    Chicken cardboard aka chicken katsu

I wish you could give negative stars. I will never go back to this place and I'll do my best to advise as many people I can to stay away. Ordered the chicken katsu and got chicken cardboard. I ordered veggie yakisoba and got dry noodles with 1 piece of broccoli and 2 slivers of carrots. That's it. $37 for crap.

I came into Orting unexpectedly to go to an urgent care in the area as I've been having horrible throbbing ear pain today and my local urgent cares were overwhelmed with people and shut down for the rest of the day. There's still quite a bit of a wait for the one near here so I was put on wait list and went to check out what's around to eat. McDonalds was across the street but yuck ! I ate that garbage throughout my childhood because my mother loved McD's and now it's one of those places I try to avoid at all cost... I'd have to be really starving with nowhere else around to eat there. Subway was another option which isn't a bad one. They aren't my favorite place to get sandwiches but every once in a while Subway is decent. Next to Subway was Modoo Teriyaki and not too far was a Safeway so I could have also gone there and grabbed something in the deli. I decided to go with Modoo because I haven't had Chinese food in a while and it sounded pretty good. It's a small teriyaki joint, was pretty slow when I came in .. as in I was the only one there and in the 20 or so minutes I was in the restaurant there were just a few people who came in separately to pick up to go orders. The vibe was overall very quiet. I got a lavender bubble tea and a teriyaki/sweet and sour chicken combo which is one of my go to combos whenever I go to eat teriyaki. I also had a little bit of lemon water from a dispenser they had at the front counter which was warm and not nearly as refreshing as I hoped. I sat at the table in the very back corner and my order came up super fast.. maybe 3 or 4 minutes from when I sat down. The lavender bubble tea was very nice and my food was pretty good overall, great flavors. The teriyaki was just warm but the sweet and sour was scorching hot to the point where I almost burned my tongue when I first took a bite... kind of seemed like they cooked the teriyaki a head of time. My only other concern is that the portions they give seem kind of small for the price they charge. I paid $30, with $5 of that being a tip which isn't that big of a deal if there's enough food to share with someone or be able to take some to work the next day but to me it wasn't. There's places closer to my home that charge the same and you get so much meat that you could eat off that plate for 3 days and it even comes with free salad and a fortune cookie, no joke ! The employee did offer free fortune cookie to other customers who were taking their order to go but not me. It's not a bad place to go to for this area if you have that teriyaki craving but now I see not all Teriyaki establishments are created equally.

This place is great! Hot food very quick service. I got 3 appetizers which were about $20 + tip. Yum!

I just moved here from San Francisco and I've been having a very difficult time finding good Chinese food. I've been told by the locals that Teriyaki places make Chinese food here so I thought I'd try it and was very disappointed. Everything was extremely sweet. This is why I ordered chow mein instead of yakisoba because I don't like the sweetness of yakisoba but the chow mein was so sweet. The beef and broccoli was also super sweet. Their Japanese menu might better options so I'll try that next time.

    Time for some grub.

Not to bad of a little place, just like wawa when it comes to teriyaki. Both places are good and I don't really have a favorite. I ordered the beef teriyaki and it's not as good as Teriyaki 2U that's for sure. Over priced here and unfortunately when eating inside it's hot, muggy, and no AC. I will be comin back to this location if I am in Orting but this time maybe I will try something that I have never had from a teriyaki joint.

The chicken is way over cooked or old it was more like jerky so tough I couldn't eat it. The Thai tea was good.

Most little teriyaki joints are all the same but this has some unique pairings such as the teriyaki and tempura! Yummy yummy in my tummy!

Delicious every single time. Our favorites are the sesame chicken, teriyaki chicken, crab egg rolls, and orange chicken.

A bit pricier than our usual Thai spot and wasn't the best Thai food I've ever had but still a solid place if you're ever in the area.

From the moment we walked in, no one was warm, no one even welcomed us, we had a reservation and still waited to be seated. The host was not friendly. Our waiter didn't even introduce themselves and it took us 30 minutes to get water after asking. Our drinks came out all at separate times, I had to remind him for my mom's prebiotic soda, which he served in the can, no glass and didn't open it. Our meals all came out at different times as well. Overall no one had a sense of urgency, no one seemed to prioritize a good dining experience, and it was so disappointing because again the food and ambience was there. Looked up on Yelp and came up with this amazing find. Located in a non descript older strip mall, it doesn't look like much from the outside. The inside is very cozy. Kodie was our server. She was amazing. Very cordial and friendly. We ordered the deluxe sashimi and the tempura meal. I included a photo of the sashimi meal. And yes it does taste as amazing as it looks. The fish was very fresh and the cuts were amazing. As for the tempura, it too was very good. If you've eaten tempura as often as I have, you can quickly tell the difference between low quality and high quality batter. Generous portion sizes too. The meals came with miso soup and a salad. Very enjoyable. Thank you very much again Kodie and the rest of the crew for a fantastic experience. We look forward to coming back the next time we are in town

I've been here a few times with my husband, daughter, cousin and other family members. The restaurant is located off 39th Avenue across from Chik-fil-A and behind Mukja Korean Barbecue restaurant. Parking is limited in the front section of the restaurant. More parking at the left side of the building. The employees are nice and welcoming. The interior is clean, not so bright, slightly dark interior and comfortable vibe. We have ordered and tried the following: -Bento box with beef and mixed tempura $27.00. -Dynamite roll (it's ok) -Ari roll (yummy!) -Mt Fuji roll (yummy!) -Crunch Shrimp roll (yummy!) -Seaweed salad (yummy!) -Epic Spicy Tuna roll (yummy!) -Rockstar roll (yummy!) Happy and returning customers! =D
