Rented a wheelchair for a month for my mom's visit. Lance was super helpful and it was a nice, easy experience. Would recommend.

Almost always had in inventory what we needed to rent. And so close to home. The owner was also very helpful.

These days, it's not often that you find a reliable company that is knowledgeable and trustworthy,…read moreESPECIALLY when dealing with seniors. My 92 year old uncle recently met with Jacob who came to his senior living home to fix his mobility scooter. Jacob couldn't fix it on site so he loaded it onto his truck to take back to his shop. What I understood to be "several days later," my uncle called to tell me what happened, saying that he thinks he was scammed and the scooter was stolen and he was getting ready to call the police. He said he had called many times and left several messages but no one responded. I'll be honest, he made a convincing case and I was starting to think he was a victim. What I didn't realize was that Jacob picked the scooter up on Friday morning and this was Monday (they are closed on weekends). I was able to get ahold of Jacob and let him know that if the police show up don't be alarmed. He was understanding and explained that he has a family and tries not to work on the weekends so didn't know my uncle had been calling. He also sent me multiple photos of the scooter that had been dismantled and in the process of repair. He also said that he located the problem, would compete the repair that day and return it the next. The price was more than fair and the scooter works perfectly now. I highly recommend Valley Mobility if you like working with honest, dedicated, smart and kind people (who are also patient with seniors).

Let me start my review by saying how much I appreciate their great, helpful customer service when…read moreit comes to people's needs. Everyone at this store is super nice, kind, professional and very helpful. They want to make sure that you are in good, safe hands before leaving their super clean, big, nice store. I would have been so surprised if this place got anything but 5 stars. Maybe this review will elevate the last couple of points and make it a solid 5 stars on Yelp. I have been here several years ago because I was looking for a wrist brace and they didn't have it at that time. Got it from somewhere else and that took care of the problem. I was there few days ago and needed a back Foam Bed Wedge and Knee Elevated Wedge that would have a soft cushion, good back support and comfort. Got both the knee wedge, and the back support wedge which makes my knees & back somewhat pain free. Will get used to it eventually. They have so many different varieties of Medical Supplies in their store that your head will start spinning. They have: Recliner Chairs, Scooters, Walkers, Bed pan, Wheelchairs, home healthcare supplies; such as hospital beds all the way to other types of medical supplies/products for all ages, genders; and, also if something needs to be repaired, they will do that for you too. I believe there is a different location for that. Knee Elevator Wedge cost me $28.95 w/out tax and the bed wedge was $39.95 w/out tax. So the prices for both items were not that expensive. Even if they were, your comfort and heath should be your first and the ONLY priority. Thank you owners, employees at Sherman Oaks Medical Supplies. You have been a big help in every way!! No need to look any further. One stop for all your health care needs and it also has ample parking in the back!!

Posted for my father, Curtis B…read more "Let me tell you a belated but timeless story about Thanksgiving. Yes, it's a true one and it's about a man named George who operates Sherman Oaks Medical Equipment Company but in a way few entrepreneurs and proprietors do in America today...My story begins midday this last Thanksgiving, a time most Americans are already on the road greeting or anticipating a special day with their relatives and families. Most had closed up shop, left work early and we're looking forward to a warm and wonderful evening and in all likelihood a turkey dinner with the closest members of their families... and I was no exception. My son had arranged for a special holiday dinner at a renowned Mexican restaurant in Southern California central to everyone. We were to gather in about three hours. That was when I learned from the restaurant they'd be unable to provide a wheelchair for me as head of our family--- having recently left the hospital following surgery and realizing that despite reservations, there was simply no way I was going to survive standing room only traffic in a popular Southern California restaurant on a sunny Thanksgiving holiday afternoon.  I was suddenly at the mercy of the Internet in a sole and insanely tardy effort to track down a wheelchair just to get inside the restaurant! All my hospital connections had either bailed early or had never come in due to the holiday.  Every call went straight to voicemail. It was then I realized as head of our family I might miss out entirely on this year's family celebration. With every local industrial equipment rental outlet closed Thanksgiving Day, I entered my ZIP Code in a global search for a wheelchair provider and called the first number that popped.  After what seemed an impossible number of rings a man named George picked up and I explained my problem--- wondering how many times I'd have to repeat it with others as our family dinner deadline moved ever closer. But George listened thoughtfully then much to my surprise said: "let me drive to our store and see if I have any wheelchairs-- call you back." With Americans countrywide now sitting down to dine with loved ones, I felt seriously I'd never hear from George again... so when he called back 30 minutes later asking for my address while offering to drive the wheelchair to me (since I can't drive) I think I nearly collapsed even though I'd already been in that state for a couple of days. Not only did George arrive as promised with what appeared to be a brand new wheelchair, he declined using my debit card - even refused cash for a security deposit - merely asking me to sign a basic receipt and to let him know when he could pick it up once I was done. What could've become a pathetically sad sort Thanksgiving turned out to be one of the best thanksgiving dinners our family has ever had. Mostly because there I was--- older than ever head of household in his sparkling new wheelchair at the head of a very long table presiding over his family members and friends seated along both sides.  Thank God for men like George! If ever there were a time, an event (more appropriate than Thanksgiving) or a reason for engaging w/a good person possessing a generous heart like George Obdzhanyn... well I don't know of one. George went off I presume to his own special Thanksgiving, but not before I was able to tell him: "George, America needs more men like you." --- and you know what? ...we DO. Meanwhile, I've told my doctors and medical suppliers at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center--- from which I was discharged just this week--- to Direct all my referrals for equipment and services to George's company there in Sherman Oaks on Magnolia Boulevard.  Meanwhile, I'll keep looking for ways. I can return the kindnesses George granted me b/c frankly, he deserves it! Curt B. / Automotive & Aircraft Design
