my husband and I stopped by here at 3 PM on a Wednesday and ordered the Carne Asada quesadilla to share. The portion felt reasonable for the price and was delicious. No complaints here and I would come back.

One of my favorite places in Rochester. I always go for the cauliflower taco and the Seoul Man beef burrito. Both are so delicious and flavorful. I look forward to a meal from old Pueblo every time I visit Rochester

Full-bodied flavor and generous portions. That's what you can expect when you come to Old Pueblo Grill! My friend and I stopped here for an early dinner on a Saturday and were able to order and sit right away. The service was great and our food came out relatively soon after we ordered. I chose two tacos from their lineup -- the Korean taco with chicken and the chorizo and potato taco. I wasn't expecting them to be served with chips and salsa, so that was a huge bonus. I absolutely loved the Korean taco. From the kimchi to the chicken to the crema on top, each flavor was balanced and delicious. I enjoyed the chorizo and potato as well, it was just a tad too salty for my taste. If I lived around here, I'd definitely be back often to try more of their taco offerings. Not to mention all the burritos and specials they include on their menu, too.

Super nachos, fries were the best part! Carne asada was very dry.

A few things to note if you are planning on coming here... there's only 5 tables and it's first come first served. Also, there's no servers, so you order from the counter and then grab your food when it's ready. We got lucky that a table happened to leave right as our food was ready but no one came to clean it off or anything. Also there's nowhere to hang up your jackets/purses and it's very dark to the point it's hard to see your food. The food came out fairly quickly on a Thursday night, took about 15 minutes for tacos and super nachos. Also we had no idea that the taco platters came with a side of chips and salsa, but they did! For the nachos you have the option to do tortilla chips, fries or both. We did both and definitely wish we did all fries because that was the best part of it. The carne asada we added on didn't really have any flavor and was very dry. Also the toppings are lumped into corners rather than spread out evenly which made it harder to eat with other people. I ordered the Baja fish taco, Korean beef taco and carne asada. The fish taco was my favorite and definitely glad I got it in a flour tortilla. They forgot my Pico and crème sauce but gave me sides when I asked. The Korean beef taco was really good, but honestly it's better on its own then in a taco shell! The little fried pieces of beef were really good. The carne asada was just too dry and flavorless no matter how much salsa I put on it. I was excited to try this place but it just wasn't quite what I expected.

Came for Taco Tuesday and had not been in awhile. Usually the service and food here is good, but tonight EVERYTHING was off... Walked in and stood in front of the counter looking at the menu board, the cashier never greeted us or asked how she could help. For a minute I was confused as to whether she was doing something concerning the 6 take out orders that appeared were being assembled on the front counter, because she was just staring down at the register and not making eye contact. I finally realized she must be waiting for us to just give her our order when she looked up and stared at us. We wanted chicharrones but I guess there was a "problem" with them last week, and the girl taking our order asked about if they could be ordered, and the answer was no. We ordereda flaming hot elote bowl; which I never had before, tacos (el pastor, Korean (beef), and a fish taco, and a Cali Burrito. Once we received our order, the food looked really good, however we were sad to find out it didn't taste as nice as it looked. The meat in my beef Korean taco was very tough and didn't taste very good. The Cali burrito had steak as well, so I asked my husband how it was and he said that the meat tasted old and was tough. He had ordered this burrito in the past and he said, "this doesn't taste as good as I remember it". The el pastor taco didn't taste good at all, couldn't even eat it. The pineapple salsa tasted strange and the meat was covered in some type of sauce that I've never had on an el pastor taco anywhere else. The fish taco was mediocre at best, it was a battered piece of fish that was mostly breading. Both our orders came with chips and salsa, we both got mild salsa. The salsa was so thick it was almost gelatinous and didn't have much of a flavor at all. I passed on consuming that as well. The elote bowl was nothing special, even with the flaming hot Cheetos topping it still lacked flavor... We were very disappointed and my husband said he wouldn't be sad if we never came back. I gave 2 stars because the bottled water was good.

Still serving great Mexican Streer food. I would still love to see the option to make nachos with pork rinds or have the different taco options to be served with the salad bowl for those of us who don't eat carbs these days!

Burrito with chips and salsa , one meal big enough for 2!

Eaten here in person and food pick up and it slaps every time. The menu has some cool takes as well as classics, and the salsas that come with everything are really good. Nice portion of food for the price. The inside space is bigger than meets the eye, and the outdoor seating in the warmer months is nice. Wait times vary , but I think they have pretty good service, never had a bad experience.

This place is OK, nothing too crazy. I would say the price is very high for what is only slightly elevated from a chipotle. I would call it more of an Americanized Mexican, but everything was enjoyable. You order at the counter and give you a buzz to pick up your food when it's ready.

    Nachos!

Old Pueblo Grill serves up delicious and fresh Mexican food at reasonable prices. Pre-Covid, I enjoyed eating on their outside patio in nice weather. Is there anything nicer during a Rochester summer? During Covid, I have limited myself to takeout from my favorite spots. Luckily, the takeout process at OPG is super easy. Put in your order online or by phone (you can even order in advance), call when you arrive, and they will bring your food out to you. As for the food, it's high quality with unique ingredients. I don't know of any other Mexican restaurants doing fried cauliflower in tacos or serving spicy street fruit (try it!). The double shell on the tacos allows you to make a new taco with everything that fell out of the first one - genius.

You could only take out here. Definitely pre-order because the line gets pretty long if you order on the spot. I got the three tacos for $14 on taco Tuesday. I ordered two Carne Asada and one Baja fish And my daughter ordered the Baja fish bowl and added the shrimp! For my dish the taste was OK I just didn't like that the Carne Asada meat was chopped up into little pieces I prefer if it's going to be Carne Asada to be done in thin strips a lot more flavor a lot better tasting! Also be careful that they add teeny pieces of jalapeño throughout the tacos! I did however enjoy the Baja fish taco and probably should've ordered two of those rather than two of the Carne Asada. My daughter's bowl was really good especially with the added trip!

    Quesadilla with Korean beef

The korean beef is so delicious and the chimichanga is a 10/10. I also love the crema--definitely get an extra side for later. The red salsa is extremely hot so beware. The elote corn is sooo good-- comes with crema, cotija, corn and cilantro and is delicious and they give you so much of it (definitely can share between a couple of people.)

The elote (Mexican street corn) is amazing. The fish tacos were props made with cabbage and so tasty.

Is there a Gluten Free menu?

Karl- I did not see a designated GF menu, but it did appear that some items were available Gluten Free..

    Do they serve alcohol?

Sadly not yet. They are in the licensing process still.....

Are there gluten and dairy free options?

Yes - guac, black beans, scrambled eggs, veggie tacos (taco shells are made with corn and are gluten free), there's also fresh fruit and a salad ('Becca Bowl') with beans, rice, corn, guac, etc. But beware of cross contamination if you are sensitive.

Are there any Taco Tuesday specials?

There weren't any last Tuesday when I went.

On Wednesday, April 22 I was in Henrietta for an appt and decided to place an order at Chuy's to pick up on my way home. I paid and received my email confirmation. My mouth was already watering... I arrived to the restaurant early, hoping it would be ready. They were closed. A sign hung on their door stating they were "Closed Wednesdays and Sundays until further notice". Nothing on their site indicated this and my order went through with no issue. I was a bit upset. Not only for the inconvenience but also because I was hungry and wanted my burrito! So the next day, I had to be back in Henrietta anyway so I stopped in and asked about the order. They immediately apologized profusely - apparently there was a glitch that allowed several orders to go through. They assured me that I would be refunded. I asked if it would be possible to just give me my order instead of a refund (I was still dreaming of that burrito). They said of course and even offered me a free drink which was not expected (I was happy to pay but they insisted). The burrito came out in less than five minutes and they said they would still refund me - even though I assured them it was not necessary. I wasn't even mad when I came in; I didn't make any scene or demands. I just wanted to ask about my order assuming it was an accident, and give them a chance to see what they could do. They went above and beyond anything I would have expected. They more than made up for any minor inconvenience it caused. Even if they didn't refund me, I would have still felt the same way in how I was treated. So yes, the food is incredible, but it is matched with a masterclass in customer service which feels increasingly rare these days. I'd post a pic of my burrito but I've been chowing down on it while trying this review and, well, it's gone...

We stopped in tonight for my wife's birthday and most of what we got was pretty good. The case it was great enchiladas were fantastic as they always are. The rice and beans leave something to be desired but they always have so that wasn't a particular shock. Our server was okay though it would have been nice if she had been a little bit more on the up and up on getting us refills on our drinks she was still very friendly and got everything correct. When they found out it was my wife's birthday they brought us fried ice cream Sundae that was very good too. There's only one thing that was disappointing tonight and that is their burritos. We have ordered their à la carte burrito a dozen times maybe? It's always been fantastic fairly simple but fantastic. For a couple of extra bucks you could get enchilada sauce and cheese on it and we always really enjoyed it. We noticed when we got there that it was no longer on the menu and instead they had some pre-made burritos to choose from so we did get one of those and it was lower quality than what I would expect or maybe satisfied with then what I'd get at Taco Bell it was that bad. We did tell the waitress who was just kind of like yeah try the one that cost twice as much money lol. Not exactly helpful. Well the crappy short-changed burrito won't stop us from going again we definitely will not be ordering the burritos and I don't recommend you try them either.
