The Avon Take 5 Car Wash signed me up for a monthly membership without permission. Their customer service is trying to say that I singed an agreement but I did not. I got one car wash there and then started getting a 33.99 bill every month. They did the same thing to my elderly parents. Definitely not worth it. You can't see that it uses a track , put your wheel in and put the car in neutral , it's an old style car wash , I couldn't tell until it was to late and I had paid. Not what I expected , luckily it was the oldest of the vehicles we own , definitely not taking new cars here. Aside from that , the wash was terrible , the dryers are a complete waste and I'm sure I'm signed up for a contract and will go to the police. I've been here a number of times since it opened, and I have to say that recently this place has become a disappointment. When I was a member earlier on, it was great, but too many issues and no benefits for members. Here are the issues: ~ Too many cars than it can handle ~ Customer service is slow and can't get to everyone ~ The kiosk systems and gates seem to always be broken ~ The drying system hardly dries much of the car ~ The parking spots are not as clean (as the previous reviewer mentioned) ~ It's hit or miss whether you receive an air fresneher and a towel ~ Good luck trying to get in and out of there within 10 minutes; it takes forever, even with 3 entry ways -- very inefficient and cluttered. read more

I bought a month car wash. employee assured me it was one month. the second month I was charged agsin I complained and charge was removed. months later I went again. emp assured me it was one month & he didn't put a sticker on my car so I dont have an account #. I was charged a second time. I contacted mgmt. they took forever to get back to me then stated I had to cancel my membership. I wrote back that I had written to them. they are refusing to refund the fraudulent charge. AVOID this business once they get your card they will not stop charging!!!!! read more

Cant make this up!! They gave me a free car wash said not many people were there and it was there employee pass. I was washing a company car and didnt ask for a free wash.. After I went through the car wash and went to vacume the car I discovered they were turned off Went to the office they said they turned them off during the rain and would ask the manager to turn them back on. Waited 10 minutes still no vacume. Waited another 10 min. went back and the next guy said they would turn one lane back on. Waited again and finally went back all the attendee's were on thier phones, no towels or cleaning supplies were outand sternly asked are going to turn them on or NOT ?? Wasting everyone's time ? A JR.. looks like he just got out of 10 th grade manager came out stating I was given a free wash and I was tresspassing and if I asked again he would call police. I said why didnt you just say they were not working and not waste everyones time. I waited for police to come! They lied right to the police and said I was yelling at them and filed a tresspass ticket.. I am 60 year old woman simply trying to use the vacume busy trying to return my company car. I am calling the attorney generals office and BBB. This was unnecessary intimidation because of little scrawny kid didn't like to be confronted on why they weren't doing thier job. read more

This is the Take5 car wash on Colorado Ave. in Avon. This was a great car was when it first opened but it has really taken a nose dive in my opinion. There are many days that they are not open... sunny, dry days that they either open late or don't open at all. If I were the owner, I'd be very upset loosing a lot of business on potentially the busiest days, why are they often closed? Once you're in the wash you'll notice that the first driver side brush barely turns at all, as a result, the drivers side of the back window is never touched and remains dirty. Then the top brush is permanently broken and does not come down at all. The second driver brush spins so fast the side view mirror is yanked forward. There isn't an undercarriage spray that I saw. There used to be a soft cloth rotary towell for drying the hood but that has also been abandoned. If the car wash wasn't so conveniently located, I would cancel in a second. I've been to nice car washes that are a good value for the money, unfortunately, in my opinion, this isn't one of them. read more

I will rarely ever pay $20 for a drive thru car wash. But I had been doing a lot of driving lately and my car literally looked like I had off-roaded deep in the jungle then intentionally rolled around in dust. Jonathan, who assisted me as I approached the pay machine, was oddly super pleasant (more than I expected) and helpful. His spiel on their car wash club was so good I almost felt bad for not purchasing, but I told him he'll get the next person (this car wash just isn't close to me). You can't beat that feeling of seeing your car super clean after its been dirty for a while. The self-guided drive thru was fast and easy and at one point, the multi-colored lights blending the soap on your dashboard looked like literal drip art, and there's something oddly therapeutic about that. If I'm in the area, I would come back again for my once-in-a-while fancy car wash. Its quick, productive, and comes with zero upsell from their staff if you don't need it. read more

Quick, efficient. The wash itself is kinda neon and colorful which makes me smile and it's kinda fun. They have monthly passes which are great for the winter when my car is constantly snowy / salty. Otherwise, a full-service wash is less than $20 and the vacuums are always free to use. Every time you go through they will give you an air freshener, dashboard wipes, or car towel. So been going here since he opened. Decided soon after to buy a membership. Once I bought a membership I'm lucky to get towels or air fresheners now. Also this has destroyed my front plat and plate frame. I can't even come close to getting it flat bow so it grabs it every time. I'm waiting for it to rip it off. I've sent email with pics and made phone calls but have not been contacted yet. I'm trying to cancel my membership! Also several times through the tire shine portion wasn't working and my wheels and tires weren't cleaned or shined. Disappointed because it does clean the car better than most. read more

My husband has gone here since it's opening and continues to love it. He's even considering getting a membership. I decided to go because they generously offered free car washes to healthcare workers during the pandemic. I was expecting the basic wash but the man that greeted me gave me the top of the line wash :) Car washes have always been a fun experience for me but this one entertained my daughter and myself with their green light that made the rainbow soap come down like a neon meteor shower, lol. Took my Subaru through this wash several times with no problems, went back today to purchase a monthly pass, and they stated they would no longer allow cars with Thule containers on the top to go through... Every time the past month the thing they really brag about that theoretically distinguishes them from the competition - the towel drying system - is broken. Neither the side or top towels are working. To make it worse, they're out of the blue cloths they (sometimes) give you when you enter, so at least you can dry your car yourself. But they don't even have those now. Bring your own towel I guess, soon after you drive out, the leftover water freezes on your car. And there's a lot of it. And you'd think they'd cleanup their drying stations parking spots. I mean, once you leave the car wash itself, you're driving through slush and salt and road dirt. It's a car wash. I'd like my car to stay clean at least until I'm out on the road again. Get a clue guys. Most of the time all the workers are just hanging around inside shooting the s***. I Recently had my car washed there and they scratched my car as you can see in the picture it is a fresh scratch which just happened. Three days later they gave me a call and said there's nothing that they are going to do about it because they have footage that shows that the scratch did not happen inside their car wash. I have no idea what type of footage they have that shows this and they obviously will not allow me to see this so called footage. When it first happened i was not upset with them I figured there was a sign that said at own risk so i didnt think they would cover it anyway but wanted to let them know just the way they handled the situation made me upset. Before even looking at the scratch they were giving me reasons why it wasn't there fault. Now im trying to talk to the person that made the decision not to cover it and cant get a return call so now im going to turn it over to my insurance and be hit with a $500 deductible for something they clearly did. Seems like its just a company who got a little business going for them and don't care anymore about customer service like I said even if they wouldn't of covered it I wouldn't of been as upset it's just how they handle it. If you dont want your car scratched save half your money and go to sheets and get a better wash all around I definitely wish i would have that day. read more
