Our second visit, they're still here. Beacon businesses change weekly! Boutique: Women's clothes, candles, lotions, and potions.

Dont judge me, I love a little dinge. I'm excited about the combination of vintage and modern finds, Yes you have to keep an open mind to look through things but you will DEF leave with some amazing pieces I really like this store because its who I am eclectic and unique. You will definitely find good stuff but you gotta dig. From my observation, if you find a designer piece the style usually is out-of-date but once in awhile you will find designer with brand new tags on. I'm giving it a 5 stars because the store is organized and managed by their staff. I also like how they have many fitting rooms so the wait is never too long. It is definitely one of the better vintage stores in terms of pricing/quality of items in the Main street beacon area.

Bought a beautiful organic cotton, wool, and alpaca hoodie for travel to Japan in October! Also found cotton /wool blend socks for the same upcoming trip! Woo hoo! Scored! There was also a long line for ??? So we queued up to see why... By the time we got to the front of the line, the display cases were mostly empty of baked goods (it was a bakery kiosk!) but we shared one (1) chocolate pretzel croissant. Didn't look impressive, but looks can be deceiving! Wow! What a delicious, flavorful chocolate croissant, crispy on the outside and an explosion of chocolate in the moist interior! We should have bought more! Overall a great flea/farmers' market! Try it!

There are stacks of 33.3 rpm vinyl records; maybe you'll find something. It's ironic that most people got rid of them when it was almost impossible to find phonograph needles several decades ago. This is a smaller thrift store that definitely tries to have a good selection of stuff to go…read morethrough and can be a pleasure to browse. Just don't expect anything on the scale of a Salvation Army or Savers where you can go crazy. That said, I stopped in recently and found a nice paisley shirt and an old suitcase. Unfortunately however, the paisley shirt was way too small and will never fit me and my girlfriend said she would move out if I brought home another ratty old suitcase. I ended up buying the paisley shirt anyway but decided to leave the suitcase behind. It was a big brown Samsonite, and I wanted it. But it wasn't the hill to die on. Either way, I will continue to check in from time to time as this place could definitely yield an excellent thrift store haul if you hit it on the right day.

Today, I dropped off a small donation, and decided to look around as usual. There were two people outside the store looking over two bins of books, really nice ones, some classics. We had a nice discussion about authors, books we've read. One customer was helping another, and suggested to one employee that she could price them per box. So she stated that they go for a dollar ea. Okay, but then she changed her mind and offered $10 for two big bins instead. Ok, so the other customer said she was glad to donate them & take the $10. She didn't want to throw them out. Another customer began picking out rejected books from the garbage bin. The employee was really annoyed and stated that we are not allowed to take things out of the garbage bin. Really???? So you're going to fill up the landfill with things that could be reused. I entered the store, and this employee was arguing very loudly with the one customer who was helping the other one. The customer did not raise a voice - the rest of us looked at each other, it was embarrassing. That employee should have handled it better. Calmly repeat your store policy, or say that you cannot accept a donation for whatever reason, nicely, politely. That you take in donations and price them for sale. She was so unpleasant, I felt sorry for the customer and the rest of us. Perhaps your little store is too crowded? Think of donating books to a Veterans organization. Be polite! There is no reason to be nasty just because you are feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, perhaps not enough help in the shop. It was very uncomfortable, so I walked out.
