Some even directly turned us down. Ariel and Laura produced a promising plan and a quote which we were happy with. We transformed a steep barren slope into flowerbeds with smart irrigation. They brought a brochure and samples so that we can select the materials that we like. During the job The crew came on time everyday. They carried their own mobile toilet so that they didn't need to borrow ours. Laura was very responsive on phone and text. They come regularly every a few days, but consulted us when there were decisions to make. We asked for additional paving during the job. They managed to incorporate that in the schedule. I could not communicate with the workers directly due to language. I didn't find that a problem. They leveled everything, which my previous landscaper never did! After the job They power washed everything and laid grass and seeds for the turf impacted by the job. Their job comes with a 10-year warranty. Laura said the warranty came with the materials and they find no reason not to pass to the customers. I really appreciate that but I haven't used it yet. We decide to work with them again for another project once I have the money.

They sent unskilled labor to our house who began tearing up our yard in a rather random manner. One of their labourers insisted on parking his dilapidated truck in our driveway that was leaking oil everywhere. I confronted him and he apologized, but parked in the exact same spot the next day and leaked more oil. He was too lazy to walk up the driveway. They run an amateur operation. Ariel runs the construction operation and Laura translates as he speaks little to no English making communication difficult. He rarely visited the site as they (admittedly) are overbooked and can't handle the work that they have taken on. The final straw was when I came home to a guy digging a crooked trench through our existing landscaping where we wanted a retaining wall (it wasn't even straight, he was killing plants we wanted to keep, and it was in a random location). There were no measurements, plumb lines, or any delineation markers. The guy was just swinging a pick axe. I called a planning meeting and Laura came over with a drawing she had oddly plastized with no dimensions on it that looked like a child drew it. Yes, it was in crayon! We asked for a refund and they refused. Our yard is destroyed and for that we had the privilege of being taken for our $9200.00 deposit. BEWARE!

Instead of showing up as scheduled, I often had to contact them to remind them to come. Eventually, they simply stopped showing up altogether. Even more frustrating, they stopped responding to phone calls and text messages. There was no communication or explanation, making it impossible to know whether they intended to continue servicing my property. To make up for their lack of responsiveness, they offered to power wash my property as a goodwill gesture. Unfortunately, they never followed through on that promise either. Reliability and communication are essential when hiring a landscaping company. In my experience, Imperial Gardens failed on both counts.

Work performed by DLM - built a beautiful retaining wall and two stairways. This was done after bringing in 40 cubic yards of soil, leveling out a slope, and removing two large tree stumps. They also removed an old cement patio and replaced it with pavers of my choice. They installed multiple French drains within a few days and so far so good re improved drainage! Next fall and winter will be the real test but so far so good. We also had them do our landscape trimming/pruning, and appreciated the suggestions to do certain trimming in the fall. Then we had them replace multiple wooden gates. DLM provided bids in each case that were very reasonable and significantly less than others. We are very happy with the services provided by DLM and will use them in the future.

They came out that day, gave me an extremely reasonable bid. I said yes. They came out the next morning and within a couple hours, I couldn't believe my yard! Just look at the photos!
