This place is always a winner!…read more Today I visited on the last day of the Salem Burger Week (so stoked they are doing one of these in Salem!) to sample Lively Station's contribution: the Midnight at Bangkok burger. It had Painted hills beef smashed patties with Spicy Peanut Sauce, Bacon Jam, American Cheese and Pickles on a Potato Bun. This was so delicious! I really enjoy this place!

The minute you walk on you are warmly created. The place is clean and the food smells great. We came with both a gluten and dairy allergy and the staff was incredibly helpful. They were out of a couple of items , but offered ideas of how to help accommodate our needs. We came for drinks, appetizers and dinner. We had mules, margaritas and whiskey sours; all delicious. The pork nachos with their pickled onions and jalapeños were delicious too. The wedge salad and salad bowls are huge. This is the only place I'd order a salad because it looks and tastes amazing. Burgers and fries are fantastic. They have gluten free fries (however I think they're cooked in the same oil as the other fries, just double check) and they're fantastic! The dessert menu has gluten free options too, but we will have to try on our next trip to Oregon.

Turns out they're right next door, tucked back a bit from the roadway so easy to miss you and when you're sober. Glad I noticed it as we were driving off, as it's a great taphouse with a large number of beers on draft, in excess of 20 I believe. Service is very gracious, and you don't have to commit to official tasters, they're willing to pour you a little splash of several beers for you to figure out what it is you'd actually like to taste. That said, we opted to do an official flight of four IPAs, one of which was a hazy. All pretty interesting; ended up ordering a pint of one of them to share. Like a lot of tap rooms, they use the app DigitalPour to list their beers so you can check them out online if you like. We'll probably be back again. We didn't order any food while we were there, but what we smelled, and looked at appeared to be pretty good. If we hadn't had such a large breakfast earlier at our hotel, we probably would've taken a flyer on something off their food menu; maybe next time.

Overall not impressed -very oily which makes the chips not…read morecrunchy at all - wish the chips had more seasoning - the salt and vinegar chips were too much

I love these chips!…read more The company started in 1978 by selling roasted nuts and natural snacks. The chips were born in 1982. What I love are their simple, easy-to-read ingredient list and natural taste. The chips are thicker than most, either natural or krinkle-cut. Some are organic though it's not a selling point for me. They sell for around $3.50 - $4.00 a bag. FLAVOR EXPERIENCE: Sour Cream & Onion Man, these are my all-time favorite as I love sour cream and onion anything! Perfectly seasoned, savory and creamy. My only complaint: The bag is too small! Korean Barbecue I was expecting a teriyaki-like flavor but that wasn't the case. They're a tad sweeter than the barbecue flavors but are far from tasting like the sauce found on Korean ribs. Sea Salt Whenever I'm in the mood for a plain chip, this one does the job well. Salt and oil are the only ingredients! Backyard Barbecue My spouse's favorite. I'll eat them but they're not my favorite. A bit sweet, a little salty with a kiss of smoke. Sea Salt & Vinegar These come in both organic (natural-cut) and non-organic (krinkle-cut). The flavors are bold - very vinegary and salty. New York Cheddar No heavy orange coating here! The cheese flavor is there but it's very mild, so it didn't satisfy my cheese craving. Is a sharp cheddar flavor even possible? Salt & Fresh Ground Pepper The organic version is my favorite as I prefer the natural-cut chips. What I love are the coarse grinds of black pepper that give these chips a strong peppery taste. Oh so good! Again, the bag is too small! Dill Pickle While good, I took a while to finish this bag. By themselves they're tasty, but the robust flavors didn't go well with my sandwich and fresh dill pickle side. I prefer a more subtle seasoning especially when consuming with other foods. Himalayan Salt Costco sells a ginormous bag of these krinkle-cut chips, simply seasoned with salt. I honestly can't tell the difference between sea salt and Himalayan salt, but the latter seems less salty. I usually sprinkle black pepper on it to make it "mine". OVERALL: The best, closest-to-homemade chips on the market!
