You can tell she enjoys doing this and takes pride in her work. She isn't someone just going through the motions. I am very impressed with my brows and the overall experience. A little run down of what happens - you make a consult appointment and then go in for the consult. She explains the process and actually outlines the areas where your brows should be. If you decide to proceed, you then make an appointment for the microblading. This appointment takes approx. 1 1/2 hours. I will admit that it is slightly uncomfortable when she first starts but she then adds a numbing cream and you can no longer feel it. You then make your appt for approx 6 weeks for a fill. Riki gives you a detailed sheet with what to expect and do over the next few weeks. She also gives you the items needed for the initial few weeks - cleanser, ointment to be applied. You cannot exercise to where you sweat for 2 weeks - you've been warned ladies! LOL - this part was a little frustrating for me but I got my run done in the morning before going and just knew what to expect and thought about long term and how I didn't want to impact the look, plus I just spent all of that money, there was no way I was damaging her awesome work! The second week, I had a little flaking and they were a little itchy. Overall, a great experience and I would highly recommend going here, if you are considering microblading.

Don't even think about booking anyone else. Riki is the best and she books up quick. I was always afraid that my wedding makeup would end up looking too overdone, but Riki completely dispelled those fears. I've never seen some deftly transition between makeup styles. For my bridesmaid who wanted it heavier, she got it. For my mom who doesn't wear makeup and wanted just a touch of it, she got it. If you explain to Riki what you want (even in general terms) she makes it happen. She's a makeup magician! And such a calming presence too. Truly, can't thank her enough for making me feel and look like myself on my wedding day!

Situated in a plaza in the village of Liverpool,Utopia Hair Professionals offers full beauty…read moreservices for your look. Perms, reconstructive treatments, hair coloring and straightening are just some of their specialized offers, and they also have a barbershop area in the front for men's haircuts, and even back or chest waxing. Now...I'm obviously bald, so I can't personally speak to their haircuts, BUT...I have a large beard I always keep. Years ago, I started searching for a barber who could shape me up, fix up my lines, etc. All the stuff I don't wanna do at home for fear of messing up. I had it done by a couple people, but wasn't completely satisfied with my results. One day, before my wedding, I randomly walked into Utopia looking to get a trim. Matt was sitting behind the counter and said he could take me right then. And since then, he is the only person I allow to trim up my beard. He is the only one who has ever done exactly what I wanted done. While I don't have hair, I've seen what Matt can do with cuts, and he does a great job with those too. He is also a very personable, nice guy to deal with, and it's enjoyable having some banter with him while getting a trim. The one drawback is, other than the first time I walked in, I have NEVER simply walked in and gotten a trim. Matt is walk-in only, and he's pretty popular, and there's always a line and a wait. But, there are plenty of other stylists who can help you in both the barbershop and the salon as well. My wife has gotten her hair cut and styled several times by several different stylists here and has always walked out happy and looking good. Their prices are very fair, they're in a plaza so there is always plenty of parking, and all their employees have always been extremely pleasant to deal with, including the owner, who is always there and making conversation with customers. Highly recommend.

I called Utopia around 12:15 and asked if it would be possible to get in that afternoon (I knew it was last minute and chances may be slim, but hey, I was off the rest of the day). The woman on the phone was pleasant and said sure, what do you want done? Just a simple cut. When did I want to come in? After 2. We landed on 2:30 with Nina. Great! I arrived at 2:20 and was met at the reception desk by a young woman with bleach blonde hair. She was nice, she crossed me off the list and told me I could wait in the waiting area on the salon side. I asked to use the restroom, she pointed me to the back. It was clean, the whole salon seemed relatively clean. I remember noting that as I waited. And waited. And waited. I'm not a complainer and worked in the service industry for years...I'm probably the hardest customer to piss off. As I was sitting there waiting (35 minutes) I watched if I'm counting right 5 other stylists notice me and ignore me, by the time I was hitting the 30 minute mark, no one had clients, none them cared enough to go check the book and see who I might have been here to see? Maybe ch check in with the person you keep stepping out of the break room to look at? No, it's cool, I'll just sit here in awkward silence being ignored by everyone. Finally, Nina came over and apologized for the mix up (apologized like 4-5 times), eh, ok we can start fresh...I had already noticed the lack of teamwork in this place. Nina would have known I was there if blondie from the reception desk had walked over and politely told her that her 2:30 had arrived....nah, she had a big 'ol drink she needed to hang out in the barber shop and work on. Nina was great! She had a bubbly, funny personality and was easy to get along with. I like my hair. We moved over to do my eyebrows. I loved the chocolate wax and my skin is sensitive, so I appreciated that it didn't leave me red as long. While Nina was doing my eyebrows (my eyes were closed) I hear an older woman say with a snarky tone "you're behind all day aren't you?" The older woman moved over towards the washing station. "Your 3:30 and 4 are here and it's 3:45" with another snarky chuckle. Is she the manager or something? Nina asked her, "Can you do me a favor?" Huge sigh. Nina says "Nevermind" and gets quiet. "What? What? I can't hear you? You just stopped talking". Nina then went ahead, "if you have a minute, can you do me a favor?" The woman quickly snapped, "I don't have time to take one, I have a client coming." "No, I just wondered if you could check the schedule, I believe one of them is here at the wrong time." I was so uncomfortable. I even said, "well you're almost done with me." This other woman had turned the whole experience into a disaster. She was rude, acted superior (as if she were the manager), and lacked teamwork. When we walked over to pay she was sitting behind the reception desk and informed Nina that she had blocked off the rest of her open appointments, again with lots of snarky attitude. I payed, used the ATM (the only way to tip is with cash). She had to break the $20 for me - sorry for the inconvenience. In summation, I won't be back, not because of Nina, but because of the lack of teamwork and (not sure if she's the manager) older rude stylist. Nina, you don't have to put up with someone treating you like that in front of a client...talk to the owner about it or find yourself a salon where teamwork and respect are priorities. You could always call Tabatha's Salon Takeover!
