What I understood to be "several days later," my uncle called to tell me what happened, saying that he thinks he was scammed and the scooter was stolen and he was getting ready to call the police. He said he had called many times and left several messages but no one responded. I'll be honest, he made a convincing case and I was starting to think he was a victim. What I didn't realize was that Jacob picked the scooter up on Friday morning and this was Monday (they are closed on weekends). I was able to get ahold of Jacob and let him know that if the police show up don't be alarmed. He was understanding and explained that he has a family and tries not to work on the weekends so didn't know my uncle had been calling. He also sent me multiple photos of the scooter that had been dismantled and in the process of repair.
