Finally, Dr. Samels had a great bedside manner and gave me the most thorough and informative eye exam I've ever had. In all the years and all the eye doctors I've seen, I never knew what I'd been missing until I met Dr. Samels. He patiently explained why I now need reading glasses (even though I've had Lasix), had great tips for keeping my eyes in good shape, and let me know what I can expect as I age. Six months later, I get a $145 bill because apparently they don't take United Healthcare Vision... just the medical side. That was never explained to me, and they still took my insurance info and scheduled me like it was all covered. When I called to talk about it, the person on the phone literally said it's not their responsibility to know what people's plans cover. That just blew my mind. They took zero accountability and made it seem like it was all on me, even though I did everything I could to check in advance. It just feels really dishonest, and I'm super frustrated that I had to pay for something I was told was covered. Definitely not going back.

The prices are very high compared to anything you can find online. Thankfully your Rx is available online so honestly just leave. Insurance is not handled well at all. I've been reassured by my Hr and by my insurance company of coverages but they cannot seem to bill it correctly. On the statements and my profile they don't even list my insurance by the same name....

Went here for an eye exam and supposed to get new glasses... they didn't have an in person doctor…read moreso they said they were gonna do an "online exam" with these different machines. The woman who was helping me had no idea how to work any of the machines because she was new (which I understand), so she tried to get her manager to help us. Manager also had no clue how to work any machines and would leave after 5 minutes just leading to another issue. An hour later they think they're finished with the first exams and I'm brought to a second room where I'm told we're talking to a real doctor. Technology doesn't cooperate and the woman leaves the room for the 5th time to get her manager. After 5 minutes of her and her coworkers making an excuse as to why they can't figure out their own software, they tell me something is wrong with my eyes and I should've booked an appointment with a real doctor. Is that not what I was here for? I was under the impression that an eye doctor would be there to conduct the exam, as I'm at the eye doctor. They tell me I have to leave and re schedule, so I leave after 2 wasted hours with no prescription or glasses. Won't be rescheduling at this location. Not saying it's anyone's fault in particular but need to work on training and have someone there who knows how to work the machines.
