Food's amazing so fast for take out and dine in. Not even 10 minutes my food's ready, hot and delicious. I was here last week to order coworkers food and same thing under 15 minutes it was ready. Thanks guys!!

Food: Teriyaki tastes like cardboard with teriyaki sauce. A combo w/ Gyoza ended up being $21. Came with a salad that was good. Their service was quick for a togo order. Ambiance is like any other teriyaki joint.

The Chicken Teriyaki never fails and the Prawn tempura are amazing! The food is always fast and fresh to order!

I've been going here every Monday night for about a year and my chicken katsu has been perfectly delicious almost every time. The rice is also always cooked perfectly and is slightly better quality than most other teriyaki places. They are always so quick and very sweet as well!

Delicious teriyaki, first time here and was greeted very kindly. Ordered chicken teriyaki meal comes with salad and was reasonably priced. Great place to stop by for lunch!!

Teriyaki chicken/Mongolian beef regular menu size $18 w/tax, a bit pricey but good, decent portion.

First visit to this place in years. Couldn't recall experience. I went in and placed an order to go set for 90 mins. later, which was ready when returned. Gal at counter (likely the owner) was nice to greet when walking in door from counter. Haven't ordered teriyaki in 2-3 yrs. was shell shocked to see how prices have really increased there as well. I ordered a combo meal of teriyaki chicken & Mongolian beef which came w/ rice and salad. It was like $16 but w/tax over $18! Gosh wasn't long ago TWO big meals were around $20-25. The portion was decent, got more beef than chicken which surprised me but was glad because after sitting 4 hours and reheating in microwave the chicken was a bit on dry side yet beef still fairly moist. So it's unclear what part the reheating did but obviously didn't help. Flavors/sauce good, rice still moist, salad basic but dressing tasty. All in all would probably order again. It's been at that location a long time for a reason.

A SLUG

I would give this no stars if I could! I've been to this place maybe 4-5 times. Today I ate maybe 10 bites of my chicken fried rice before I SAW A SLUG in my food. I noticed this around 8:55 and called at 8:58 but unfortunately they close at 9 and didn't answer the phone. I will be going in tomorrow. Update: They gave me a refund for my food

Great value and service. You can never go wrong with Shilla. Definitely our favorite Teriyaki in the South Hill area.

I order prawns and got small shrimp. My salad had mostly cabbage. I wasn't impressed for the price and taste it was my first and last time.

My boyfriend and I have been here twice for lunch. Once last year and just recently. They have…read moreincreased their lunch prices since then so just be aware that the menus I posted last year are not the same as this current year. I had gotten their bento lunch special last year and was very happy with the amount of food but did not receive miso soup. They raised this price by $5 and I couldn't really justify that so I decided to get something else. My boyfriend got their sushi roll lunch special last time and in our recent visit and was happy with his choices. I got the sushi rolls lunch specials this time and I wished the rolls had more rice on them as there spots that had no rice at all or it would just come apart. For our rolls, we have tried their Philly roll, shrimp tempura roll, Lion King Roll, and spicy Bay roll. The sushi here is just your average sushi spot. It doesn't really differentiate itself from other places. For example, the spicy bay roll that I got just had a line of sriracha sauce and I was hoping for their own spicy sauce to top it off. The teriyaki was good from what I remembered but again, nothing to really differentiate it from other nearby locations. The service is friendly but they never come back to check on you or refill waters. Even when we were finished, the waitress was watching TV and must have got engrossed in it that she forgot we were there as no take out orders or other customers came in while we were there. They do have a large TV playing sports but no music and the TV was rather quiet. The space is nice but it just felt very dark but we sat next to a window so I could take nice pictures. I think this will be our last visit as there are other locations offer a better dining experience with better service and ambiance.

Looks sketchy on the outside but inside is the nicest couple who runs this restaurant that are…read moremasters of amazing, well-portioned sushi. One of Puyallup's best kept secrets!

Philly cheese roll Killer shrimp roll…read moreTempura crunch roll Edemame Crab Rangoon Sweet and sour chicken! So I found this place perfect for sushi in our area! They make the rolls friesh- are always fast and super friendly! But when one of us wants sushi and the other doesn't- this spot hits! Because they aren't a one stop shop- they actually do both sushi and non sushi items very well! Loves the sweet and sour!!!! Perfect for when you want a variety!

I ordered the Sushi Regular, which comes with 10 chef-picked Nigiri. Sadly, the only fish on that plate that was super fresh was the Tuna. The Yellowtail was very discolored around the edges, had a slight fishy odor, and tasted like it waz about to go bad. The Super White was not as creamy as it typically would be if fresher, but both were still ok to eat. I ordered a Spicy Scallop hand roll, but what came out was a spicy imitation crab hand roll with a couple tiny pieces of something (hard to tell bcs it was minced.) I sent it back bcs who would pay $8 for imitation crab? I do want to point out that this place is trying to pass off Tilapia as Red Snapper. Tsk tsk. It even says it on the menu. Wow. The Miso soup was typical. The Gyoza was flavorless and overcooked. On a positive note, the Spicy & Spicy roll was fantastic. Service: The server/waitress was amazing! Aside from that, this place can do better. No greeting from the chefs when you walk in. When I asked if they would please give me fresh Yellowtail to add to my order, they stated all they had available was what was in the case. BAD! If you have a saavy customer asking for fresh fish, you make it happen bcs it's your opportunity to make things right! The prices do not match the quality here. I had planned on ordering food to go afterward, but changed my mind. Overall, I may give this place another try at some point bcs everyone has "off" days. 3 stars...the extra star is purely for the outstanding server.
