Let me set the stage: Football Sunday, and my brother's wife wouldn't pick us up Bill Gray's (can you believe that?). DoorDash it is. Moe Money Moe Problems. We ordered about 6 Wrong Doug's. Structural integrity 4/5. Packed to the brim- 5/5 efficiency. Probably about 3 lbs each. Labeled perfectly. Now the thing about Doug is they aint call him Right Doug- and that is because the next day- something is definitely wrong in your intestines. It feels like you are passing a poison dart frog through your guts. 4/5 of us have gone to the bathroom about 3 times before noon. The 5th guy? He called into work. Doug stabbed him overnight. If I could leave a zero, I would. We went to this location a couple days ago, and we walked in and stepped into line to order. There were two other people in line ahead of us having their food made. We stood waiting patiently for approximately 5-7 minutes, and no one offered to start our order. One of the employees came over and said, "just so you know, it will be about 20-30 minutes before I can make your food." I asked him to verify that again, as we were in the restaurant itself to sit and eat. The manager then came over and stated, "Ya man, look at the (pointing at a ticker machine) orders, man. I have like 30-35 orders to make from online. I cannot make your food until those are filled." At this point, there were others behind us that were just as confused. We have been coming to this location since it opened maybe 20 years ago, and I can tell you no longer. As someone who worked in all kinds of restaurants from fast food to fine sit-down dining, this was unacceptable and inexcusable. Went to pick it up, told an employee why I was there and what I was looking for and he was like okay it'll be right out, only to come back and tell me it was cancelled. Ordinarily I would have no problem with this, it happens, but they remade my order wrong and wanted to charge me $10 more than my original order, then proceeded to tell me it was my own fault for trying to use two coupons (it was not, first off i am capable of reading simple english, and secondly the app won't even let you use two). I've had bad experiences with Moe's, but I took a chance on going to the one in Webster Plaza, and I'll say it was worth it. Was greeted by "Welcome to Moe's" as I entered the door- and was served by a very polite gentleman (Brodie). The portion sizes were immaculate and very generous, was even asked if the portions were "Enough", as if they knew I've had problems in the past (ehhemm VICTOR MOE's). And was bless with 2 not 1 but 2 FULL BAGS of chips. This place is a huge gamble - there's no consistency, which seems to be a running theme with all the Rochester locations. Chips are oftentimes soaked with grease & not fully cooked, making them hard to eat. Portion sizes are all over the place. The chicken has more than a few times now had a rubbery texture - I mainly get the steak now. They're prices, weekly deals, and rewards program offers keep me rolling the dice - it's a thrill I can't seem to give up. read more

I ordered food today, was told on line it would be here as a delivery at 3:45 pm. 4:00 comes and no delivery. I got a text that said they cancelled my order. I also received a phone message as well as a text saying they went to a place on North ave and hat was nothing the place. I screen shot my order confirmation that clearly stated my address. It was not North Ave. I even responded to the text message with explicit Instructions. Still no order. Although I have two not one pending charges to my Discover charge. How is that possible. Stopped by to grab dinner quick, this place was filthy, food all over the floor and tables.

This Moes was satisfactory. I'll definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again and have a craving for a bowl along with chips and dip, but there are a couple things I think upper management should look into. I came here 1/4/19 at 3 pm and found that the staff were all respectful and friendly. The food was good and the place had the typical Moes vibe one would expect. The first surprise came when I began to sit down at one of the booths with a couple of my friends and I noticed that half of the back booth cushion was gone on my side. Okay, whatever, no big deal. But then when I got up to go wash my hands the bathroom wasn't very well taken care of and the paper towel dispenser was empty. It was around 3 pm, they were not busy. I'm no save the Earth green warrior, but I think it would be a good idea to consider installing an electric blower so that whenever there aren't any paper towels around the customer will have some kind of alternative besides drying his hands on his pants. Again, not a deal breaker, and other than those two things I had a good experience there. read more

I have been here at least 25 times, That's probably a low number. I got an email last week directly from Moe's saying they'd partnered with Door Dash, and that you could get free delivery, and I placed an order on Sunday. I had never had Moe's delivered before, or used Door Dash before. When my order arrived, my queso was missing. Queso is my favorite thing at Moe's, so I was really disappointed. I called the store just hoping to get a refund for the missing queso. The first person I talked to looked at my order and said I didn't order queso. When I explained that a "meal" included queso, he was then able to see it. That makes it pretty clear to me that Moe's messed up and never game me any queso. Someone else came on the line, and told me he couldn't give me a refund because Moe's isn't associated with Door Dash. I got the email directly from Moe's, and followed the link in that email, so that's clearly untrue, which I explained. He told me he'd never heard of that. He told me he'd give me a free bowl of queso later, but I said no thanks, and I just wanted my money back for the missing queso. He then told me the driver lost it in his car. If you've ordered from Moe's before, when you order burritos, they are put inside the bag of chips, along with the sides, inside another plastic bag. I also had a side of chiopotle ranch and sour cream that were in the bag with the chips and burritos. So, that would mean the Door Dash driver dug through my food, and only took the queso out. That seems like a highly unlikely scenario, which I explained on the phone. He then told me they were really busy, but maybe 3 hours from now, he could have someone deliver a side of queso to me. What am I going to do with a side of queso 3 hours from now?? I again said no thank you, that I'd just like a refund. The person then told me it was my responsibility, and I should have ordered through the app and picked it up myself. Again, I got the email directly from Moe's about the delivery, so this person is clearly unaware of Moe's promotions. And their solution for messing up my order is that I should pick it up myself??? I submitted a complaint on their website because I couldn't believe how rudely I was spoken to on the phone. The response I got in writing was actually WORSE than what they said on the phone. I assume it was written by the exact same person I had spoken to. Whether or not the refund needed to come from Door Dash, there's a kind and professional way to tell someone that, and then there's the way this guy talked to me. I was a regular customer at Moe's. The food here is quick and pretty good for as fast as you get it. I'm always a little disappointed when eat-in because they place doesn't seem very clean. And there's never enough of the green salsa. There should be more of that stuff. It's so good. I was in on a Wednesday last week, and there was something about Burrito wednesday that I didn't quite catch, but I didn't have to pay for guac on my burrito so I'm not complaining. It's decent food. I wish there was a zero star button but theres not. Anyways there was terrible customer service. They wouldn't let my child get a kids burrito because she wasn't twelve or under twelve, which she is. Then they made her pay two times the price for a bad burrito that was not even 2x bigger than the kids one. This has to be the absolute worst fast food joint around. Went to grab a quick lunch. Similar in set up to Chipoltes or Qdobe---but 100 times worse. I got some kind of salad bowl that consisted of limp, wet lettuce, and some toppings. Absolutely no flavor. It just tasted wet and watered down. It was bad, I ended up tossing it after a few bites. They don't honor pickup times.....food sits in front of store for God knows how long before your pickup....we were early (like 30 minutes early, unexpectly)...figured we would have to wait....there our food was, ready in front of store, so if we weren't early, would've been cold. Anyway, previous order, they left out the beef of the taco kit....we live 35 minutes away!!! so we had a salad basically. Tonight, ordered online 530 PM, for pickup 6pm....husband got there, didn't see our order....waited. after 20 minutes, asked....NO CLUE. UGGG.....then they found the order at the front of the store, under the wrong name....they refused to make a new order (by this time my husband WAITED for 45 minutes)....VERY RUDE!!!!!!!!! I want more flavor in my burritos than Moe's has to offer: Moe's burrito's are very large, it's true. But what they deliver in size, they lack in taste. If you value fill over flavor and don't mind spending 10 dollars for it, Moe's is your joint. Also, I'm a service stickler--I can eagerly and excitedly eat at the rinky dinkiest hole in the wall if the person who greets me at the door is amiable and welcoming and the waitstaff is pleasant and offers that perfect balance between "by your side with a refill" and "out of site whilst you chitty chat." That said, Moe's = fail on the service bit. I walked in with zero people in front of me in line and got the standard "WELCOME TO MOE's" from all three of the people standing behind the counter, but THEN they busied themselves poking at eachother and ignoring me while stood directly in front of the three of them...I attempted to make eye contact--which shouldn't have been difficult given the close proximity...I was clearly ready to place my order. Unlike Chipotle, Moe's serves chips with an assortment of salsas along with all of its burritos. Unfortunately the burritos themselves leave much to be desired. The ingredients taste like they were all boiled together in the same spices, well past the point of being done. Greece, NY location: The food was below average. I had the black bean and chicken burrito, $9.99 Chicken looked like it had been sitting there all day. My daughters 3 black bean, cheese & lettuce were $9.99 before tax, I think each one had 2 tablespoons of beans. Very poor rating on food. The restaurant did not look very clean either, everyone was touching the drink machines and salsa scoops. I didn't see anyone clean anything the entire time I was there. The only good thing about the Greece, NY Moe's was the employees were pleasant. Won't ever go there and spend $23 on crappy food. read more

For the money, you'd expect more in every area. I don't know why it's called "Moe's Southwest Grill" when it should be called "Moe's Mexican Take On Ponderosa". It's just like a Ponderosa...overpriced for what you get, everything set up in a chow line and the place is FREEZING! I've never been in a restaurant that cold before, and not surprisingly every bit of the food is cold, too. And I don't mean room temperature cold, I mean right-out-of-the-refrigerator cold. The meat is cooked, yes....but the meat is not hot at all. You get what you ask for, but there's no care in the quality or the service. The two tacos I ordered were thrown together so roughly that when I unwrapped them (likely to keep the food COLD) what was supposed to be two hard-shell tacos were turned into two small orders of nachos. For the money/quality ratio Moe's is somewhere above Taco Bell, but not by much. Add in a drink to a standard meal and you're over $10.00 - WHAT? You can do much better in Southwestern/Mexican fare, which is why I only go to Moe's at my daughter's insistence. Monte Alban's or Maria's, anyone? read more

If only I could rate this "restaurant" a zero. My wife and I stopped in for dinner around 730 (an hour and a half before they close). We both barely got any black beans, as if they were trying to prolong the beans so they didn't have to open/prepare more before close. We both received very dry chicken, almost as if it had been sitting for quite sometime. As we sat down for our meal, the floors were a complete disaster. When we went to get our drinks, 3/4 of the list was unavailable and there was ZERO carbonation (basically we were drinking syrup). I unwrapped my burrito, only to have it all fall apart and unravel. Then my wife found herself a NICE LITTLE HAIR IN HER FOOD. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I returned the food, and was offered for the children to make me another one. I asked for a refund, and it was the most inconvenient thing that I could have asked for by their body language and eye rolls. NOT A SINGLE SORRY. This evening I got there at 9:45 which I understand is close to the time they close and I just wanted 2 tacos only to be informed that they had already thrown everything out for the evening. Moe's is one of my favorite places to go to get a quick meal. It costs more than Taco Bell, but the food is in a different class. While a quesadilla or burrito set you back about $8, you can get out for less than $4, with a ton of chips and salsa, if you just get a taco. What makes Moe's great is the variety of toppings and the salsas. If you like mild, try the red with tomatilla or the salsa verde which is by far my favorite. All around, Moe's is great. More is just a step above Taco Bell. The meat is dry and sparse. Unless you want to fill up on beans and rice, your burrito, taco... Will be cold if you want tomatoes, salsa and colder with guac and sour cream. The have good but watery sauces. If you get nachos they will be waterlogged before you have a chance to eat them. Chipotle gets one star better as it isn't as watery and more meat, but these shouldn't count as Mexican restaurants as they are fast food just of a better scale and slightly higher prices. We frequently visit this Moe's, as they have a great deal on Mondays - kids eat free from 4pm-closing. The employees are friendly and courteous, and they always do a great job of keeping the restaurant clean. Furthermore, the restrooms are very well maintained and kept in order. The only thing to watch out for are the crowds of people that come in between 5-7:30pm (dinner time), as it can take 30-45 minutes to get a meal. Overall, if you come in at the right time, this Moe's will provide a great experience for a reasonable price. read more
