Usually I love this place-I've stopped by on a few occasions with some friends for pizza. However, I would not recommend their online ordering system. When I arrived they had forgotten about my order. They placed it in the oven immediately and one of the employees offered me a drink, which I appreciated. However, when I got my pizza it was extremely burnt (I posted a picture of just how burnt it was) and not cut into slices whatsoever. Also the gargonzola that I usually get in small chunks was in chunks larger than the chicken (not my preference and not how it usually is). I would recommend stopping by for a sit down meal, but picking up I would avoid until they can work out the kinks. read more

The staff and food were awesome. One of our pizzas came out wrong and they made it the correct way right away. Even later the manager came out and personally apologized and gave us a cinnamon mod pie and a coupon for next time. That's amazing customer service and was so completely unexpected. Have dined twice at MOD Pizza. Good tasting product, fresh ingredients. First experience was a bit over the top with the staff yelling out loud as you depart, screaming thank you, have a good day (first name) as your walking out the door like Norm from Cheers. Sorta corny gimmick, but well intended. Only issue, it gets annoying when your trying to eat inside with all the screaming and yelling. Second visit, took 17 minutes to receive a standard MOD 11" Pizza with three toppings. Their competitor, having recently opened at Route 59 and 75th Street in Naperville is able to generate the similar product, but in 5 minutes. I am pretty sure, but not 100%, MOD has a unique brick oven, powered by natural gas. Their competition Pie Five Pizza uses a TurboChef Fire oven providing a similar artisan-hearth style pizza experience. Both claim providing a superfast pizza with artisan style product. However, MOD took 17 minutes to have my finished product with three toppings versus Pie Five Pizza having it ready in five minutes. Both produce a wonderful tasting product and I intend to continue dining at both places. read more

MOD Pizza is a great spot to grab a lot of delicious comfort food, the pizza here is so delicious, it has so many toppings, the sauce has a right portion, and the pizza is so thin and crispy. You will absolutely love how unique their pizza is in this place. You can also choose from their huge selection of flavors, they have lots of combinations, and also mix toppings. Their staff is so kind, decent, and attentive. They treat all of their customers so well, they all know how to manage and serve all of the orders so right and good, and also all of them are very personable and they respect all of their customers. A different take on pizza but I am a snob. I grew up with some of the best pizza in the world on the south side of chicago so I tend to be ultra picky. The pizza was fresh and quick and didn't taste bad at all. I would compare it more to a flat bread then a pizza but it tasty. they are also open a little later then some of the other places in town which is nice. all in all Im sure ill be back. read more

Review is for the food itself. If you are concerned with cleanliness or cross contamination, then it might not be for you. The floors and tables are filthy. Those preparing the pizzas use the same gloves regardless of the topping being applied. The person making the crusts, emptied the dish bins, went outside and then made crusts without washing hands. Hopefully somone in management sees this and knows these concerns may keep us from coming back. read more

Great first experience through online ordering! Simple account setup and ordering process, it took no time at all to order on my iPhone (no app to DL!!) Fastest ordering time was 30 min, but I didn't try to call to rush it or anything. I was curious if it would be hot at 3:13:50, the time it was scheduled to be waiting for me. It was! Paid online so I just went up to the register and got my pizza. Faster than a drive-through, and way better. I added fresh basil to my toppings on a whim (I couldn't remember what basil tasted like before this) and it was a huge success. It made the pizza taste extra 'fresh' and made it 'lighter' on the stomach (like mint does after a big meal). Usually I get extra cheese and/or easy on the sauce, but I wanted to try the standard mix. Fantastic pizza joint. This was my first time trying MOD and I was simply impressed. Staff was upbeat amd was willing to assist with how the establishment works. I saw it as the Subway of a pizza joints. You go down the line and get to choose any ingredient that you want, without the extra charges. I love the concept and I will be going back. Had I not been to a Blaze Pizza, I would have thought this place was amazing. A make your own pizza place with unlimited toppings is great idea. I even like that they had mini pizza option that would be perfect. What I didn't like is they burnt my pizza crust, and it wasn't like it was accidental. Every pizza I saw come out of the oven had a black crust. In fact, from eating it, it would be hard for it not to be with the thickness of their crust. read more

We had a crappy experience here a couple weeks ago. They lost my husbands pizza somehow - we think it was burned and nobody said anything until a long time passed by. Anyway, it's all fine now. I emailed their customer service and got a nice email back rectifying the situation. They also sent a personal letter in the mail apologizing along with a gift card. The management's efforts has definitely gone a long way! Now that is good customer service! We will be back to give it another shot. Tasty food. read more

This was my first time at MOD pizza so I can't compare it to any other locations but this location was a mess with shitty service. When we walked in there was a sign for a new pizza called "iggy". I asked for the "iggy" pizza and the employees seemed confused. They all were unsure of how to make it then realized they didn't even have the ingredients to make it. I just ordered the BBQ chicken pizza instead. Which ended up looking NOTHING like what it was supposed to. It had tons of GIANT chunks of onions and no BBQ drizzle on top which apparently you have to ask for even though it says it comes that way? I also ordered a Caesar salad and they asked me how I wanted it made. I want it made how the description says it is made. This location seemed to be build your own OR pick a classic BUT if you pick a classic, you still have to build it yourself which doesn't make sense. Like I said I don't know if other locations are like this but if I order a "caspian" (BBQ chicken pizza), I shouldn't have to pick what kind of sauce or cheese I want on it. If I wanted to build my own, I wouldn't pick a classic that was already build. Also the service sucked. Would not go back. read more

Pizza is fairly average but the service is terrible. On a Saturday afternoon at lunch time they have exactly one person taking orders and one person cooking. Just get the Valencia and wait for flavor invaders to invade your flavor receptors. I've been there three times and the advice I have is Yoda-ish. First, don't get the mega version, it's too much and you lose the taste of the ingredients. Second, they got good ice cubes....sounds weird until you get them. Then you're all like, "Noice! Mod pizza is great. If you've never been to Mod pizza, then imagine a pizza place that would be the equivalent to Subway if Subway were to make gourmet sandwiches. You start by picking your size dough, then build your pizza any way you like. They have the standard toppings you would expect to find on a pizza and some not so standard stuff like roasted garlic and roasted cauliflower. They finish the pizza off in an authentic brick pizza oven so the crust is nice and crispy. I recommend topping your pizza off with the pesto drizzle. The medium pizza is large enough to feed my very large appetite as they let you pile on as many toppings as you want and the price is still under 8 bucks. Add in the fact that they have craft beer and you have a winner. I wish I had thought of this concept! read more

Just tried this place a couple days ago for the first time and just went back again today! I LOVE this place. The staff is awesome! They are all so friendly and helpful. Probably the friendliest staff I've ever seen! And the pizza is super good. It's less than $8 for the equivalent of a small pizza and you get as many toppings as you want for no extra! It's delicious and it cooks in 3 minutes. Definitely one of my new favorite lunch spots! read more
