We've been here a few times & it never disappoints. I love that I can add plenty of toppings at no extra cost. The reason they lost a star is because of you put too many toppings the pizza always comes out soggy and if they cook it more it just gets burnt. I prefer crispy. This is a theme which has developed over the past few years...fast food Pizza (or relatively fast food). Frankly I have not been to any others than CiCi's which isn't really the same theme however comes close...a multitude of pizza styles prepared relatively quickly. I stray however from the task at hand which is to determine why I would recommend MOD so highly. Firstly it is a clean crisp ambience which is quite modern in its sparsity yet very pleasant. Always nice to accompany a meal with pleasant surroundings which may be unique to this restaurant and not other MOD's however it is a great addition...someone bussing constantly. Secondly efficiency in service...if you're going to give something up which in MOD's case is a rich dough, to move through the service element, quickly and efficiently is a fair trade-off. These folks (whomever created the theme) have thought of everything as there is apparently an option to have a thicker, 'doughier' option which I did not partake of so for those who are more inclined to a more classical pizza that option is readily available. How it coinicides with efficiency I cannot say but will update in the future as I am likley to return. Thirdly, there are base pizza recommendations with custom addtions available. The ingredients are flavorful, fresh and abundant and the sauce (retrospectively) quite flavorul. Lastly, the price which is faire for thr quantity and quality of the food. I would highly reommend the 'sweet an spicy' peppers as an addition if one is so inclined and would recommend that you bring a coat or sweater if you intend to eat in the restaurant as it is highly air conditioned. I am in the restaurant business, so yes I have a critical eye. However, the MOD Pizza in Fulshear on 1463 is one of the dirtiest restaurants I've ever seen in my life. ANYONE would agree. There was food all over the floor behind counter where they were making pizzas literally from one wall to the next like an explosion had taken place. Even better, a whole pizza they had dropped and left in the corner and repeatedly stepped on. It was 3pm, not busy. About 4 tables full. Red sauce running down wall at pizza oven and clearly left for hours to dry. Employees uniforms covered in food. Floors in entire restaurant filthy! When I asked the kid at register why it was so dirty, he just looked around a shrugged his shoulders. There were at least 8 employees on duty that I could see, so no excuse. Unfortunately, I read reviews on this one location after going and several mention the filth - dating back to December! So clearly the owners don't give a shit!! So sad to see a concept that I've heard great things about be so poor. Calling health inspector asap!! AVOID!!! read more

I have ordered here 4 times now, and all 4 times there is something wrong with the pizzas or they take an extra long time beyond the estimated time on my online order receipt. The last time one of the workers came to me and apologized for my order being "10 minutes late". Unfortunately, it was actually 25mins late. Worse yet, I paid extra for cauliflower crust on both our pizzas and got regular dough. I'll give them a 2 cause everyone there is at least courteous, and they've always offered to make up for the issues in some way. Good pizza but this is the filthiest Mod I've ever been to, and I've been to several in Houston and Austin. Even the counter where the pizzas are assembled is messy and dirty. It would take a minor amount of work to fix this filth problem so I'm not sure why they can't make it happen. Won't be back! read more

Visit this place with kids once or twice a month. Most staff are very friendly and serve you with pleasure and make you fee welcome. Some are in a super hurry at times and pizzas are not of the same quality on the rare occasion (I have had undercook pizza once or twice). Have also found plates do be dirty and not washed properly. Tip for the dudes who make pizzas: If someone says no meat on their pizzas, ask if they are a vegetarian and consider changing your gloves which had meat all over them from the previous pizzas you made. One of the best pizza places close to Cross Creek. Awesome service and very friendly staff. The place is clean and has a nice little outside area. It is not too crowded even during peak times. The pizza is great. Every time I use my wild imagination and get a great result. The crust is delicious too, not to thick and not too thin, just right. I ordered my own pizza mini with mushrooms, bell peppers, PINEAPPLE ( my favorite topping) and my husband went up and got his pizza and they told him they burnt mine. I went to the counter to see if they could start marking it bc my husband was almost done with his pizza. They made my pizza but the time I got it I needed to take it Togo and the dough was raw and there was NO PINEAPPLE on it. Needless to say I was starving and angry at this point. read more

Worst pizza I've ever had. I couldn't even pinpoint what was so bad other than it was just overall gross. And that's saying a lot since I love pizza and it's pretty hard for me to not like it. The crust, dry and flavorless, sauce was lacking in both taste and quantity and the toppings just fell off everywhere. We loved our old Mod Pizza location in Bellingham, WA, however, this location on 1463 in Fulshear is having some growing pains. We've been 4 times so far, and the employees in general have bad attitudes--borderline rude, one had noticeably grimy fingernails and the last time they literally ran out of pizza dough even though there was a long line of customers. We had to leave with no pizzas after standing in line for a long time. I hope they will get their act together as the pizza is very yummy...they are doing the PNW a disservice with this location so far. Go train with the nice people in Bellingham! read more
