It has been a while since we have been to Moe's. Their customer service is terrible. They're slow in the restaurant is often times dirty. For a free queso Monday, they had like 15 little cups, not cups, but simple size cups, sitting out already with Queso in them. We ordered our food and got our free mini case so, and one of them was already thick and not warm. My son went back to exchange it and they said no. We don't exchange it because it doesn't stay hot when it sits. It was sitting before they gave it to us. Then my wife went back to advocate for my son and a worker, Taylor said, "you have an issue every time you come here." My wife said no many times we don't say anything, but there are issues sometimes. She then replied to my wife, "then maybe you shouldn't come here anymore." I would be ecstatic if someone from Corporate where to read this and reach out to me I'd love to hear if it's corporate policy that you tell somebody not to come back because they complain about getting salsa that's been sitting in a plastic cup for five minutes before they served it to you And I don't know if this is corporate or local, but they don't do free water, cups, not even just a small 7 ounce plastic cup They charge one dollar for a what appears to be a kids cup, but if we just want the tapwater that comes out of the machine, we have to pay a dollar. A familiar of mine informed me that this place was "better" than Chipotle. As an open-minded individual, I decided to give Moe a chance. Unfortunately, my chicken was dry, my beans were wet, and my stomach was HURTING after that queso. While the food wasn't worse than something I would cook myself, I can't say it was worth the $17 I paid. At Chipotle, I could've gotten a larger portion for a smaller price. Five stars in my heart, but four in reality. We looove Moe's and go almost every Sunday (hey maybe I'll see ya there!). But, I need to offer SOME constructive feedback. Here it is... The place is crummy. Maybe a little dirty. We go in Sunday's and they are busy, so I give them a pass. But seriously, the trash cans are always overflowing and the tables always need cleaned. Despite this, the folks are always friendly and the food is always good. The salsa bar is back, which is awesome, but the fresh tomatoes are gone forever, which is sad. Went here with my mom for lunch the other day and for some reason I was originally under the impression that they were more of a fast food barbecue sort of operation. I had a vague vision of production line Tex-Mex and pulled pork sandwiches or something. Probably my own fault for that. No worries, I'll just stare at the menu a minute and readjust my expectations. But as I glanced over it, all I could think was "oh, Taco Bell..." (albeit sustainably raised, grass-fed, hormone-free Taco Bell) and then I noticed how all of the items had bizarre names, some of which seemed like really bad puns, and some of which just left me going "WTF?" and praying that they didn't actually expect me to say out loud that I wanted to order an "Alfredo Garcia" or "The Funk Meister". Thankfully they didn't. I just said I wanted the beef fajitas. At which point the girl took a big scoop of ground beef taco filling and plopped it in the paper-lined serving basket she had in front of her. I did a double take, looked back over at the menu, which clearly stated "grass fed sirloin steak" and had a picture of, well, sliced up strips of steak, and said to her, "uh, I wanted the fajitas" to which she responded "this is the fajitas". At this point I just gave up and accepted my fate in surreal steam-table Mexican food Hell, feeling thankful that I'd eaten a piece of fruit and some nuts an hour or so previous for a late morning snack. My basket o' beef proceeded along the assembly line where I was asked if I wanted this or that or the other ingredients, sometimes followed by an "are you sure you don't want it?" and then was asked if I wanted chips, which I didn't, and was then asked again if I was sure, at which point my mom noticed my "fajitas" as we were being rung up, and before I could tell her not to worry about it, she said to the girl working the register "um, I think he ordered the fajitas..." to which she, too replied "yes, those are the fajitas" at which point my mom got the hint from me to stand down and not question it. So after all this, how was it? Whatever it was. It was vaguely beefy, had the flavor of Lawry's taco seasoning, an orange sheen and it squished out the end of the flour tortilla that I made something resembling a taco out of. The 3 different salsas I tried were all watery, with little flavor and no real spice to speak of, and I wasn't that hungry to begin with so I took the rest to go, since I hate to waste food, and also since it cost $18 for two of us. I'm not sure why I'm giving two stars. I guess because I'm feeling kindhearted and generous at the moment, and it's not like it was completely inedible or anything, and the vegetables were fresh and it wasn't overly greasy. But... One of the worst Moe's I ever ate at! The first thing I noticed was how dirty the lobby was. The trash was over flowing and almost every table had filth on it from prior customers. The line workers were too busy horseplaying than talking customers orders. The food quality was horrible. The chicken was extremely dry and the bacon was beyond greasy. There were ingredients floating in the sour cream which ended up on my chicken club instead of them changing out the dish. The lettuce was dark and the guacamole looked like it had been sitting out all day. Then to top it off, one of the female workers used the bathroom and didn't was her hands after coming out of the stall. Yuck! For the price my family paid for their meal, we were all extremely dissatisfied and will never come back nor refer this establishment to anyone. I visited Moe's one evening while visiting my parents. The place seemed active and there were possibly 4 people in line in front of us. First I hadn't realized that it was a fast burrito type place but since I love Anna's in Boston i thought this would be good. Unfortunately I never got a chance to taste the food as the service was so unblieveably slow that we decided not to wait. In the amount of time we stood in line waiting, Anna's (the gold standard taqueria) would have served about 10 people. The staff seemed slow, and untrained. Maybe this place will get better in time but just approach it with the proper expectations and plenty of free time and you may have a good experience. read more

I'd say the food at Moe's is slightly better than Qdoba, but still not as good as Chipotle. The service is consistently very good, however, and it's never as busy as Chipotle. Moe's is the best casual dining spot in Williamsburg. If you love pork, or not, Moe's has the most tender, juicy, pork EVER! All organic, no hormones - I've lost 13 pounds eating lots of Moe's food. But, I have to remember that guac. is full of fat, so beware!. Since Moe's opening in 2010, my family and I have eaten at the Williamsburg location over 100 times...and will keep returning. Just left this establishment after asking for a refund for my entrees. First off, no "Welcome to Moe's" upon entry. Secondly, they mixed up our wrappers and I got the wrong burrito. Third, the chips were stale and the burrito inedible. Fourth, I presented the birthday coupons and was given the third degree because it did not have a barcode. They never have when I printed mine off in January, it was the same. The manager Andrew begrudgingly gave me $7.69 back, which I had to remind him that did not include the food tax I had paid. Sadly, this is the worst Moe's experience for us. Paid $12.84 for food we could not eat and only got a refund on a portion of it. Manager was very unapologetic towards my complaint. He was not going to offer me a refund until I pointed out that I paid for the meal. And after all this did not get our birthday coupons back to use elsewhere! read more

Not much to like about this place. The menu is confusing and pointless. Just show an extra charge for sour cream and guacamole, don't make up meaningless names for your burritos like "Homewrecker" and "Joey Bag of Donuts." The hot salsa is not hot at all. The pork is flavorless, and the chips taste store-bought. The beer cooler is too far away to see what types they have with no beer menu on the counter.
