So a few years ago I was here and had some beers, which has always been really good and had some of their pizza, which was awful. So every time I was there I got a pizza from next door. Well today 06/26/2025 I had did the same as I always did get a few beers and a pizza from next door. The manager ask me not to do this anymore as they had revamped their pizza So he opted to prove it by getting me a pizza of theirs. Well their pizza is truly awesome. Now I can really enjoy pizza and beer. FYI This my first ever review on any business. As I said they make really good beer and now great pizza. Best combination ever. read more

It's a decent place to get a drink. I'm not big on the location it's too close to main st where everyone is loud and revving cars and whatnot. The beer is a good selection, my only gripe is that they don't do growlers....in what world does a brewery not do growlers? Weirdos man. Overall a good place, just hate the location. read more

Love it here, 10/10 recommend the sour. Food is good, nothing to write home about but the beers worth it.

Ambiance was nice and clean. Service was good. Beers were fair. Co2 seemed off on a couple of them, specifically their Pilsner. Their hazy IPA was their best in my opinion. read more

The other two Keene breweries were closed and we are so happy that they were. The IPAs are awesome. The bread dough that they make and bake their pizza crust and pretzels from is awesome and made from the spent brewing grains. The guy at the taps was awesome on the evening of Dec 19. We stopped at Modestman Brewing to get some brews to take to our kids house for the holidays. Of course we had a pint in the tasting room. I tried the Like Water for Chocolate ( English Brown Ale) and it is excellent! Duane had his favorite, Center of Attention ( NEIPA). I stopped in to meet my father and sister for a quick drink. We were happily greeted by Sadie at the bar who gave us many recommendations and let us know about the band starting in a couple hours. We ordered nachos from the food truck and promptly after finishing Adam stopped by to make sure everything was going well. Adam proved to be very very friendly, accommodating and treated us like we were family. Because if his hospitality we ended up staying for hours enjoying the band and the whole experience. Always a perfect experience when I come here. All staff were wearing masks & they are always friendly. The tap room is beautiful. Their beer is always outstanding. They have a great selection of IPA's and sours. I believe they also brew Porters. If you love IPA's, you MUST have The Most Beautifullest Thing in This World & Center of Attention Mega. They are the best IPA's and I drive 90 minutes one way to buy them. They offer cans of their beer. Just check the website to see which beers they offer in cans. In the summer, they have their own delicious food truck in the back of the building. Otherwise, you can bring your own food to enjoy in the tap room. They had propane heaters outside last night which were great. I do wish that their brewery had a better sign out front. You just have to look for the posters in the windows to find the brewery. This is a top notch phenomenal brewery that is a must visit if you're anywhere near Keene. read more

Modest man is exactly that. It's a hip relaxing environment with a great staff. The beer is great, the double ipa's the best. But, the hidden gem? The food truck. Everything, no joke, everything is FANTASTIC. The wings were smoky and crispy, grease free and full of flavor. The beef tongue pastrami is sensational and served on a perfectly toasted baguette. Smoky and brisket like with better flavor and more subdued fat profile. It's super tender and amazing. The wife loves the chicken poboy. Today, we brought friends. One had homemade chorizo which was great. The other the pastrami. Loved it! We travel 20 minutes out of our way to eat here and have a beer. This is our second trip and we will come weekly for a beer but certainly the Food. read more
