Came here for the first time. Ordered takeaway of their large Calexico pizza and upgraded to the thick crust. Also ordered a build-your-own pizza. Balance came out to approximately $25. What's hot - Quality. Pretty good. Our Calexico pizza actually had a spicy kick, which is what we wanted. It's not easy finding places that follow through on their menu description, so that was nice. The pizza was warm and flavorful. The crust wasn't soggy and it had a nice texture. Our salad was delicious, as well. - Portions. Not bad, but not enough for sharing depending on the size of your group. A good amount of toppings, as well, which was nice. All the ingredients we ordered for our salad were included with enough to share. No skimping. - Menu variety. Pretty good variety, which is nice. They have more than the standard options, including things like artichokes, peppers, garlic, a variety of cheeses, meats, veggies. It appears that they may be vegan friendly, too, which is helpful. - Price. Pretty reasonable for what you pay for. Just be prepared this place is less for big groups and sharing. - Service. Our food was ready, packaged, warm and waiting when they said it would be ready. Definitely appreciate their timeliness. When I gave them the name for the order, their staffer had no problem finding our food. Efficient and effective. What's not - Crust. Their mega crust isn't as thick as we liked, but it's not bad. Just be prepared that they really don't have a good thick crust option. - Portions. Not bad, but not great. It was enough for hubby and I to share, but not enough for us to get full. It was a good thing we ordered a salad to go with our meal. - Parking. Depending on the day and time you come, parking is not always going to be easy in this plaza. For that reason alone, I'd recommend take away. - Health and safety. When we arrived to pick up our order, I noticed that none of their staff wore masks. During this time of the pandemic, when things are uncertain, we appreciate businesses that take extra precautions, because they interact with the public. Firstly, the service was top notch. That is a big deal for me because it is becoming so rare. Especially, at a franchise restaurant. There were 3 employees there and all were warm and friendly. Sadly, I recommend that you avoid the salad here. Ordered a deluxe salad and once I got it home noticed that the lettuce was mostly rotten. Called and the employee and manager who I spoke with were not helpful in any way. They have no contact email that you can send photos. They direct you to the corporate page that also does not allow photos and says that you can expect a response in 5-7 business days. Clearly a company that cares very little about quality and service. Finished a meeting early and went to Mod pizza in Riverdale park. I attempted to order my food but I found the manager Ada to be rude and unhelpful. I ordered a salad and a pizza. The salad looked really good and I asked if I ate outside would someone bring the pizza to me. Ada was unwilling to bring the pizza and told I might well because it was almost done has she removed the pizza uncomple from cooking. I asked my drink share gave me the cup, and I asked for a try. At that moment she asked me very rudely, shaking her head and said I can help you if you really need me that's when I said I feel like I shouldn't ask you for help and she rolled her eyes at me and walked off. This place has really gone downhill. Rude staff, especially the two guys with dreads (one has short dreads with glasses and other guy has longer dreads. They were arguing in front of customers about numbers on receipts being out of order. They were slow to take customer orders and the floor as shown in the picture is gross. I love this location. The staff here have always been super friendly and helpful. And, I love that it is BYOB! If you are familiar with modern, fast casual pizza, then you know how it goes. Pick your dough (I like thin crust, but there is also mega thick crust), pick your sauce, choose from any of the toppings, they bake it in the fire, and you add any last drizzles. All to your liking. My fiance´ and I like to come on a sunny Saturday afternoon and eat our pizza outside with some wine, and then head over to Whole Foods to do a little shopping. Not only was the food fantastic, but Brian, who was working there, made the experience over-the-top fantastic. First, he addressed my daughter directly when making her pizza, making her feel all nice and respected 'like a grown-up'. Then, when my wife's pizza came out /slightly/ wrong, he immediately offered to make a new one on the spot and let us have that one for free. We hadn't even noticed the problem! We probably WOULDN'T have noticed if he hadn't pointed it out. Amazing customer service. And then he came back twice to double-check that he was making the new pizza correctly (she'd had a custom order). On top of ALL this, it was the day after Christmas. A day any person would have begrudged coming into work. But not Brian. This guy was as chipper as a bluejay. Will definitely return. In town for a swim meet. Have eaten at MOD in Lancaster, PA and this was a group decision. All positive all the way around. Only change I would make would be to have the cheat sheets closer to the door. Jaz, Leonte, and Brian were a great team and delivered great customer service and franchise experience. Stealing from customers, upper management does not care: I had been stopping into this store regularly, and loved the pizza, atmosphere, and Wi-Fi. There are tons of options, as many toppings as you can ask for, and the people working there are always friendly. Unfortunately, I've had to stop going to this location because one of the employees is stealing from customers. When checking my credit card statements, I noticed an extra tip added to one of my purchases. Since I loved going to this location, I chalked it up to a mistake and thought that maybe I had been unclear on the receipt I had filled out. However, two trips later I noticed the same thing, a tip had been added. I took a picture of my receipt in anticipation of this, and very clearly declined a tip, yet there it was on my credit card. One of the employees is giving themselves tips and stealing from customers. I stopped in and talked to a manager, who was very receptive and said that the owner would be in touch. I never heard from anyone, so stopped in again. The same manager was friendly and tried calling the owner right then and there, but again with no response. I am giving two stars because the food is good and I loved going there, but unfortunately an employee is stealing from the customers and the management is doing nothing about it. My advice, steer clear of this location. If you still decide to eat there, use cash. If you must use a credit card, check your statement, although this did me no good. read more

I want to start by saying I've been here several times, and my experience was generally good when they first opened. The staff was friendly and the pizza great. But wow these past two times have been bad. First, the staff no longer seems to greet individuals directly. Instead, some are in auto pilot as you hear them shouting "hello" loudly but in no particular direction and only when they hear the door open for someone entering OR leaving. That didn't bother me much but then it got worse. As I have a gluten allergy, I'm aware that gluten free pizza is not going to taste exactly like the rest, but was appalled to hear a staff member insult their own gluten free pizza, in detail, as I was standing there in front of them ordering it. Somehow the staff didn't think I could hear them bad mouthing the food to each other when I'm standing three feet away. The icing on the cake was that after I paid, the same individual glared at me while asking the cashier if she had up-charged me for the gluten free bread. She had of course, because everyone at this point had her long explanation on why it was bad. Employees were a hoot and took the time to get the oregano "from the back" so my pizza could be seasoned to my Italian heritage's preference.
