I love the build your own pizza here. The staff are friendly and helpful. They don't mind explaining all of the ingredients to you and have a good sense of humor. The music is great. I love the blackberry lemonade. They also have vegan cheese so making a vegan pizza is no problem. You can get half and half if you want to split a pizza with your date. We really loved Mod Pizza. The open front concept makes for an awesome dining experience, with the wind moving and the sounds of the city coming in. The suggested menu was full of great offerings for folks who get overwhelmed with all the options. Everything was fresh and looked great. So many choices it was hard to decide on what to put on there. The place was understaffed the night we went but one of the servers that had been there from opening made sure the newbies made our dinner just right. I have been remiss in posting a review for this place. We've been several times now and so far, every time, the service has been super friendly and laid back. A great atmosphere, only I might turn down the music volume a smidge . Now for the pizza. You order at the counter and then move down the line. They prepare it in front of you, allowing for customization. The crust is light and crispy, the ingredients fresh. We love it! We come as often as our budget will allow. And best of all, at least for us, they have a dairy free cheese that my son assured me is very delicious! It's so great to be able to take my dairy-allergic son out for pizza again! I placed an online order today for my pizza. The man at the counter gave my pizza away to the wrong customer. The customer who he gave my pizza to took it all the way to the inside of his car before "realizing" that it wasn't his pizza. He then brought it back inside and him and the worker switched out pizzas. Then the worker said , "Oh. Here's your pizza." Pointing to the pizza that I clearly seen the other customer walk out of the store with beforehand. Then as I was walking out of the store , he yelled out to me to "have a great day!". I was in a rush headed to work , otherwise I would've asked for them to remake my pizza over. I ended up tossing the pizza because no offense , germs and COVID is very much still real. The worker acted as if the situation was nothing but to me it was very unprofessional. You allowed the other customer to walk completely out of the store and get in his car with the wrong pizza and I'm just supposed to be okay with that? Hubby and I stopped in because we read the reviews and thought, this place sounds great. The good news is that it is a clean friendly atmosphere with loads of seating inside and out. I can't give it a higher rating because honestly I did not enjoy my pizza and neither did the hubby. The crust is more like a cracker and that resulted in my toppings not really melding together. If they would have baked it a second longer the crust would have burned. Now on to the ingredients. I ordered a Tristan and added toppings. There was just no depth of taste to the two cheeses - asiago normally has so much flavor and mozzarella is bland, so no expectations there. The black olives did not have the expected flavor of a good Cento or other "better" brand. The added chicken did not have any notable taste. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wow. Wow. Wow. Service was great and so warm and friendly. Online order was ready right when they said it would be. Price was really good. The actual pizza - these pies were absolutely delicious. Unlimited toppings that you can customize, or choose from some of their regular menu pizzas...I cannot imagine going wrong. We ordered a regular mod and a mega for a date night in and it was plenty for my wife and me (with left-overs). The ONLY negative was that they left out the pesto that was supposed to go with the garlic strips we ordered. But, that's still not enough to take away a star. I love this place. First time I went I got a gluten free pizza it was bomb!!! The really tall Guy Mr Grubbs was so nice to me while we were constructing this culinary delight that I came back with my only other gluten free friend. Mr . Grubbs told me it is company policy change gloves for gluten-free pizzas to use different plates and surfaces. This is awesome there are hardly any gluten-free options out there especially for things like pizza. I appreciate Mr Grubbs and his staff taking extra precautions for gluten allergies. Pizza was delicious it was crispy and only took 8 minutes this place is kind of like a subway for pizzas where you can go through the line and make your own custom dish. I enjoyed this new "fast" pizza place in Mobile immensely. I liked how you just chose your size pizza and the toppings were basically all you could want...the choices were endless , kind of like a Subway. They had tons of options regarding meats and veggies. They had different styles of crust. My husband ordered the MadDog which was basically an all meat pizza. The sauce is super flavorful and crust is crispy and chewy at the same time. Meat items looked overly processed. Basic red sauce was okay, but not outstanding. Amount of ingredients justified the low price. This pizza is so delicious. I was a little skeptical with is being a fast food pizza place but it was better than any other pizza in Mobile. Also cheap, you can get an 11 inch pizza for $8 with anything you want on it. You would spend twice as much at Pizza Hut or whatever and wait twice as long. Everybody was very friendly as soon as you walk in the door. I highly recommend, they also have great vegan and vegetarian options which is a very big deal around this area. It's so hard to find this fresh fast food that's actually good and good on price and this is the place to go. 10/10 read more

The person manning the pizza oven was kind and apologetic, offered me a free menu item for the wait. However when the pizza came out 10 minutes later (35 minute wait now), the free item still wasn't ready so I left without it. I went to Mod Pizza at McGregor Plaza in Mobile Alabama for lunch today for my first visit. My intentions were to order just a salad...until I saw a menu with their pizza selections. I ended up ordering a Mad Dog Pizza with their Roasted Pineapple Salad. I must admit that their salad was the BEST salad I have had in a long time. The Mad Dog Pizza was also GREAT. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that has not visited this location before. The staff was super friendly and had a lot of patience while taking my order. We needed a pizza restaurant in this area and I feel that this new restaurant will be what this area was looking for. read more
