This place is amazing. My mom and I have been coming here since August 2017, and neither of us have found a better nail place than this. My nails haven't broken once since coming here, and they used to break often before we found this place. The owner, Tony, is really kind and can get both my nails and my mom's nails done in an hour or less. The prices are good for the quality you get. Yesterday they were really busy, so Tony asked if we could come back that evening or the next day and he would take care of us. We came in today, and he gave us both gel nails (we never get gel because usually we can't afford it) and didn't ask anything for it. All of the staff are really kind and they are always really precise with the polish and filing. I 100% recommend coming here, it's worth it! The last time I went to this salon was to get acrylics for my birthday. It was a lazy Sunday so I wasn't wearing any makeup and just wore comfortable clothing. The first thing the nail tech said as I sat down was that I looked tired! I brushed it off and forced myself to chuckle, but when she later laughed at me when I told her I did nail art in my spare time, I couldn't help but be offended. She may have her licensing (although as sketchy as this place is I doubt any of the nail techs do) but the nail art she had was awful! She had an attitude the whole time as well, as if servicing me was an issue even though it's her JOB. Not to mention my acrylics were horribly uneven and I had to fix them when I got home. I'm 16 years old and have been doing nail art for about 5 years, and it's incredibly sad that I of all people did a better job on my nails than the nail tech. She didn't even remove the excess acrylic from under my nails. My friend's mom paid for my acrylics as a birthday gift and we were extremely over charged. Almost $200 for two sets of acrylics, advertised as $55 and a simple gel manicure advertised as $30. Added up, it should've been $140 plus tax, which DEFINITELY would not be $60. ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS SERVICE. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE INSULTED AND SCAMMED. WOULD RATE LOWER IF IT WAS POSSIBLE. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS PLACE CLOSED FOR GOOD. read more

Buyers beware: outrageous pricing for less than mediocre service. My mother in law and I went to Modern Nails on March 11, 2018 for her first ever pedicure to be mislead on the wait time and to be extremely over-billed. To begin, the gentlemen checking us in told us it would be about a 30 minute wait. We walked around the mall and came back to the salon about 30 minutes later and was told to pick out our colors. They sat us in their pedicure area and told us they would be with us shortly. About another 30- 45 minutes went by before we were approached by one pedicure tech who asked who wanted to go first. I offered for my mother in law as it was for her birthday and it was her first time. The tech was talking to my MIL and I could clearly understand that she was up-selling the purchase offering wax for her feet and scrub for her legs along with the pedicure. Which I was fine with because it was her first time and I wanted her to experience the best. A little while later, I finally had a pedicure tech approach me . At the time, I told her I wanted the basic package which she provided ( it took less than 15 minute for her to complete from start to finish). Modern nails then charged me 128 total to have two pedicures. I could not believe what I was hearing, when they told me the total. I asked them how it this much and they stated my MIL total was $70 and mine was $50 plus tax. I have been to many many nail salons and have never been so surprised about the price of services. There was nothing special about this salon or their services provide. Stay far away from this salon. read more

Don't bother making an appointment. We called early in the morning and made two appointments. Arrived promptly for our appts and was told it would be a few minutes while they cleaned the machines. Waited 15 minutes while they finished up the people in the chairs then cleaned them. They then proceeded to seat people that just walked in the door... and they had an appointment after ours!!! They didn't even offer us anything other than.. "Do you have any more shopping to do?" NO, I have been sitting here waiting on the machines.. Waste of my time. NEVER AGAIN! Would never get a mani / pedi there. WORST customer service ever. Don't bother making a appointment since they don't honor them anyways. read more
