My wife loves the steak quesadilla and mahi-mahi tacos, too! Honestly, I don't even know all the ingredients in each dish, and there are probably things I wouldn't normally like on their own. But the way they balance the flavors and put everything together? Incredible. Every bite takes you straight to Flavortown--Guy Fieri was right about this place! The service has been amazing every single visit. Everyone is friendly, the food comes out fast, and the place is really clean. It's a small spot with just two indoor tables, some bar stools, and about three or four outdoor tables. It feels like an "upscale" hole in the wall, and I mean that in the best way possible. And how could I forget the salted caramel chocolate chunk cookies from Rock Star Pastries?! The caramel melts in your mouth, you get that perfect chewy bite, and then the chocolate hits. SO good. The roast pork portion was small, had really hard pieces, and was swimming in pork grease. Once I dislodged it from the grease and shredded it, and incorporated it into the rice it was okay and it did the job of abating my hunger. To be fair my friend really enjoyed her food and she is Puerto Rican so you should trust her opinion more than mine. This is one of those times I really wished Yelp had half stars. If I averaged our two opinions it would be a 3.5. After reading the owner's thoughtful and fair reply and other good reviews I would be open to trying them again when they aren't so busy.
