He introduced himself as JJ from JJ's Landscaping and offered to come by and give us a free estimate on an irrigation system. We called JJ the next day and he came out, did a full assessment, and gave us a very reasonable price in writing (not an estimate, as he kept to his word on the final amount). We decided to go forward immediately and it turns out to be one of the best decisions we've made since moving here. JJ's crew is amazing and they clearly enjoy their work. It took a couple of days to finish our fairly large yard and we now have a very efficient sprinkler system that covers our entire property. JJ even included a drip system for our many flower pots. No more dragging around a heavy hose for watering the potted plants. Our lawn is now lush, green and without the horrible brown spots and the flowers are prolific. JJ assured us his work was not finished until we were happy (which we are at 100%+). We plan on having JJ and his crew out for other landscaping needs in the future. I have owed Nick a review for too long for the beautiful custom backyard he built for us in the…read moresummer of 2022, so here it is. Previously we were not using our backyard too often - we had huge leyland cypresses along our fenceline that absolutely choked any sunlight out of the backyard. We had moss everywhere, grass that struggled to grow in the shade and grew patchy, and some large magnolia trees that would constantly get damaged by the winter snows. We love being outdoors and spending time in our backyard, but wanted to upgrade the space. We worked with Nick to create a custom plan and redesign our backyard from the ground up, including a covered patio area with BBQ grill and flat top, mini fridge, and a beautiful stone fireplace. Nick's team wrapped the columns of the patio cover with stone, and laid it all out on a bluestone paved patio. He was also able to accommodate a hot tub, and finished it all off with lovely landscaping and plants. We even added a shed and wired it up as an extra entertainment room. Throughout the whole process Nick was patient and accommodating, and was flexible as we encountered problems or changes that needed to be made. Most likely the bushes will never recover. In the event they do, it will take years of growth to cover the gaping holes. Not only was it a mistake to jump so far over the property line (15' - 25') it is clear from the results of their work they had no idea what they were doing. Viewed from the street it is a real eye sore. To add insult to injury, they didn't even cleanup the clippings.
