I haven't been to a MOD pizza in many years. So this is as if it is my first tome coming here. So the way it works, the menu is at front as you walk in. You can choose one of their specialty pizzas or you can create your own. I love that concept (love the options). I went with the Dillon James and Calexico. Basically on a thin crust with real toppings you can add or subtract to it. I chose Dillon James because the toppings were garlic, basil, Mozzarella, asiago, and tomatoes. It came out so good. My friend had the Calexico which had mozarella, gorgonzola, chicken, jalapeño, and spicy buffalo (that one was too spicy for me). There was only one guy we saw in the whole store and i did not get his name. But he was polite and he moved quickly. The place looks very modern and it was clean. I love all the pizza box art. Very creative decor. Our food didn't take too long. And did i mention it was quite good.

Service was great for a Saturday afternoon. We got the bbq chicken pizza and added mushrooms. The bbq sauce was a little too sweet for our taste but it was still delicious! The pizza came out fast as well. (Bonus points because they have chewable ice)

Only one employee helping customers, making pizzas at the food station... during lunch time... with a line of customers waiting. Another worker was "busy" just making boxes (adding to a large stack already there in plain sight), and one more hiding in the back doing who knows what. Really, MOD?!?! A 2nd worker finally showed up to help make orders after we had already waited almost 15 minutes in line watching the first employee take her sweet time putting a pizza together ever so slowly for customers ahead of us... Thank goodness the wait for our food to be ready was not as long. We got the Italiano pocket pie, Tristan pizza on cauliflower crust, and two more customized pizzas on regular crusts for our group. The toppings were tasty enough (combination of pepperoni, mushrooms, artichokes, and more), but they overdid the arugula in the pocket pie and it was overpowering, so I had to take some out. The crusts were subpar, somewhat tasteless. But the food was edible, so it was fine. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating inside, and easy parking available in the plaza parking lot. Not much more I can say about this place, they're not bad, but I don't recommend coming here if you're in a hurry, they don't seem to know how to staff sufficiently or prioritize tasks... so service is slooowww.

I did NOT inform them that I'm on a diet. Why are they stingy with the dressing(only 1/3 full) on such a LARGE salad ?!?!?!?

The salad is good. The issue is the dressing. I'm paying $20 for a large entree salad, and received (2) salad dressing containers that's only 1/3 full??????? I mean, you could give at least 1 FULL container and save plastic. This just ruined my lunch.

First time trying this place! I like how you can create your own pizza. I did half BBQ chicken and the other half the Allie special... now don't judge until you have tried it but it's artichoke hearts, garlic and pineapple.. simply divine. The toppings were fresh and the crust was a bit on the cracker side. I love a thin crust but hate when it gets dry. Definitely would try it again!

Shout out to the MOD Pizza crew who participated in the recent "A Taste of the Veranda." I was expecting just a small slice of pizza so was delighted that I got to build my own mini pizza. MOD also threw in a soda and a MOD No Name Cake. Thanks to MOD Pizza for being community minded and supporting this fundraiser which benefitted Center for Human Development. This event was my introduction to MOD ... and I'll be back when I crave a quick lunch.

We have been coming to MOD so many times the past few months. MOD does a really great job with fundraising for local schools. Having kids means we sometimes have to come down and get some pizza to show our support. The pizza is pretty good. Nothing too crazy about it. Its not greasy which I really like. I think the Cheesy Garlic Bread is the best thing to order. The curst and the seasoning are fantastic. My daughter orders the Mini Maddy. I have had their Mega Cesar. You can half it and take the rest home for lunch the next day. My son likes the Dylan James pizza. The one my husband I like the most is the Mad Dog pizza. It has sausage, peperoni and cheese. I would add mushrooms but my husband isn't a mushroom fan. There was a thing I got that I would not recommend. The Italiano Pocket Pie. I would describe it as wet. It was from the fresh tomato but it was not great nor easy to eat. It can get busy so keep an eye on your order as they come out. We have had a few items over looked a few times. Yet sometimes they weren't busy and were super slow. So its inconsistent. However, while inconstant, the service is very nice and quick to make corrections. MOD is a great place to take kids. Even little rambunctious ones.

Do not go if one has any allergy of any kind!! I came in ordering a JASPER. The Jasper should only have Red sauce, mozzarella, spicy chicken sausage, mushrooms. 1st bite into my pizza was fishy, the person making the pizza weren't changing gloves in between pizzas and was working on anchovy pizza before and after mines. Could see him pulling anchovies from another can while I was eating. If I had a fish allergy I would be dead. Tried messaging on Twitter without a response.

This is my first time trying MOD Pizza. I came in around 6pm on a Friday, and as it's right before Christmas, the entire Veranda shopping center is bustling. The parking lot where MOD is located is medium sized, though I never try parking here as it's a prime spot for all the restaurants, so it's usually impossible. There were quite a few people in line and 20 minutes have passed before I got to the front. You have the choice of creating your own pizza with your choice of sauce, toppings, cheese, and even gluten-free or cauliflower crust. If you don't want to create your own, they also have their signature pizzas on the menu. I ordered 1 MOD sized pizza and a 24 oz soda, the cashier asked if I wanted to make it a combo, which I saw was a $10.99 special. I didn't do the math of how much I would save by making it a combo, but I went with it anyway. Dining: If you plan to dine in, the cashier will ask to see your vaccine card. The restaurant is mostly bar stools and tables with a few regular seating against the window. At this time, there was a dinner rush, so the garbage piled up with cardboard boxes and the garbage cans inside the restaurant aren't very equipped to fit all those boxes. All the staff is occupied taking or making orders, so there wasn't anyone available to wipe down tables after each use. Food: The pizzas are all thin crust (which I'm not a fan of) but they were very cheesy (which I am a fan of). They offer their signature salads on the menu, and you can create your own as well. Staff: Didn't have any major problems during my visit. The staff were very nice and had good energy. I had actually received a different pizza than what I ordered, which I said I would eat it anyway, but the staff gave me the 1st pizza as well as the correct pizza which was nice.

Mod, Concord: 18 Dec 2021 It's a deal - $10.00 for a good-sized pizza with your choice of topping/s. The thin crust which I love - was excellent. It may have been the toppings that I chose - but, my pizza didn't give me the 'oomph' effect. To me... it was just another pizza. Thankfully, the company made up for my meal.

The restrooms could have used some attention and the noise level was a bit louder than other locations I've visited-it was a Friday night! The trash cans customers use were overflowing. I would return.

I've never been to a Mod pizza here but the warmth of the staff and the deliciousness of the food definitely has me coming back! Everyone greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcome into their establishment. I got the bbq chicken pizza, and oh my god I nearly cried it as so good! It's a great place to pop by for a quick lunch! They have a pretty decent beer list and not too pricey at all. It seems like the staff likes to be there and it shows! The fire-roasted pizza my mother-in-law and I shared was amazing! The crust was light and crispy, and the toppings were cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly, the restaurant was clean, and although they were a bit busy, they were not overcrowded. We met the manager, Alan who shook our hands and greeted us with a smile. Service good.. all choices are on a line you pick your toppings as you move down the line..thin or thick crust and lots of good topping choices.. I love the options and my pizza was great they also had a berry lemonade a little sweet for me but add a little water and it was great. read more

Although MOD is my go-to pizza spot located in the Veranda, this place can get relatively busy and parking can be a hassle at times however, it's not their fault! I always get a Mad-Dog MOD sized pizza and it turns out good every time. However, the reason I am giving this only four-stars (I wish I can give it three and a half) was because the gentleman behind the counter responsible for putting and taking out pizzas from the oven (usually wearing a beanie and glasses) has the worst customer service! When myself or other customers ask for ranch/other sauces he rolls his eyes and acts as if he really hates his job! No excuse to be rude though... read more

Pooooooor. The place was a mess floor, doors, glass were trashed. I can only imagine the back of the house. Seems like no one cares. The pizza baker was extremely rude and not helpful at all. Pizza maker huge hair was hanging on top of the food. It was our first time there will not be back for a while. I do not recommend this place. Cleanliness is not a priority here looks like. We spent 45 min there an did not see a smile from any of the staff. read more

This place didnt had a water cup. When i asked for a regular cup, or any other cup, the guy( who seemed he had a bad day), said he can only cell a cup to me even if i needed just water. That seemed kinda strange to me. I sat down writing this review and later he called me and gave me the same cup he earlier said he cant. ‍other workers out there have always been super good. read more

I love MOD pizza. Always great food for the price. However, we walked in at 9pm (they close at 10pm) and prepared our orders ahead of time knowing how it feels when people order an hour before you close. I kid you not, I walk in and the lady behind the counter groaned and rolled her eyes. A little shocked, I asked if I could still order. She said yes in the most discouraging voice I've heard and proceeded to make the pizza. The other gentleman with her seemed nice enough, but if I weren't hungry, I would've upped and left. Again, I've been on their end so they may have had a hard shift and couldn't wait to get home, but as a customer, I felt really bad. Other MOD branches always have really nice associates though! And their food is always great. read more

Who is giving this location more than 1 Star?!?! Terrible workers!! I was observing everyone behind the counter. Inept! If I order a salad and there's barely any greens, the rest is sitting in water, don't you know to get more? I don't want to finish the container. Dried arugula, too?! One and done. read more

I have been here several times and always had a good experience. Pizza is affordable and taste pretty good, crust is nice and crispy. Love the beverage options too! They have a selection of different ice teas and lemonade. The staff has always provide me with wonderful customer service. read more

First time visit at around 3:30 on a Friday afternoon. 2 employees working that I could see. Only one family was eating outside, no one inside. The place was so dirty. Every table and I mean every table was dirty. Food remnants and spilt drink all over. The area where you get your drinks hadn't been wiped down in so long the dried tea stains were visible and wet everywhere. There were still a few straws and napkins left, that was a plus. The trash can was overflowing to the point tossed out pizza boxes were flowing onto the drink counter area. Grabbed some napkins and wet them with water to clean a table outside. Almost every table outside was dirty as well. So dirty that I couldn't scrub off whatever had been left because it was dried on. I don't mind wiping up a mess, but the whole place was dirty. No one wants to eat in someone else's spilt food. I heard another woman complaining how dirty it was after we had sat down. The food was alright. Got a MOD bbq chicken pizza. The bbq sauce is tasty. The toppings could have been applied better and more of. The toppings were bunched up in spots so one slice had no chicken. But it was good. Also got a MOD meat lover. It was ok, the sausage was a bit gamey. Otherwise the sauce tasted good and enough cheese. The dressing for the salad wasn't cold. The staff was polite. Better luck next time maybe. read more

Wasn't impressed. The service was so so. Asked for the advertised dipping sauce and it was like instantaneously forgotten by the employee as I stood there like a dummy for a couple minutes and gave up. Food was mediocre. Place was pretty dirty for being less than a couple months old. There were too many employees there for it to look like that. Blaze is better. Pieology is better. read more

Pretty bland pizza compared to similar build your own pizza franchises. Last time I was there my order was mixed up with someone else and I didn't realize until I took a bite. Once I realized I went to the counter and the woman working had an attitude with me about having the wrong pizza when she gave it to me and my name was on the paper! I won't be back because not only was the food subpar but the employees were all pretty rude. I suggest blaze instead. read more

Don't even bother if you're gluten free. They say "gluten friendly" dough but they make no effort to use separate trays or change gloves etc. The reasoning was given "well, there's gluten in the air". Hmmm. Blaze at least tries, which I appreciate. Not again. Not worth it. Why have a gf crust without the service and courtesy to back it up? read more

My husband and I just dropped by this Mod pizza on our way to Sacramento from the South Bay. We stopped by this Mod Pizza despite the poor reviews because we generally love this pizza. I must say that the staff were super friendly, considerate, and patient and the pizza was great as usual! I asked one of the staff about their poor Yelp reviews and the fact that I was surprised! I was told that this place has been open for only 2-3 months and they're working hard to compensate the initial shortcomings at the time of their grand opening! And i believe they're doing a fantastic job! I totally recommend this place. read more

Places an order after 20 min Spoke with manager to say I was in car waiting ,she said pizza was being made now. I had to go in cause after 20 more min no pizza. Wish I hadn't included a tip. She could of told me it's gunna be longer. Clearly it wasn't being made. Because she had just started putting my pizza in the oven when I went inside. What's the purpose of ordering online? The food was great and the service was perfect. I had the Caspian (added Spinach and bacon) which was delicious. I also had the marionberry milkshake, which has me questioning why anyone would ever want any other flavor. Excellent food on top of Allen's service made my first visit great. read more

been there twice this past week since we are working on opening up our location there in the same shopping center. I was not necessarily trilled to try it since the one other time we tried the concept with my wife and kids had a pretty bad experience at the Vallejo location but service was great during both of my visits here, first time we were a group of 7 and they were fast. Second time i waited a bit more but nothing crazy. ppl need to relax a bit and give the crew some more time to get it together and stop being so judgmental. Good job guys. read more

When I visited Mod Pizza in Concord it was my first experience with Mod. The store is kinda like subway in that you can tell them what you want on your pizza, and they will make it right in front of you. It is much faster than waiting for a pizza from Papa Murphy's. They have some classics you can chose from if your not sure what you want. The people were friendly and despite being a little crowded I didn't have to wait very long for my pizza. It's really cool how you can watch them cook the pizza in the oven. I give them bonus points for not charging people for sauces on the side. Its always annoying to have to fish for a quarter to buy sauces at some restaurants. When I was walking to my table after picking up my pizza I stepped on my shoelace and accidentally dropped my pizza. Thankfully it landed on the bottom and I picked it up. I would have eaten it anyway's because I hate wasting food, plus it didnt look too bad but the manager offered to make me another pizza free of charge. I left full and satisfied! 5 Stars! read more

It was my best friends younger twin sisters birthday, and we wanted to take them out, but didnt know where to go. We kept suggesting some where in San Francisco. The twins kept insisting we check out this MOD pizza spot. It is local, great parking, simple directions. We did not know you could costomize your own pizza in so manny intricately yummy ways! We had an amazing time and there was one employee in perticular who had the the greatest customer service I have ever seen in all my years of being in the food industry! However, we decided to give the concord one a try. I am so glad I did! I had ordered a pineapple and olive pizza and my boyfriend got his meat pizza. Man kills me sometimes. Anyways, the staff was so warm and friendly. Our service was pretty fast we did not wait very long. While we were you can tell everyone around really felt a welcome vibe. First time at MOD pizza and I had an incredible experience! I came in exhausted and didn't want to cook and the staff instantly changed my mood around. As soon as my mom and I walked in they were lively and energetic and gave us an instant welcoming! Both my mom and I had no idea what we were doing and David and Bernard were patient and fun as we added every ingredient to our pizza. They even gave us samples of things we wanted to taste! Even the cashier Brooklynn greeted us by name as he rang up our order. The rest of the staff (Allen, Kris, Joe, Sal, Alcides and CiCi) even checked in on us to make sure our pizza was cooked to perfection! Very Impressed. I came in after seeing a movie and the was greeted with smiling faces. They seemed to be understaffed at the moment but that did not stop them from being quick on their feet.
