I had Gerardo and crew do a small turf job at my house in an area that gets zero sunlight and was, essentially, a mud pit. They were the first to respond, came out the next day for a quote, and as soon as the weather was warm enough they came out and completed the job in two days. This review is WAY overdue, but better late than never! I contacted Gerardo a couple months ago to have my outdoor area cleaned up and landscaped. Working with Gerardo was super quick and easy! He stopped by to provide me with a quote the next day and also gave me an estimate for how much some other landscaping projects might cost. I was able to set up a service within the week that I first made contact and was beyond pleased with the professionalism that Gerardo has. On the scheduled day Gerardo came with a another one of his crew and they made very quick and efficient work of my outdoor area. My little yard and outdoor space had been overgrown and overrun with weeds and once the guys were done it looked ever better than when I first bought my house! They spent about 3-4 hours clearing everything up and laying down a new layer of gravel and wood chippings. I wish I had taken before and after pictures but needless to say I cannot recommend Gerardo and his crew enough! Super fast to respond, reasonably priced for the work, and very great work quality!! read more

Gerardo did great job. He responded on time and gave us a reasonable estimate . Our front and back yard grass was all dead, so he put Washington sod for us. We purchased a vacant lot on a steep hillside that had significant overgrowth including a ton of blackberry bushes. City landscaping was able to remove all the dead and dying brush and trim back all of the foliage so we can actually walk through the space now. This was a large project but their team was able to start quickly and finished the job over three days. We are very pleased with the result, it looks like a whole new property! read more

Gerardo (the owner) responded to my initial request very quickly and pretty much answered every text message that I sent to him thereafter (probably close to 100). He was able to swing by for a quote on the same day, and within 3 days, I had a new doggy lawn which was beautifully done! His partner Carlos came out with him to help and he was such a nice guy. Gerardo showed up on the days/times that he said he would and seems to be extremely reliable. I don't know how Gerardo does it, but he is able to answer all texts and calls with the consideration and promptness that most other contractors won't do for their customers. His estimate was extremely reasonable and the work he did was of the highest quality. It's great to know that you can hire somebody to do the work and have confidence that they will deliver as promised. I would recommend City Landscaping 1000 times over! Wow. I am at a loss for words. This is my FIRST ever yelp review (I'm Stella's husband). If you feel like working a part time job trying to get a landscaper to return your calls and show up on time, Gerardo IS your guy. After first contacting Gerardo, I spent the next two weeks reminding him about our appointments, receiving no responses for days and reminding again. He cancels our first appointment on a Saturday, then shows up later that day (what?) to do an estimate. We agree the work will be done Sunday. On Sunday, he cancels because of truck problems. Innocent right? Except he sends a picture of a fully severed brake line I was able to find on Google. The best part though.... he miraculously fixes it by Monday morning! I blew my entire weekend trying to get this guy to just come do an freaking estimate and he lies about his reason for cancelling on me. I grit my teeth and press on and ask him when he can reschedule. No response for two days. Finally, today, I get hold of him again and suggest 3 different ways we can handle scheduling. He turns them all down - can't take checks, can't take payment by mail, can't take payment left at the home the next day. At no point in our interaction does he seem to care or be interested in helping ME solve the problem together, even though he CREATED the problem to begin with. Good luck folks. Fantastic service! I have a corner lot with a lot of over growth in West Seattle. His team was able to pull out a ton of ivy, grass, weeds, trim trees, prune back a large swath of laurel, and re-sanded/fluffed up my artificial lawn. We were out of town when they did all this, and when we got back I could see all my tiered rockery again. My tween kids didn't even know we had nice landscaping under it all because they'd never seen it.
