I apologized again and again and told her it was a technical error, and she keeps repeating her frustration at me, while she's laying into me, she uses severe heat and pulls at my roots. She also criticized my hair itself. While I understand that she may have been frustrated, this did not warrant such unnecessary behavior, was a very unpleasant experience.

As others have noted, the salon itself is lovely. It's on the second floor, with lots of natural light and views of Westcott Street. I came first thing in the morning so finding parking was a breeze, but I think you'll be able to find a spot within a short walk anytime. It looks like they have drinks (including mimosas) available for customers but it was first thing in the morning so I didn't partake. I went for a simple trim with layers, and it took about 1/2 an hour including the wash. The price was as listed, and actually a little lower than comparable salons in the area of the same quality. I don't get my hair cut super often, but I'd definitely come back here!

It's absolutely gorgeous, with windows that bring in great natural light, creating an open and welcoming atmosphere. Doug, the owner of Wescott Barber, played a huge role in bringing this salon to life, and you can see the craftsmanship in every detail. She made my almost 4-year-old feel so comfortable, and they were having the cutest conversation during our visit. It's such a kid-friendly environment, which is a huge plus for parents. While the look of the salon may tempt you to go inside for a walk in, book your appointment online. The stylists take their time with customers, which is what you want (especially with hair color). Stylists are diversified in their skill and technique and whether you are looking for the latest in hair color, extensions, nails, or a curly hair specialist, you can have it done there . They also sell a lot of the newest hair products that you only really see on instagram and not in stores. I have very curly dark brown hair. I know how important it is to go to a stylist that understands texture and hair health, and they definitely understand here. I have been going to the owner for years and the majority of clients are repeat customers so that should tell you something.
