Came here after seeing that they have great reviews and we were not let down. We were surprised that they did not have much business shortly after opening. Service is friendly, informative, and quick. Since it was our first time, we ordered our standard measure for a pizza restaurant, the clam & garlic and the PMS (pepperoni, mushroom, & sausage). We also ordered some sweet chili wings and the onion rings since they are battered and not breaded. Everything was seasoned well and delicious, but we were most impressed by the pizza. The crust is more of a flat bread style, but is crispy enough to have no flop. The cheese and toppings go all the way to the edge which is nice with the style of crust. The flavors were perfect, just enough garlic and seafood flavor and the sausage and tomato sauce is some of the best I've had. Will definitely be back. read more

Had such high hopes for this place, taking the place of the Round Table that used to be here, especially since it's literal steps from my house and woulda been a convenient option. The toppings are awesome, especially if you're discerning and choose well, e.g. the sausage was a bit too gamey for me. Though there veggies were fire. The problem is the crust--brittle, almost as if it's gluten free or cauliflower based, which it's definitely not. The result is you end up with a hardened super crispy, brittle base. If you like that, then you'll be happy here. If you, like me, want a more forgiving crust, thin but not shatter like, and not Sicilian or Chicago deep dish, then this is neither of those and not is it Neapolitan. It's not either, not fitting in either category. I didn't eat it because I couldn't get past the crust. They have two basic sizes, and the prices are on par, reasonable, with all the other pizza places. The service is awesome, super friendly and on the ball. In fact, two of the guys we recognized from the Round Table days, so I guess they kept some of the employees, despite changing the ownership. If they heed this feedback and change the crust, they'll have a winner on their hands. Parking can be easy, especially if you go on an off time/day. read more

I normally don't eat pizza, but friends were meeting there, so I had one with pineapple and sausage, and one with mushrooms, they were so good, especially a little crispy crust not too thick nor thin, that gave me enough chew! Honestly, it tastes like a round table pizza; went in to order their 14" veggie delight pizza and not more than 10 minutes passed and they said our order was ready for pickup.....( thought it was a little fast). He handed me the pizza and it was lukewarm, like it had been sitting there for a while. It definitely was not hot out of the oven! When we got home, I noticed that the order # scribbled on the side of the box had been marked "13" and it had been scratched out and our order # 20 was added on. This tells me that someone didn't pick up their order so they decided to give it to me. I didn't pay $33 for a pizza that had been sitting there for a while. We came in to get a freshly made pizza. Amazing thin crust pizza and original wings. Wings meaty and cooked to perfection. The pizza I had was a pesto, garlic, yellow onion, and bell pepper. Slightly well done. Tremendous! Great pizzas with thin crust, balanced red sauce, just the right amount of cheese. Had a small margarita with arugula and a mushroom pepperoni with pesto sauce, both were great. Also had the caesar salad which was just the way I like it, small for pieces of romaine fully tossed in a mild but tasty caesar dressing and croutons. We were in the neighborhood for the Lunar New Year festival and came in to try out their pizza. The service & food was absolutely amazing! Hubby and I just got back from out of country trip. We stayed close before heading home. He was craving wings. So we tried this place even with not a lot of reviews. Associates were very friendly. ambiance was very clean and had lots of tv's so hubby was pleased. Seems like they haven't been open very long. We ordered two small personal pizzas, and the wings. Fantastic food and great service. This was our first time there - Modern Eats took over the old Round Table space on Broadway in Millbrae. I have to say, this was an outstanding experience. I had the ricotta calzone and my friend had the veggie pesto pizza and we shared both. I'm normally not a fan of "veggie" pizza, but this was phenomenal. The flavors melded together perfectly. The calzone was great too, and both, even though we each ordered the personal sizes, were big enough for two people, and then some. We took some home to go. They also had salads and appetizers, which we didn't try this time around. The wine was inexpensive, but quality, and a good pour! The service was outstanding. Very friendly and efficient staff. We will absolutely go back there in the next couple of weeks. Can't wait for the Beats, Brews and Vines - we'll be ordering from Modern Eats and taking our orders "to go".
