Wonderful ambiance and lovely attentive service. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in and our hostess was so kind and generous. The decor is beautiful, with gorgeous light fixtures and art. The food was less spectacular but, given the other patrons, I suspect it's Asian food prepared for American tastes -- which is a perfectly respectful thing. No overly strong flavors or odd ingredients, just a very mild comfort food vibe. I will definitely go back and try more items just because I liked the people so much. read more

Let's start with the great and work our way down. Great - the atmosphere, the food and the portion sizes, in that order. The atmosphere is exotic and cozy, the food perfectly cooked and delicious, the portions were each large enough for two. Not So Great - the prices and the service. My husband had one cocktail and one glass of wine, we each ordered our own dish, with tip the bill came to $85. A little steep, but the portions were large. We had two servers, one was fantastic, the other left me confused. Please don't come to my table with the check wearing your coat and carrying your bag when the restaurant doesn't close for another hour. Then absentmindedly say you're welcome, throw the pen on the table and go sit in the corner on your phone waiting for us to leave. :( read more

I really like the menu. There is a variety to choose from, featuring noodles or rice, some fried options and comfort foods. I felt it was a few dollars too expensive - $18.95 for my Cashew Chicken meal with no rice included. Steamed white rice ($3.95) - so the meal more than other similar spots, *but* it was plentiful and *delicious*. The chicken cooked just right with fall apart pieces and a delectable brown sauce. Lots of veggies too. Interior is cute with nice lighting. The restaurant was busy with almost every table taken at 5:45pm on a Saturday. Tonight we went to a show at Tacoma Musical Playhouse and met friends for dinner. This would be our second time. The restaurant itself is clean and a decent ambiance. The service tonight was poor and we felt like we were being rushed to order. The food was decent but nothing spectacular. My lemongrass chicken was chewy and almost inedible. I've lived near this restaurant for as long as I can remember, but finally got to try it today. Definitely glad I did! Coming in, the decor and overall vibe was chill. Something you'd expect in a Thai restaurant with lots of dark wood and low lightning. We were seated quickly and given options on where we want to sit. Our server was very kind. Looking at the menu, we noticed that the items were pretty pricey. We ordered the jenga tofu, which came with a sweet and somewhat spicy sauce as our appetizer. It came out pretty quickly and tasted great! For our entree, my buddy ordered a pad Thai and I got the udon cashew noodles with pork. My entree was amazing! I have absolutely no complaints about it. An unexpected phenomenal surprise. From the street, this is an understated but lovely spot. Inside is extra lovely. Multiple seating options, art and objects that make the mood. We stopped here on the way from Seattle to Portland. The menu looked great online and reviews were good. We eat a lot of Asian Fusion. Although our bar for excellence is high, this wasn't exactly a destination for us, just a good place on the way. We were blown away by the food quality. Had Thai Beef Salad, Fresh Rolls with chicken and shrimp, and Chicken Lettuce wraps. Each dish had superb flavor, thoughtful/stunning presentation. We also had a dynamic young waiter, and we enjoyed hearing his engagement with the food (he knew this cuisine intimately) and with the family that seemed to own the place. Go. Take out if you want. The menu is quite extensive but it seemed like they didn't always have all the meats available because I tried to get the grilled lemongrass dish with prawns and they only had chicken. Absolutely loved the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, my fun date and I ate them so quickly, didn't think to take a picture. Pad Thai and Pang Yang curry and edamame were all delicious. We decided to try this place tonight, after seeing on a neighborhood website that it was open again. Hubby has never been interested in eating Thai food with me because he doesn't like curry or coconut, so when he suggested it, I readily agreed. We ordered the pork satay, chicken Phad Thai, and Panang curry with chicken. We both loved it all.. Serving sizes are huge, great flavor, and the peanut sauce is TO.DIE.FOR. We've been wanting to try this new Asian Fusion (Fuzion Cafe) since they opened recently so today while in the neighborhood, we decided to stop in for lunch. It's located in an older building that's been very nicely redone outside - nice street appeal. Inside is even nicer - the dining space being divided into an "L" shape - the South pointing end is cozy and inviting, with a modern decor and gas fireplace on the southern-most wall. The East pointing end is equally charming and overall, the look inside is modern and inviting. We were presented with 2 menus - the official lunch/dinner/wine menu with a huge assortment of dishes, and a "lunch specials" sheet. Prices are more on an upscale range - the lunch specials are $12 ($11.95 technically) and regular menu items range considerably higher. We ordered the Spicy Basil Chicken and the Ginger Broccoli Beef from the specials menu. Oddly, the menu says choice of soup or salad (we wanted to try one of each), we were quickly presented with soup and not given the option. But that's OK - the soup was Thai-inspired chicken noodle and was very tasty with a well-seasoned broth with cilantro, and delicate chicken with a few light veggies. The main course dishes were "A-OK" per the Yelp 3-star rating system. The beef dish was a bit bland overall - tasty sauce but it didn't carry over to the beef hardly at all. The chicken dish was better with a richer blend of seasonings. Both dishes offered wonderful vegetables - more than you typically would expect, and fresher - whole green beans, beautifully trimmed carrots, and other very nicely done vegetables that all helped to round out the dishes. A bowl of hot fresh rice was placed in the middle of the table to share. Very nicely done, delicate texture rice with a good flavor. Service was a bit odd - maybe just getting used to how to run being somewhat new. We had to ask twice for most things - water and tea (which is $2.25 extra, but they don't tell you that - they just ask if you want tea and ice water) had to be requested twice, and both were pretty slow to arrive. Same with our request for chopsticks - finally had to go to the counter and ask. Also note that the acoustical environment is not great. It's LOUD. When the building was built out, they installed highly reflective surfaces on the ceiling and the floor is concrete - we had a hard time conversing due to other diners talking loudly. The bus person brought new cutlery to the lobby bin and made no effort to fill all the trays quietly - just clang, crash bang - for over a minute - during which no one could reasonably hear their dining partner. But overall, it was an enjoyable lunch with quality food - I wish Yelp offered "half stars" as I'd rate Fuzion Cafe at 3.5 instead of just 3.0 - but still fits the "A-OK" qualifier that is the Yelp 3-star rating. read more

Ordered for first time tonight. The food was "fine" or "ok". Not worth the prices. We ordered Green Curry w/ chicken, crab wontons, the spicy basil seafood, and Burmese noodles. Nothing special (which has been the case in Tacoma so far...). We compare everything to Family Thai in Silverdale (thankfully hubby works near there and can bring stuff home). Huge issue was the seafood dish was packed on bottom- the package was soaked and leaking all over bag. The burmese noodles also were leaking out of container. The wontons melted part of styrofoam container. Sad this did not work out for us. read more
