My husband and I needed to install grab bars and handrails in our home following his month-long hospitalization for a serious illness. When I contacted Call Before You Fall, Magda Iacob came to our home on short notice for a free evaluation. Magda was very knowledgeable and helpful. She spent a significant amount of time going over what we wanted to do and making suggestions. She also came when the grab bars were installed and called after the handrails were installed, to ensure that everything was completed to our satisfaction. I had also checked out another company, but they would have taken five weeks to deliver and required full payment when the equipment was ordered. CBYF took 48 hours for grab bars, 7-10 days for handrails. CBYF also gave us a 10% discount for paying by check at the time of installation. Also, their crew was great. They arrived on time, worked constantly, were polite and considerate, and cleaned up thoroughly when they were finished. We hired this company to upgrade our commercial doors so elderly patients could easily enter building. The system never worked properly. They came out a few times to try to repair, but then turfed the blame to the commercial doors. After a 10 K expense and going back and forth with their installers, we finally gave up and spent another 10K to have the system put in by a different company. this company is not ethical. i've had to call them for my stair lift eight times because one of the chairs wasn't working. (after i spent almost $17,000 getting it installed.) this last time both my caregiver and i tried the chair and it did not work. then my caregiver unplugged the unit and plugged it back in, which is what she saw the last person who came out do, and it still didn't work. when they came out today and tried it, it suddenly worked. my labor warranty expires in march and my parts warranty expires in march of next year. now they want to charge me $350 for their visit today. they claim this is the 5th time that there hasn't been anything wrong with the unit. they never told me that there was nothing wrong when they came out previously and they didn't warn me that it would cost me $350.00 today if there was nothing wrong today. they say that it wouldn't have cost me anything if there was actually something wrong with the unit. there was yesterday. the damn chair stopped working. these are the most unprofessional bunch of shysters i've ever dealt with in my entire life. i don't recommend them. do yourself a favor and use someone who knows what the hell they're doing. these people don't. the next time one of my chairs doesn't work i'm going to call another contractor and see if they can fix this mess. read more

Although the name of this business says it all I had never heard of them and am grateful that they were highly recommended to my family by the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs as one of govts. approved mobility and safety contractors. Jose was terrific always arriving not only one time but early. He would call from his cellphone prior to his arrival announcing his approximate arrival time and then called again once he arrived. Jose is a very prompt, efficient and a terrific person to work with as he has a very pleasant demeanor. His installation was wonderful! This business is very unprofessional, Needed to have doors "reserviced" repeatedly with no actual solution. When they could not find a solution to the problem they resort to becoming defensive of their abilities and blaming the doors for being "defective". After calling this company multiple time to "Fix" the problem, I had a different company come out and adjust their own equipment. The doors work great, they just dont know how to install them. I had given very clear directions to Magda on the phone yesterday to have someone come and give me a quote. This morning, I get a panicked phone call from Magda who I didn't know was coming, I thought it would be the contractor. This lady was speaking rapidly and was totally confused and acting completely stressed out. She couldn't find my place she said. I tried repeatedly to get her to calm down and thought this was very odd behavior since the directions were very clear. She kept interrupting me, talking over me, and being over the top crazy acting as well as completely unprofessional. I asked pointed questions as to where she was and she had no clue. The area I am in is very easy to find, especially with her having two cross streets and this is a dead-end road. My thought was if she can't find a place with clear directions she surely can't measure and give quotes on a contractor job. Upon repeatedly interrupting me and not cooperating she said she was canceling the job, which honestly was fine. I called the office to speak the manager, and spoke to Alex, who did not identify himself as the manager, when I explained I needed to speak to a manager, he said some very unprofessional words and hung up. I called a second time and got him again, still not knowing he was the manager, and he hung up on me again. I called a third time and got a very nice man who sent me to the managers line, turns out it was a voice mail for Alex. This is the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered. I do not recommend them. Very badly handled and poor communication. Do yourself a favor, get a real contractor who knows what they are doing. These people are not going to do a good job. Their Branch Manager, Don, came out to give us an assessment and quote. We had both that evening. We made an appointment to visit their Agoura Hills showroom the next day (Friday). After visiting with Don and Alex, we finalized the quote and we left them a deposit. The following Tuesday their team was at our house to install the handrails. Don was with them to explain where everything went. He also measured for the single rail stairlift. The work went very well and the team was ready to go by 2 pm. Work was perfect. Cleanup was as if they were never here. My wife and I are very pleased with everything about this job. The stairlift will be ready in about 5 weeks. We can hardly wait! Alex and I'm not sure but I think his name is Adrian. Great team!! Adrian and his son came and installed this miracle machine in two hours. No muss no fuss and it was solid. Unfortunately my Dad died 4 days later. I had signed the contract no returns but I hated for this machine to go to waste. We donated it to a young man in a wheel chair in my father's name and Alex was willing to come and uninstall it and reinstalled for free. I know my Dad is smiling down from Heaven. We called Alex at Call Before You Fall because my mother-in-law was had developed some mobility issues. Alex came to the house for a consultation, and he listened carefully to our explanation of our situation. Then he outlined many recommendations including ramps, grab bars, hand rails, raised toilet seats, and non stick floor coatings. They really seem to offer a solution for just about every possible challenge. We were able to easily pick and choose the items we wanted, and Alex was not pushy at all about any of it. We also paid a visit to their showroom and were able to clearly see in person all the items we were considering. After placing our order, his installation crew came out in a timely manner and did most of the work in one day.
