I moved here from out of state in July 2019, and my previous ophthalmologist suggested that I try Northeast Wisconsin Retina Associates to establish care since he knew a doctor there from when he did his fellowship in Milwaukee several years ago. I had a partially detached surgery that didn't go well in 2015. I've had three surgeries to get my right eye to a stable place, and hopefully keep it viable for retina rejuvenation in the future. My right eye also has oil in it to help with the pressure. It has been definitely through quite a bit. There is a lot going on in research around the world and even at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. My right eye has an issue with low pressure. I am fully aware that my eye may not be a great candidate for retina rejuvenation, and at some point may need to go to a prosthetic eye. It is also very important to me to keep my left eye healthy so that I don't lose my vision in it. It has been laser tacked in two spots to help prevent retinal tears. If you are very near sighted, your eye grows larger than most peoples eyes and causes your retina to stretch with it as it grows causing it to be on the thinner side. From the beginning Dr. Ernst treated me as a nuisance, not wanting to talk about anything and acting as though he was obliging me with my three visits. He contradicted himself on how he would care for low pressure in an eye. He was very cold, distant and not helpful at all. When it came to my fourth appointment, I asked to be transferred to Dr. Buddi. They told me that the two doctors would have to agree to that, and they did. Dr. Buddi was the doctor that my previous ophthalmologist knew. Dr. Buddi entered the room looked at my eye, and told me that I would need to establish my eye care elsewhere, and to only come back to them if something happened to my left eye. He then referred me to Dr. Matt Thompson at Tower Clock because maybe my low eye pressure was due to band keratopathy. Neither Dr. Ernst or Dr. Buddi wanted to discuss any eye care plan for my eye in any way or format. They said that they didn't see retina rejuvenation for me, but gave no explanation. The tech who was supposed to take images of the inside of my eyes also was not very skilled in using the equipment. I explained the best angle to get an image. The tech even documented in her notes that it was my left eye that had no vision and not the right. Was she paying attention? Did details mean anything to her? I saw Dr. Matt Thompson at Tower Clock last week, and he came into the room with the same demeanor as Dr. Ernst and Dr. Buddi at Northeast Wisconsin Retina Associates. His tech was very thorough prior to Dr. Thompson coming into the room. As of this time I don't seem to have band keratopthy as suggested, or at least not enough to treat. Without any adieu Dr. Thompson went straight to he didn't see my right eye as a candidate for retina rejuvenation, and as he tells me this he says, "Who knows what medicine and technology hold in FIFTY years." He asked me what I wanted from him, and I said that I had come there to establish care for my eyes. He threw his hands in the air and said, "Fine, you have established care for your eyes" begrudgingly. It is quite obvious to me that these three doctors are a part of the good old boys club and are covering each others backs for whatever reason. They are all very, too comfortable providing mediocre care and living their comfortable lives. They act as though they live and practice medicine in some kind of black hole that never or barely moves forward. Not at any time was I rude, aggressive, demanding or anything else. I came here hoping to establish vitroretinal care for my eyes, and am being treated like I am a crazy person. My right eye is a soft spot for me, and can make me feel vulnerable at times. I came from an area that cutting edge medicine and technology was abundant. I know that doesn't happen everywhere, but I didn't expect to be immediately blown off and treated so rudely by three doctors at two practices. Again, I'm aware that my eye may not be a candidate for retina rejuvenation, and that a prosthetic eye may be in my future, but there wasn't even a conversation allowed to discuss the transitioning to the process. I am realistic. This is only proof that you need to be your own advocate for any kind of health care. I will finish with I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND NORTHEAST WISCONSIN RETINA ASSOCIATES WITH DR. ERNST OR DR. BUDDI, NOR TOWER CLOCK WITH DR. THOMPSON. You deserve much better care than they are willing to provide. I will NOT be going back to any of them. I will continue my search for decent vitroretinal care. read more

I went to Tower Clock for an eye exam based on positive reviews and word-of-mouth. I got to the clinic a little early and was promptly greeted by one of the ladies at the front desk. She was really friendly, so much so that it made my day. This was my first time seeing any of the doctors there and didn't know what to expect. I waited a little while, as you will at any office these days, and then was brought back in a reasonable time. I have sensitive eyes and made this known to the optometrist I saw. She took her time with me, which I certainly appreciated. After a battery of tests she told me my eyes were healthy and gave me some tips on how best to avoid issues (I work in front of a computer most days). She was professional, knew her stuff and I highly recommend her to anyone. She suggested some contacts and gave me some samples. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend Tower Clock to anyone. read more

I was evaluated by three different doctors for cataract surgery and certainly liked Dr Tyson the best. Everything was explained well as they are doing it. I am an RN and have worked in surgery so I have a good grasp on quality patient care. This clinic and surgery center is excellent! I am grateful for their quality care. read more
