It's got everything ... tangy tomato sauce, a mountain of pepperoni, some heat from the Calabrian chili, and those creamy ricotta blobs? Incredible. The basil on top just hits differently. The crust is that perfect mix of crispy and chewy. I could eat just the crust by itself, honestly. Every flavor totally worked together, spicy but not too hot, cheesy but not heavy. Couldn't pass up the Garlic Knots, either. I grew up eating garlic knots in New York and these made me a little nostalgic. They come out with this confit garlic purée that's super rich, plus shredded parmesan that melts right in, and a side of their "knotty sauce" that you'll end up wanting to dip everything in. They nailed it. Soft, garlicky, crazy addictive. I'd come back just for these. The whole vibe at Lo Mo is relaxed and fun. It's casual enough for a chill night out but the food feels seriously special. Everyone working there was super nice, took the time to answer my one million questions about the menu, and gave great recs. I already know I'm going to have to go back. There's a Fall Pie on their menu with roasted garlic cream, fontina, bacon, cider-roasted cabbage, and Alabama white sauce that sounds insane (in a good way). If it's anything like the pepperoni slice, I'm going to be obsessed.

It also took an extremely long time to get my order, and I noticed several people receiving their food before I received mine. Personally, I'm not a big fan of runny pizza. That said, I did notice that the sauce tasted authentic, and the crust was light and crispy. The venue itself is very small, but they do offer outdoor seating, although it's uncovered. Sorry, no pictures this time.

Both pizzas were quite tasty, though I wish they used black olives instead of green on the Delux. If I do go back, I'd eat inside to try some of their other food and have some beer. My husband went inside, so I didn't get to see what it looks like in there, but it's seems to be in a good location and looks pretty roomy from the outside. The only thing I didn't like was the mix up about paying for the pizza. I paid online with my credit card, but when my husband went in, they handed him a receipt to sign, which doesn't usually happen when you've already paid online. My husband thought the pizza wasn't paid for, and mentioned it to me when he got back to the car. I had him go in and make sure they didn't charge us twice. The employee told him they do that for the tip portion of the receipt. I thought that was a bit disingenuous. My husband ended up putting the tip on the receipt and signing it, but I was a bit put off by all that. Why am I tipping you on carry out? You didn't serve me at a table. You didn't drive to north Suffolk and deliver the pizzas. What are we tipping for? We've already paid for the food.
