken empanadas didn't hit the same for me, but the jamón croquetas? Absolutely insane. A must. For appetizers, the prawns al ajillo were delicious super flavorful and cooked perfectly. We also tried the grilled octopus, which was good, but not my favorite. It leaned a bit bland for my taste, even with the sauce. Now, the must-get: the carnitas with pickled onions. Easily one of the best dishes of the night so flavorful, tender, and perfectly balanced. For entrées, we had the ribeye steak and arroz con pollo, plus sides of tostones and yuca. Everything here delivered. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right not overly salty. The arroz con pollo was phenomenal, the kind of dish you could eat every single day. The tostones were crispy and tossed in garlic, which took the flavor to another level, and the yuca was melt-in-your-mouth good. I also ordered a mojito, which unfortunately was very watered down, I barely got any of that classic mojito flavor. Service overall was solid, especially considering how loud the restaurant gets it was honestly hard to hear each other at the table, so shoutout to our server for keeping everything straight. The appetizers came out quickly, back-to-back, which we loved. The only downside was the wait for the entrées they took quite a while after we finished the apps, even though we ordered everything at once. Overall, amazing food, great energy, and definitely worth going just be prepared for a lively (and loud) atmosphere.
