They were super thin to begin with, and with age they had started to thin out even more. They were so thin, they disappeared in photos . Anyways, she helped me pick out color that would complement my ever changing hair color. The process it self isn't completely painless. She uses numbing creams on your brows so it is a lot less painful than getting a tattoo, but you do still feel the tools slightly on your skin. (A little) pain is beauty, right? Keep in mind your skin and your skin care routine can really impact how long it will take your brows to fade. You should expect to come in once a year for an annual touch up. Immediately after after a visit you'll need to avoid getting water on your brows for a day, and then avoid being in direct sunlight and sweating (I avoided taking cardio) for about a week for the ink to set. This is the same with tattoos (which I have a few of so I was prepared for this). Your brows will look darker than expected due to scabbing but your real brows will be revealed by the end of the week! One last thing to be prepared for: funny looks from people when your skin starts to heal and peel One patch of skin on my right brow which for no good reason just does not hold ink. It fades super quick compared to the rest which stays and fades consistently over a year, but this one spot just refuses to keep ink! Amy has been super helpful and nice in doing extra sessions to try going over that spot a bit extra. It's definitely easy enough to fill in this one spot with makeup but wanted to mention since Amy has done everything to to try to help it, but it's clearly an issue with that patch of skin. For you people who hate calling to make appointments, you can schedule online and even text her direct (I've sent photos of my brows this way) and she's super quick (within 24 hours) in responding!

During the healing process, your brows are pretty dark, and I actually grew to love the 'bolder' brows; so when I go back for my six week refresh, I'm choosing 'to go black.' The fact remains that I developed redness, irritation, and scabbing in the exact areas where the chemical products were applied within 24 hours of the service. Delayed skin reactions following cosmetic chemical treatments are well documented and do not need to be visible immediately after a procedure to be related to it. I also find it disappointing that throughout this process the focus has been on defending the service and assigning fault to the client rather than acknowledging that adverse reactions can occur even when procedures are performed by experienced professionals. At this point, I am not interested in a redo of the service. My concern is not the appearance of my brows, but the reaction that occurred and the lack of accountability shown in response to it. Given my experience, I do not feel comfortable returning to your studio in the future.

She ended up doing a lighter color, then went over it with red after I complained, which the red isn't what I desired either. Finally, she did not lip line anything... And there is a line around my lips for not doing so. I literally now have bright red lips, which I hope that actually fade at some point. She was very confrontational when I tried to have a conversation with her about my concerns. She insisted I just had to trust the process... Which, if she actually picked the color that I requested... Maybe my lips would not be so bright red. Also, if she actually had a consultation prior to trying to numb my lips... And rush the process... Then maybe we would not be having this situation. Everything seemed rushed from start to finish. It was very unprofessional. Also, if she would've done the color I selected from the start... Instead of doing a super light color then having to "try to fix it"... Then maybe I would've had the color I wanted. I went ahead and made an appointment for a Gel X manicure and gel pedicure. I received a text confirmation when my appointment was booked as well as reminder texts as well for my upcoming appointments. I had a great spa pedicure experience and felt relaxed throughout my service. The gel polish was applied neatly and my nails weren't cut down too short; there was plenty of room left for growth. Moving onto the manicure... there was way too much glue added onto each nail and there was so much residue left underneath my fingertips. When the LED light was placed over each finger, I vocalized to my nail tech that it was getting pretty hot and she said "it's okay" (of course it was, because it wasn't hot for her!) and I just ended up taking my whole hand out because she clearly didn't care or listen to my concern. When the polish was applied, it was done neatly and I liked the final color result, but there wasn't any cleanup done beneath my nails. I was able to pick some of the glue residue out when I got home, but wasn't able to get it all out. The pricing here is reasonable and the salon is clean and well kept, but I don't think that I'd come back since I was brushed off during the process of getting my Gel X manicure.
