Here are the key issues that surfaced during my project: Quality of Work - The cleanup and restoration work did not meet the promised standards. Despite assurances of thoroughness, some bed areas were left uncleared, with debris and weeds remaining. Additionally, items like edging and pruning that were included in the scope of services were not performed at all. Beyond the dethatching, the lawn restoration work yielded a lackluster result. Customer Communication - Written communications with GoGreen were very frustrating. After pointing out the issues that I had with the work performed, GoGreen accused me of overwatering the new seed, planning to never pay in full, and finally of having unrealistic expectations. The issue was exacerbated after I partially paid the invoice for the cleanup work while waiting for improvements in the new lawn. After receiving some angry, defensive responses, I informed GoGreen they were no longer welcome at my home. I attempted to settle the balance by offering to pay for materials and dethatching since I now need to fix the issues myself or hire another company. I then received another email threatening me with a lien on my property if I didn't pay in full. This response felt heavy-handed and added unnecessary stress to an already frustrating experience. Despite my obvious displeasure with the outcome, I paid the outstanding balance in full. Conclusion - I'm sure after reading this review, GoGreen will write a response blaming me for the outcome. Nothing GoGreen responds with will take away the fact that I wrote this review because GoGreen failed to deliver what was promised in the original scope of work. So, if you have unlimited financial resources and have extremely low expectations regarding the outcomes of your home projects, then GoGreen might be for you. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere for landscaping services.

Several came out for bids, but only about half followed up or responded to my emails. Doan's bid was in line with the other bids I received, with a slight competitive edge. Doan's Landscaping is a family business and Doan's wife Jessica handled the correspondences. She was very timely with her responses and was available via email, phone, and text. For what I was looking for Doan and Jessica were very easy to work with. I just wanted to replace my old and dilapidated fence with the same style that was existing and putting a small retaining wall and pavers throughout. I wasn't looking to use a landscape designer to do anything fancy, but I think if you had a vision that Doan and Jessica could achieve it. Doan's team were early every morning and they actually completed the job sooner than expected, which in my experience having completed two whole home remodeling projects never happens so I was very impressed with their team's work ethic. They worked incredibly hard even when it was pouring with rain. Either or both Doan and Jessica themselves were onsite most days working along side their team. There was a bit of miscommunication with part of the retaining wall, but they came back to fix it and now it looks as expected. Overall I'm very happy with the experience and quality of work. The job was completed early and on budget. It was a great value for what I paid.

He came by to look at the property on Thursday and gave me a quote. They were here for six hours on Saturday (today) and we are absolutely blown out of the water by their work. I made some subpar before and after pictures. (The before pictures were taken earlier in the spring when my peonies were in bloom... they didn't rip out my blooming flowers, I swear!) They ripped out and cleaned up the yucca I've been fighting with for years. They took pick axes to the grown in grass and found the edge of the garden again. They provided and spread mulch after removing the old stuff. And when they were done and had left, they came back 5 minutes later to empty the water in our pond that had been dirtied by the debris being blown, without us asking. HIGHLY recommend these guys.
