Ordered deep dish and a sampler appetizer for delivery at 3 PM on a Sunday. Pepperoni and Sausage Deep dish was not cut, soggy and not impressive. Sampler was room temperature The cheesey garlic bread in the sampler was abysmal. The boneless chicken was smaller than a chicken nugget.. borderline being considered popcorn chicken. My husband and I met some friends for pizza at Giordano's on a Friday night. Giordano's was semi-full but we met our friends at the table. Our booth was small and cramped with not much room for my legs. We ordered the meat lovers deep dish and spinach deep dish pizza. The pizzas were delicious with tons of cheese and toppings. It seems this place is jumping on the bandwagon of having a tipping option for carryout. Tipping culture is way out of hand especially when the tip is expected BEFORE any product or service is rendered. I don't mind tipping for a sit-down meal but why is this even an option for carryout? They guilt-trip you into giving a tip and then leave you wondering if they'll mess with your food if you don't tip enough. It's absolutely ridiculous. Deep dish pizza is a must tourist stop in Chicago, you just need to plan ahead because this isn't "fast" food. I planned for an hour and placed an order for pick up. I have been to Chicago twice before and never got chance to try their "famous deep dish pizza". This time we visited our friends and i asked if we can have deep dish pizza, and the first meal we went to was Giordano's pizza... this is definitely my favorite pizza now, as the crust was so crispy that it reminded me of samosa cover and definitely pizza and toppings add to the crust. I would leave zero stars if I could. Not only was there something wrong with every single food item we ordered (including a pizookie which I thought forsure couldn't be messed up), but also the manager was extremely rude and not even a little apologetic. She didn't say I'm sorry or apologize at all, which would have made alllll the difference. Went with my go-to deep dish spinach pizza. You can choose to have it cut or left uncut and can ask for packets of parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes. Overall, the pizza transported well, but it would be nice if they allowed a half-baked option to ensure that it could be eaten nice and hot. The other day, I ordered 3 large pizzas, sausage, pepperoni and margarita. I picked them up as directed, in 45 minutes. The hottest thing was the boxes, the pizzas were Luke warm at best. I specifically asked for extra sauce as this particular Giordano's has a tendency to put very little sauce on their pizza's. What I received was very little sauce. The sausage pizza, cheese just barley reached melted. I've ordered from here before and have had excellent pizzas which is why I give three stars. My parents and I came here around 7:30 PM on a Saturday night. We waited around 30 minutes before we were seated. While waiting we were given the opportunity to preorder our deep dish in the back. Each deep dish takes around 35-40 minutes so once we were seated we just had to give the server a receipt of our preorder and we got our pizza back much quicker than having to wait another 30 minutes. Apart from the pizza that we preordered we also ordered an entree sized house salad. Though the lettuce and tomatoes of the salad were very fresh there was just not enough in the salad, it felt overpowered by the lettuce. The dressing also felt a bit lacking in the salad, would have been nice to be able to pick out the dressing. As for the pizza, the toppings were a good mixture and the flavor was good (We got The Special) but the dough was just lacking. It was not very well cooked towards the bottom and the crust itself was way too dry. It also didn't feel completely heated all the way through. On the plus side, the service was great. The server was very friendly and worked very quickly and the host was also very friendly as well. Upon notifying the restaurant, they offered to refund the salad but took no other responsibility for the delay and resulting poor temp/quality of the food. 3 stars because the whole place is in chaos. I ordered online for a later pickup. I entered the Giordano's branch along Route 59 and no one was at the reception. I went to the cashier counter and found that the employees are busy taking simultaneous phone calls. I didn't get entertained until I called someone out. The restaurant seem to lack initiative and as if always cramming. It wasn't a long wait though until I got my pizza after I showed up at the counter. Meanwhile, another set of customers that went inside with me were just standing by the door waiting to be seated by an absent receptionist despite having empty tables. Who doesn't love Giordannos?! I've grown up going to this place as it's not too far from my house! It's easy to spot and the parking lot is big enough for all the hungry eaters. The decor of every Giordannos is pretty much the same. It has an Italian vibe that makes you feel right at home. The waiters are usually young here, most likely working at the local HS but they are usually very nice! We started off with the buffalo wings and oh my goodness these were amazing! First time I had the boneless, and I was in love! I am a big boneless wing person and these were outstanding! I will definitely be getting from now on! Now pizza time..So my absolute favorite is the deep dish pizza! The sauce, the cheese and the crust are all cooked together perfectly. However, this visit my family and I went with the thin crust. The pizza came out piping hot and I love that the waiters will cut your first slices! We did half sausage and half pepperoni to appease everyone's tastebuds and were pleasantly satisfied with both. We swung by for deep dish on the way to Chicago. It was delicious, and the kids got cheese sticks too, which were good. Be prepared to wait, because deep dish takes a while to bake. My only complaint was our super sweet, but very flaky waitress, who (even though she was nice as all get out) added probably about 15-20 minutes of extra time onto our visit by not having any hustle. This is the newest and also smallest Giordano's we've ever been to. We haven't been to the new downtown Naperville one yet. There was a bit of a wait for folks with 4 or more (looked to be common occurence for the dining room size) til 8pm on a Friday nite, but we were just two and got seated right away. The stuffed sausage and mushroom pizza and Caprese salad we had was ok, but not exceptional by any means. The salad was on soggy side and skimpy on the cheese. Bacino's has a much better Caprese salad. The pizza and crust were decent tasting but it was also soggy and heavy on the tomato sauce, which is the way they pretty much always serve it it seems. There was a watery sauce pool under our uneaten pizza slices. Overall, ok pizza joint, but no comparison to Lou Malnati's. read more

Visiting from out of town, and a friend suggested we swing by here for some deep dish pizza.. I forgot the pizza that we got but it included chicken sausage and call me naïve but I had no idea what the heck that was. So I kindly asked the waiter to not include the sausage and we went back-and-forth him asking if I didn't wanna include the chicken, and I was saying no the sausage. The point of it is he was very rude about explaining what chicken sausage was and ended the rebuttal with OK then nothing on your pizza. We ended up ordering it correctly however by the time that we got it, they say about 30 minutes plus to make it perfect, but it was far from that never have a deep dish in my life however this one was incredibly saucy and very wet. I am more of a cheese and sauce kind of gal but they dumped a whole jar on this one and skipped on the cheese. They had a calamari appetizer that was unique and that was probably the best part of the whole experience. read more
