It was honestly all there and what's more, it was actually affordable! After one too many 'walk in, check the tag and walk out' boutique experiences, I was sooo happy to see I could actually afford to buy the things I liked. Oh! I waited until they were open but no one was there so I decided to walk around and come back a little later. Upon entering I was not greeted. Not a big deal though because I can be pretty shy and wanted to browse around. I soon felt uncomfortable; like I wasn't welcome but I brushed it off. It's a feeling POC unfortunately often feel when they're shopping in unfamiliar areas or shops. I wanted to give the woman at the register the benefit of the doubt. I found a cool harmonica that I wanted to gift my boyfriend but was being indecisive about what else to get I remembered the bras! I went to check them out and then I stumbled upon the sale section and that's when the woman at the register basically ran up on me. She said to let her know if I needed help with anything. It was completely bizarre because it was clear she came over just to see what I was doing. There were a few other people in there and she passed by them and didn't ask them if they needed anything. It was so clear in my mind that she thought I was trying to steal that dumb ass harmonica or anything from that janky store. The bras were overpriced, the clothes were honestly hideous and not for anyone under the age of 40. The toys and books were ok but nothing really jumped out at me. Except this woman. It was a very uncomfortable experience and when I went to pay for the items (yes I got the damn harmonicas) she gave me full on attitude. No smile, very condescending "you're welcome" after I thanked her. Just all around bad attitude as if she was the one being followed. I would beware if you are a POC. I didn't get the woman's name but she was probably a SWF, pudgy and had dark hair.

The second I walked into this store I was greeted with a very offensive remark by the employee…read moreworking front desk. There was no other staff in the store that im aware of until an older women i'm assuming to be her mother came in and immediately defended the girl after for making the comment towards me. Her response was that the girl was 12 years old and did not mean to offend me. From what I am aware of it is against child labor laws to have a minor without working papers working as a front desk assistant. Keep in mind that when I had come in there was no adult or other employee In the store. Therefore the store was being handled by a 12 year old girl without adult supervision. The comment this girl made would be considered discrimination and the situation would also be against child labor laws. This store is poorly run and the owners are clearly unaware of the state laws of employment. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!
