Richanda!!! (Maybe spelling her name wrong) working and living down the street from MOD I go here a lot. That being said I have never had such an incredible experience/service than Richanda. They are amazing!!!! Funny, helpful, patient, EVERYTHING!!! I can say enough about my good experience with Richanda also Jamie working the fire was so nice and actually made my pizza the way I want. Previous experiences have never been this good. I have had my pizza dropped people be extremely rude and disrespectful. This cleaned the slate and I will only and always go there when this particular staff if working. Richanda didn't expect a tip. When I saw the card reader had only 10% or less I was offended no one should ever tip less than 20% and people like Richanda and Jamie deserve 20% plus. GIVE THEM A RAISE!!! read more

This MOD doesn't know how to effectively handle fundraisers. Online or phone orders continually get bumped, regardless of if they're placed hours in advance or not. We've tried multiple avenues of ordering to get a timely pick-up during events, but it's just not worth it. Each time, the wait has been over an hour past the requested pick up time, while customers walk in, order, and get their pizzas before previously placed orders. A 5pm pick up (placed at 4pm) should take precedence over a 5:30 walk in. When a fundraiser isn't occurring, we love this location, but they may need to rethink how their fundraisers are run, unfortunately. read more

Well, I had my very first MOD pizza today, and I must say that I was not impressed. It's not that the pizza was BAD. It was just so... BLAND. I ordered the "Here for a limited time." Jasmine pizza. Check out these exciting toppings: Pesto base Kale & Broccoli Power Blend Mozzarella Red Thai Curry Chicken Pineapple A Sri-rancha Swirl Sounds like some unique, interesting toppings, right? They also forgot to add the ranch swirl on top. The employees weren't the friendless but this is usual at mod. When you walk in no one says hello. I've always had a great experience with Mod Pizza! Fresh, delicious, and flavorful ingredient make for some amazing and creative pizza and salad combinations. There is usually a seasonal salad that is not on the mobile order that you can try when you're in the store over the years it has included roasted asparagus, arugula, roasted broccoli, corn, strawberries, etc many different flavorful ingredients that are usually amazing. I'm also a huge fan of the Maddog pizza with the fig balsamic glaze. And if you haven't tried the No Name Cakes, you're really missing out. The staff are usually pretty busy but are able to keep up and have an efficient assembly line that helps keep the store moving. There is a outdoor dining area as well for people that want to enjoy eating outdoors weather permitting. I wanted to add that I was in there today during a lunch rush and the place was absolutely packed! There was a stack of a mobile orders that were coming in faster than the stream of people coming in the door. It did feel like they were a little understaffed today but not big deal and everybody seem to be very patient and happy to wait for their delicious food. The one caveat to that was the customer in front of us. I felt horrible for how she was talking to and treating the staff, she was quite combative and focused her energy on the person taking orders. The lady even tried to pull me and my daughter into her nastiness by loudly telling us "it didn't matter what we ordered, she (points to worker) won't make it correctly anyway!" The staff handled this situation well but my heart went out to them. I'm not sure how the staff didn't kick this woman out, instead they tried many times to make her happy and offered her numerous solutions. A champ! I was sad to move to town and leave my favorite pizza parlor behind but good news! I just stumped into MOD after 8 months to come to the nearby Walmart... I looooove the pizza gourmet flavor with a fast food price, just so you know I ate similar pizzas in Seattle (Serious Pies) and they were way expensive with a really seriously similar flavor and freshness...the only one difference I can think of is the thickness of the dough and the pricey ones where actually more burned... That been said the two times I been there my experience was more pleasant is great! I saw a comment for the shape of the ice in the fountain machine is juts way to cute lol...I love it too! Also the girl who answered the phone was super rude when I called after waiting 30 mins, 10 mins more than she originally stated they were behind, to check up and see what was going on. Used to be a huge fan of the maple Valley and covington stores, but lacey seems to not be able to keep it together. I've had so many bad pizzas out of here I quit even trying. Mention their lack of sanitation folding pizza boxes on the floor and well, yeah, why anymore? We love Mod but this was our first time to this location. We put our order in online and it was a 20 minute wait before pick up, no problem. We arrive and are told it's going to be another 20-30 minutes because they were backed up on online orders, again ok. I came back 15 minutes later and the order was ready and had been sitting for awhile which was irritating but I'll deal with it. We get home and our mega salad had no dressing when we actually asked for extra and the dressing is what really makes the salad tie together. Very disappointed. So besides having to not have the salad we were craving, waiting much longer for our food ( pizza wasn't hot when picked up) and not getting the garlic on the side as asked, it just wasn't the experience we are used to from other locations. Maybe it was just a bad night and I'll try them again but I won't be as forgiving. read more

My husband and I were pretty excited to try this place! I was mostly excited to try their gluten free crust because I had heard it was awesome! Let's start with the good: - it's something different. Picture like chipotle and subway meets pizza, but way better. (Not a fan of either of those places) the business model is genius though. They have pre planned out options if you want, but it's nice to be able to take stuff off or add stuff. - the service is great! It was super chaotic when we arrived and we waited in line awhile to get to the pizza line, but the people behind the counter were beyond nice and smiley! Super helpful and accommodating when I asked for more of a topping - THE PIZZA of course! Was excellent. I don't usually like pizza that much at all, and I got the Dominic on gluten free crust... Perfect. Just the right amount of flavor and the gluten free crust was to die for The bad: - toppings are put on in some scarcity. Do NOT hesitate to ask for more of a topping if they jip you of more than you want. For instance I was given a pathetic amount of basil at first, I asked for more, and he said "oh of course!" Now that's what I like to hear. - busy at times, consider ordering online if you want to just get take out - gluten free crust is only available in the "MOD size", which is their 11' pizza. Not the mini or the large. Kinda annoying since I only wanted a mini. In the future I hope they modify this. Overall I would totally come here again. We have previously gone to Mod in Tacoma and it was great, so we were excited to see the location opening near our house. Being brand new it should be noted that as a business overall they're doing a good job. The wife, kiddo and I went on a busy busy Saturday evening-- literally a line out the door. All things considered, since it seemed like pretty new staff, they did a great job. The place was slammed and they seemed to be having some issues with the pizza dough smashing machine sticking... Thus backing up the line a bit. Needless to say, the staff all remained extremely helpful and friendly. I have one complaint-- my mega mad dog(#2) got scorched around the outside. Not a little-- but a proper ring of black. But I figured. Whatever, the joint just opened they're beyond busy, in starving...and the inside of the pie was okay so what the hell.. I'll just eat it. Upon sitting down my wife noticed there was a feedback QR code on the napkin dispenser. So I did their survey and shared a picture of my scorched pie. No joking--as we were eating I got a call from the district manager named Kirk, who was super nice and apologetic. I said, no big deal, mistakes happen and you didn't lose a customer over the issue. But he insisted on shooting is a gift certificate which is pretty awesome sauce and not expected at all. I ordered from them through Uber eats and got pizza that was soggy as all else to the point we couldn't eat it it was a limp noodle instead of pizza. It also tasted like cardboard. I also ordered a vegetarian salad as I'm allergic to a couple of animal products. I'm especially very allergic to chicken. I get the salad, and right before I take a bite, I see chicken pieces in it instead of chickpeas. I am not happy with this at all. They looked to be new hires but the person in charge encouraged them to try the cookies. Another gentlemen roaming slowly and aimlessly around the restaurant checking on I don't know what. But he checked the garbage sack by the soda machine 3 times with out emptying it. Huge circles around his eyes. Then one of his buddies walked in. I normally get a family sized salad (I eat like a horse) and maybe breadsticks. I really like how they let you put in whatever you want so I can have a guilt free waddle to my car and feel less guilty when I get in my car since all the vegetables will have digested. Never been here before? Beware, they YELL greetings as soon as you step in the door. And yes, it's directed at you. Don't look around, they are talking directly to you. As the door opens and the breeze wafts in, it must awaken these young workers into realizing that "Yes, there is someone at the door!!!". They are slow, unfriendly, did not have my order ready when I arrived (had not even started making it), and when they did make it, made it wrong. Message to MOD Pizza: You may have a good product, but if your not teaching your employees customer service skills, another entity will take business from you in this competitive market. Note that a lot of people you hire probably did not learn basic manners at home (most milineals are lacking in this), so you as an employer has to step up, be the surrogate parent, and teach these folks some basic life skills like: Smile when a customer comes in and greet them, keep attention on the customer's needs and not your co-workers, have someone walking around the restaurant and checking in on how people's experience is, thank people for visiting your restaurant, fix errors quickly, and terminate employees who do not add value to your organization. read more
