Absolutely love Mod pizza. Absolutely nothing to complain about. You can get a customized wood fired pizza and a drink for under 10 bucks for lunch and the pizza tastes absolutely great. The mini sized pizza is less than $5 and does the trick for me but even the Mod sized (which is the standard size) is plenty for one person and costs around $8. They have every topping known to man and you just go down the assembly line telling the cook what to throw on there. I always get bacon, ham, and green pepper. Sometimes if I'm feeling extra frisky I'll put black olives on there too. From there the guy throws it in the wood fired oven, you go down and pay and get your drink, and five minutes later the pizza comes out hot, fresh and ready to devour. Love this place. read more

I like to add a lot of toppings because it's unlimited and I like to get my money's worth. I loaded it with lots of meat and veggies and it came out decent. I think the white sauce could have had more flavor though. The mini pizza totaled to approximately $7 so I was pretty content with that. There was a Happy Hour event happening at the Armory and my bf and I decided to make a pit stop here prior to check it out. The customer service there was awesome. It was our first time there and the lady helped us out big time. We got the caspian pizza with spinach and it was pretty cool to see how they make the pizza. Their oven is massive and there was about 8-10 pizza's there being made. When we got our order, I could smell the awesome scent of BBQ sauce and I couldn't wait to take a bite. The first bite was sooooo good. It was cheesy and the BBQ sauce added a nice touch of sweetness to it. What i couldn't get over was how the crust was nice and crunchy. Let me start by saying I LOVE MOD. I think their pizzas are awesome, service is usually fast, staff is usually very friendly and the overall vibe is great. Which is why I'm so disappointed with this visit. This was a particularly slow Wed at lunch, might've been only 2 or 3 customers in line at the time. No greeting, the two folks on the line barely even looked up from what they were doing. I ordered the Squad Favorite salad, Roasted Grape Tomato. This was my first time trying out a MOD salad and based on this experience will likely stick with Pizza going forward. The romaine was 90% heel pieces and most of them were brown and wilted (see photo). Almost no salami even after asking for extra. I feel like they need to better manage their inventory to throw out bad lettuce and exercise better quality control as I should have never been presented with this salad. The person making it was clearly new as she had to consult the board for ingredients. All of that said, I still love MOD and will be back, I'll just stick with pizza from now on. read more

This is my kids' favorite restaurant in the Armory, and I love it for the healthy choices for me. My kids favor a mega Maddy and garlic strips with extra everything, and I order a prodigious salad. Love the endless options and the fact you can order any type and amount of toppings, sauces, and extra flourishes. The staff is SO NICE. They are patient and friendly with my kids' very particular orders, and they'll customize our food down to the amount of crispiness in the wood-fire oven. Hadn't been to Mod in the Bay but stopped by in Seattle as we weren't that hungry and majority of the other places in the Armory were closed. Just like Blaze or Pieology, everything is basically the same with Mod. I think we did get overly excited and put too many toppings on our pizza since they kept coming off. I also think the lady calling out the names for the pizza that day was just sick of her job. She was rude to many customers as well as her coworkers. This pizza place is super busy and the only reason why I gave it some star at all is for the worker who was making the pizza, she seems like she was the only one trying hard to get all the orders, what about the guy in the cashier, he doesn't even pitch in to refill the stations. I first attempted to order at lunch but there were 30 people in line and we have not moved for at least 20 mins. So I told my son we will order at dinner. Come dinner, there were about 10 in line, when it was our turn, the lady excused us coz there was an online order with 5 pizzas. I've been in MOD pizzas but I have never experienced this . I wish I remembered the lady name but she seem to be the only one sweating it out there - the big guy in the cashier just stands there waiting for the next customer to pay . I ordered my pizza online at 530pm for a 615pm pickup. I arrived at the Mod Pizza in the Armory at Seattle Center at 610pm. I inquired about my pizza and they said they hadn't made it yet. Somewhat understandable since they were busy. However, after seeing 30-40 customers who ordered in line after I arrived get their pizza before me, I got a bit frustrated. Seems like I wasn't the only one who had aordered online that didn't get their pizza when expected. I finally got my pizza after asking 3-4 times; 30 minutes after my requested pickup time. Most popular restaurant in the Armory food court. I went there on Sunday for lunch and Mod had 20 people in line while other restaurants has no line at all. I got one medium pizza with a float drink for 11$. It is really worth the money considering how much topping you can add. It may cost more expensive than pizza hut or Dominos' promotion price (5-7$for each medium pizza), but the topping make it worth the higher price. Also, It is cheaper than many other pizza place such as California pizza kitchen which cost about 15$ plus tip and tax for one medium pizza. I love the concept that you can pick anything you want on your pizz. Be creative and you will find it is better than any pizza you ever had. I love when I can say add more bacon please, add some artichoke, jalapenos or anything you want. You don't have to pay extra. It is all inclusive in one price. That make it is fun ever time going there. The ingredients taste good and that make the whole pizza great. I am not crazy about their salad though. California pizza kitchen make the best salad. I've been to Blaze and Pieology and MOD works the same way! They have options of pizzas that they already have or you can BYO aka customize it! I don't eat meat so I always customize it and make sure I get a TON of veggies piled on top of it! I think what makes this place stand out compared to the others is that they have some fancier toppings and ingredients. Examples such as roasted cauliflower and sri-rancha sauce to top it off! I've been going to the MOD pizza in downtown Bellevue for a while now and i really love it. Since my wife and I just moved back to Seattle, we decided to get pizzas here on Sunday night with some friends. Although the concept is similar and the staff is just as friendly, I did find a few differences in the quality of the food. First off, they seemed to have run out of rosemary in their bowl and it's something we're very fond of on the pizzas. But instead of getting more of it out, the guy kept literally scraping the bottom of an empty bowl and adding imaginary rosemary onto the pizza. It would have appreciated it if he had just got some more out or let us know that they are out. Also, I think the ovens might be a little too hot because the toppings and the outer crust were cooked perfectly on all 4 pizzas but the center was still a little soggy and not the nice crisp goodness we're used to at MOD. I guess it could have just been an off day, especially since it was Sunday night near closing time. My first time eating at a MOD pizza was at Bumbershoot this past weekend. As a first-timer, I felt like their ordering system was needlessly overcomplicated - like, enough to require an employee whose sole job is to give a 5 minute presentation to people waiting in line so they know how to order when they get to the front. Seems to be a popular chain, though, so I guess it's working for them. Staff was really friendly. But honestly, the pizza just wasn't that good. Thin crust is usually my preference, but this was sort of like eating a mushy cracker. Toppings were sparse. Even though I ordered a small, there was plenty of room for more than 3 pieces of pepperoni. Part of their schtick is that you can order as many toppings as you want at no extra charge, but don't expect to see too much of the toppings you ask for.
