My situation was difficult as i had swelling in my calves and feet that made a "fit" darn near impossible! Sal just saved us. Men's Warehouse dropped all of our suits for our wedding in October (without telling us) and we were left with nothing. We called Sal the next day based on a friend's recommendation and he was swift to accommodate us. We had our initial meeting and selection session today and I couldn't have been happier. He made color suggestions..pulled out swatches...and his suit rentals were so much less than a Men's Warehouse package. We filled out all the names for the men and we are planning a full day of measurements and fittings. He also offered to pick the suits up from the hotel complimentary instead of us having to go return them. When we walked in we were happy to see the variety and he assured us that the 3,000 sq foot warehouse where they are held has even more. We are so thankful for this experience. Personally, I would not come back to this shop. The owner was a little rude and very much arrogant. Let me know how he owned 5 stores and I didn't know anything when it came to suits, although my background would tell you otherwise. He told me I wouldn't be able to find what I wanted & that "I'll be back" LOL Ended up getting MUCH better service at JT Ghamo 20 minutes north and got a custom suit for my friends wedding & got exactly what I wanted for a little more money. Honestly service goes a long way and although I kept my composure I 100% would not recommend anyone I know to go there. Since there's 5 stores I'm sure my business and those that I know of won't make a dent even though I handle wedding parties on daily basis but what do I know right? read more

Came here for a wedding suit for a beach wedding. Was looking for very particular fabric and color. Sal helped me out and everything went perfect. On time and got multiple sizes just in case. Definitely recommend them!! read more

I'm typically all about supporting a local, family owned business but Modern Formal is a definite exception. Even though the guys were "fitted" two months before the wedding, they all looked like they were wearing their fathers' suits when they tried on their rentals two days before the wedding. They were given tuxedo pants even though suit pants were requested. To make matters worse, the tux pants didn't match the color of the suit jacket. The "white" dress shirts were yellowed and should be thrown out. Sal did his best to accommodate but it wasn't perfect and this was completely avoidable. There's no reason a wedding party should have to scramble to look good. read more

What an easy and great experience! Sal nailed it from a picture of my son's date's dress. Made suggestions which ended up being really great. We were offered three different days to pick up, which was super convenient. Rental was great when we picked it up. The price was less than what others we know paid, so that was a bonus. I came to Sal looking for a blue tuxedo for my wedding, and he was very professional and kind from the moment we first shook hands. When he didn't have the color that I wanted, I shopped around at other local stores. I had some really bad experiences with pushy service and bad attitudes at the other stores. I came back to Sal since he made the best first impression on me. We ultimately decided to go down the path of buying suits. I showed Sal another jacket with the color that I wanted, and he was able to order a sample suit from a catalog in the EXACT color I needed. He totally nailed my color and my size. The price he quoted me was great as well. My groomsmen came in and got fitted, and all but one of them fit. For that groomsman, Sal said he had a feeling that it might be small, so he ordered two jackets. He had the next size up on standby, which fit great! It's like he was some kind of oracle. Sal was even able to get my Best Man's suit tailored the day before the wedding in less than 30 minutes. He also didn't make us pay a dime until our final fitting when we were 100% happy with our suits. He was the easiest person that I worked with in the year leading up to my wedding. Only negative was that my rental shirt had a few significant stains on the chest and the wrist. My groomsmen had no issues. read more

The owner is a nice guy. Family owned place. Unfortunately, my rental tux wasn't great. My pants were too big and my shirt was dirty and smelled like someone else's cologne. I couldn't wear the shirt and had to rush around to find one to wear. I figured it could be a coincidence, but my friends rental was the same. He couldn't wear his pants or the shirt he received. read more
