He told me to wait until after the car wash to see if I wanted to sign up. Not a huge fan of the steelyard commons area but I liked the car wash. My car is cleaner than the normal wash I go to. The wheel clean made my wheels super shiny. The dryer works really well. I didn't use the vacuums as I cleaned my car not too long ago. When I pulled into the wash bay I was given an air freshener. I would recommend the car wash and will be getting the membership.

Either way I'm sure I'll be back, it's convenient, quick even if the line of cars extends to Lorain and they offer the best vacuum suction on the west side!

When I arrived, the gentleman at the gate did a good job initially explaining the value of the membership. I told him several times that I wanted to see the quality of the wash before committing to a recurring membership. That seemed like a reasonable approach for a first-time customer. Instead of respecting that decision, the sales approach became increasingly aggressive and eventually crossed the line into being insulting. His comment to me was, "I guess some people are smart enough to see a deal right in front of them and take advantage of it." Apparently, declining to immediately purchase a membership over a $5 savings meant my intelligence needed to be questioned. I again explained that I simply wanted to see how well the car was cleaned before deciding whether their service warranted a membership. Unfortunately, the wash itself reinforced why that was the right decision. I purchased the Cleanest Ultra package, which included a ceramic coating. Overall, the front, sides, and wheels came out well, but the rear/trunk area was noticeably not cleaned to the same standard. I understand that automated car washes can occasionally miss an area, so by itself, that would not have prompted this review. What concerned me more was the ceramic coating application. The equipment has indicator lights that illuminate when certain services are being applied. I watched the vehicle directly in front of mine go through the ceramic application, and the corresponding lights clearly activated. When my vehicle passed through the same section, those lights did not activate. I cannot independently verify what the equipment actually dispensed, but based on what I observed, I have a legitimate concern that the ceramic application included in the Cleanest Ultra package I purchased was not applied. In other words, I paid for the highest-level service but have reason to question whether I received everything I paid for. I'm not suggesting that others shouldn't use this car wash. I am suggesting that customers pay attention and make sure they are actually receiving all of the services included in the package they purchase. A first-time customer should not be insulted for wanting to evaluate the service before purchasing a membership, and a customer purchasing a premium package should not leave wondering whether the premium services were actually provided. For those reasons, I will not be returning to this location.

My car came out clean! Much better than a laser wash. Much better than gas station washes or even…read morecertain car dealership washes I've tried (Metro Lexus). There was a long, long line when I went, but with three self-payment terminals the line consistently moved. The terminals were super easy to use and take credit card. There was a staff person to direct you into the wash which I think is important and is one reason I never use unattended gas station car washes - I don't trust myself to not mess up my tire when lining up with the track that pulls your car through. So that was a plus and the staff person sprayed down the rear of the car with a power washer hose. There are a lot of add ons on the car wash offers when you buy a single wash. For example, I chose the 2nd level wash ($13) because compared to the lowest level wash ($10) the 2nd level included bottom cleaning. However as I was checking out I was prompted to pay an additional $2 for a higher pressure bottom cleaning. Usually, I'm all for upsells, but in this case I think it undermines the wash. I would much rather just pay $15 than $13 plus $2. When would I ever want half as good a job done on my car? I love the idea of a membership, and the prices of those here are fair in my opinion. The only thing that kept me from giving a 4 and from signing up for a membership was that the blow dryers as usual did not do a 100% perfect job. If there was just a staff person to dry that would be perfect and I'd sign up for a membership for sure. In the summer, not a huge issue to pull off to the side and do it yourself, but in the winter...
