Hired Economy Landscape to do a fairly complex backyard redo: Regrade my backyard to go away from the house, 114 feet of retaining wall, irrigation, 30x30 patio, french drain and sod. They knock this one out of the ball park... competitive price and professional work, highly recommend them for all your landscaping needs from simple to more complex.

Before

Very responsive guys. I requested a quote to dig up 400sqft of lawn and lay new sod. They quoted me just over half my other bid and could do it the following week. All was complete in 1 day. They worked very quietly and were respectful of my property. I would definitely recommend.

Our new patio. Thanks guys

Vans Landscape to the rescue! Summarizing for those that…read moredon't like to read a lot - My experience with Van and his team were great! Van was clear in communication - we accomplished a lot via text messaging; they were fast in execution and implementation and amazing in clean up. I can easily, and heartily, recommend and refer Vans Landscape (vanslandscape.org)! About my tag line - I'm not exaggerating when I lead with 'to the rescue', let me provide some details for context ... I'd previously hired a different landscaping service to do some fairly major change, cleanup and renovation work for my small space. In the end, that other landscaper's description of the work, including rendered images of what the finished product was to look like - did NOT match the result. Enter the home owner's association ... where they reminded me that what they approved and what they saw - wasn't the same. Yeah - it was so bad that multiple neighbors and the HOA 'expressed concern'. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed, discouraged, disappointed. I'd just moved into my space a couple of months ago, all the hope and optimism that comes from moving into a new space, being a new home owner and looking to fit into the community. Yikes! How much would a correction cost me? Could I trust another landscaping service? How long would it take? How much would I be fined by the HOA? I took a couple of days to organize my thoughts, and began the search for another landscaping service and came across Vans Landscape. Van scheduled a time to visit my space. He patiently listened to my situation while we walked my small property. He kindly and respectfully offered some alternative suggestions. I had been so distracted by my disappointment and frustration with the situation, that Van's suggestions 'cut through' - they are much better looking and functioning solutions. Thank you, Van - I am grateful! In the end, I'm proud of how things now look. My small rock front yard has a clean, low and gradual, retaining wall that goes up the street, an extended retaining wall along a shared property line and some new arborvitae for privacy in my back patio - resolving concerns and issues for the front and giving me some privacy on my back patio! My neighbors have remarked that 'It (the retaining wall) is beautiful', 'Looks so much better', and 'Should we add them to the list for the HOA?' (Yes!) It may sound silly, but I did feel 'rescued' - someone helped me when I genuinely needed it; resolving my real issues, improving curb appeal, and resolving my neighbors and HOA concerns. My future plans include Van's ... When I'm done, and with HOA approval, I'll be asking Van to give me an estimate on my ideas. Again, my experience with Van and his team were great. I easily recommend and refer Vans Landscape (vanslandscape.org)** for your next project or for landscape maintenance as their attention and commitment to detail was made clear. **Yeah - I listed the site as there's a few Van's Landscape sites out there; I want you to have the one I used.

Their quote was fair and competitive -- ultimately I decided to move forward with someone who came directly recommended by a friend, but Van's pricing was absolutely in line with the market and within about $100 of my lowest quote out of five different providers I interviewed. The scope included a full spring cleanup of a heavily overgrown yard, including mowing, pruning, weeding, pressure washing, bark installation, and repairing a distressed gravel pathway. Their pricing was very much on par with the other companies I met - for that large service, as well as ongoing bi-weekly yard care. They were on time, responsive via text when confirming the verbal quote and providing additional pricing details, and overall very kind, transparent, and fair throughout the process. Even though I went a different direction for this particular project, I would absolutely feel comfortable recommending them in the future. The experience was easy, professional, and very competitively priced.

What struck me with many other quotes was the obstinacy of many businesses insisting on digging trenches, which was utterly insane given the topography of our plot which was very, very steep! The only possibility was to consider well-placed drip lines over the slopes and directly into the potted sections of the patio and deck. We already had a funky drip line system installed by the previous owner that was hideous, impractical and ugly. Enter Sound Irrigation:) Mike was kind, attentive and listened. He was the only one to make a considerate plan that suited our property and garden needs. His plan was clear, logical and wonderful. Aly is a very competent and kind office manager, so communication and scheduling is a breeze. I love the Rachio wi-fi smart control system. From my iPad or phone it is so easy to adjust the watering system to a number of sections depending on the weather changes. We had to disconnect two areas for a few seasons due to renovations. When Mike returned recently for a start-up, he took note of the change and made a point to improve that section's installation. Justin and Aldo were able to come out within a few hours and re-hook up that area as they had the required equipment on hand. We are so happy to support this local business. Kindness goes a long way. We have dealt with the same hard workers over the years who are content and reliable. And they are just sweet people to work with. Now that's a sign!

They arrived right on time, got straight to work, and completed everything efficiently and professionally. I received quotes from three different landscaping companies, and Saltos was by far the most responsive and reasonably priced. Their communication was excellent throughout the process, and the quality of their work was top-notch. I highly recommend Saltos Landscaping to anyone looking for reliable, professional landscaping services.

He rather leave the job site early and can't be trusted to complete other tasks correctly. This has been ongoing for a very long time. Saltos was asked to hand prune our Rhododendrons to about 5 ft. Come to find out this is what they ended up doing as shown in the photos, hence the one star review. I reported this to the owner Jesus. Instead of receiving an apology, Jesus opted to discontinue services. Good riddance and a blessing! I ended up hiring a much better self-motivated and energetic landscapers who do not require supervision. They're fast, efficient, and work together do make sure the property looks good before they leave. I am so much happier. This is the way landscapers should be. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Saltos used to do a decent job, but the last years the quantity of work they do has dropped. I'm supposed to be getting two hours of service with a two man crew. Lately, I've only been getting two hours only when I'm home to give Oscar further instructions and to supervise. They consistently take off after mowing, edging, blowing and doing cleanup, which only takes about an hour of time. Most of the time they do a decent job cleaning. On occasion they would simply skip areas. Our property is not huge. The same crew has been maintaining our property since the start. They need to take more of an initiative to maintain our bushes and rhododendrons not using a hedge trimmer.

Here are the key issues that surfaced during my project: Quality of Work - The cleanup and restoration work did not meet the promised standards. Despite assurances of thoroughness, some bed areas were left uncleared, with debris and weeds remaining. Additionally, items like edging and pruning that were included in the scope of services were not performed at all. Beyond the dethatching, the lawn restoration work yielded a lackluster result. Customer Communication - Written communications with GoGreen were very frustrating. After pointing out the issues that I had with the work performed, GoGreen accused me of overwatering the new seed, planning to never pay in full, and finally of having unrealistic expectations. The issue was exacerbated after I partially paid the invoice for the cleanup work while waiting for improvements in the new lawn. After receiving some angry, defensive responses, I informed GoGreen they were no longer welcome at my home. I attempted to settle the balance by offering to pay for materials and dethatching since I now need to fix the issues myself or hire another company. I then received another email threatening me with a lien on my property if I didn't pay in full. This response felt heavy-handed and added unnecessary stress to an already frustrating experience. Despite my obvious displeasure with the outcome, I paid the outstanding balance in full. Conclusion - I'm sure after reading this review, GoGreen will write a response blaming me for the outcome. Nothing GoGreen responds with will take away the fact that I wrote this review because GoGreen failed to deliver what was promised in the original scope of work. So, if you have unlimited financial resources and have extremely low expectations regarding the outcomes of your home projects, then GoGreen might be for you. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere for landscaping services.
