I looked online to see their menu and saw they have an order system. I navigated the site to place my order and was quoted 14min to pick up. I arrived on time and my order was still in line. They did have a line to the door so they were busy. I waited for about 10 min and my order was ready. I got the personal sized pepperoni pizza and red velvet cake. Came to MOD Pizza on a Wednesday evening. There was a long wait from what it appeared to be an understaffing issue. Three people got tired of waiting and left. Two people in our party went somewhere else and two of us stayed to eat. The pizza was alright. It got overcooked which was disappointing. We had been here before and the food was better. The inside of the restaurant was cold. The restaurant can save some money if they turn the AC up 10 degrees. With that money, they should hire additional staff members. Okay so, parking is not fun. Mod pizza shares parking with multiple businesses, one of them being Trader Joe's. So parking was a headache. As you walk in, it's very open and spacious. There is a large wall menu that you can look at before you order. It's kinda like subway, you walk up and order and they make the pizza in front of you. Kinda neat actually. You pick and choose what you want on your pizza. I had my pizza within 10 minutes of ordering. Fast, I liked that! There is only one size pizza, it's a personal size pizza for one person. When you first look at the pizza, you think it's kind of small but by the time you're eating it, it's rather filling. They have a self serve soda machine. I wasn't sure what to expect when I came into this MOD Pizza but I am so glad I did. I got a make your own pizza and it was delicious. Plus and most importantly, Audra, Ethan and Mason were the folks who served / helped me and they were incredibly kind. They went the extra mile to check some ingredients for me and met me with smiles and patience even though they didn't have to. Glad I came here. Pretty disappointed with this particular Mod location. I visited while traveling and the mobile order took 20 min longer than quoted (40 minutes total from time of order to when I received my pizza) , multiple walk in's received pizzas before I received the mobile order I placed 20 min prior to arrival. The plates I was offered to eat on were dirty x 2 then when one staff member went to clean a plate for me a second staff member came over and loudly proclaimed that the plates are all already clean. She was not open to hearing that my plate had brown gunk on it x 2. She was probably loud because she couldn't hear me with her AirPod in. read more

I have never received the worst service, I was waiting for my food and when they put my pizza in the oven they messed it up and tried to cover it up thinking I was not looking, I continued to ask for it to get remade and this girl with purple hair decided to roll her eyes and give me attitude, once I gave them my order again, the purple hair girl decided to go and talk crap about me to her coworkers right in front of me not to mention they were all on their phones. I ordered a tomato and basil pizza and asked for double tomatoes, and double onions. I also asked it to be well done. Instead, I get a normally cooked pizza with Lyttle to no basil a few onions, and no extra tomatoes. Wasn't super tasty. I got a pizza with chicken and bacon. My chicken pieces were full of tendons and gristle and my bacon was all fatty flavorless pieces. I take my pizza very seriously. And this is seriously good pizza. One of the best chain, fast casual pizza places out there. This location and chain is new to the Boise area...my 14 year old daughter was so so so excited that we landed one here. We've eaten at MOD in other cities and states and it's so good. A couple things....get the mega dough, it's just a little bit more price wise, but it's a great option, especially if you're going to share your pie. Another is....pile it on. You can add as much as you want with make your own at no extra charge. And if you see from my photos, add the broccoli. At first I was like, broccoli on pizza?! My friends Mike and Michele are discerning eaters and they told me MOD is a decent pie. I had never been and suddenly it was "right there" in front of me so I decided to give it a whirl. I tried their cauliflower crust with anchovies, olives and green peppers. Not bad, not bad at all. I really like their cauliflower crust very thin and very crispy. Their location on Capitol is pretty new, so be kind and give these folks a chance to find their groove. I found that all the staff was kind and worked well together. They were even were happy to accommodate my anchovy "ask". The Anchovies were not prepped and on the bar yet and but they made it happen. They offer 30 toppings and several salads to chose from., so I would say they probably have something for everyone. The serving format is just like Subway; you move along the prep counter and they do your bidding. I arrived right on the cusp of the traditional lunch hour. By the time I had my pizza, the line was a half dozen deep, so I expect the lunch crowd won't breeze through as quickly as I did. Parking I know is challenging in the lot they share with Trader Joes et al. So keep in mind that finding a spot right beside the restaurant, at peak eating times, could be challenging. read more

We always build our own and make them extra crazy - so this spot is a must if you always feel bad making the pizza crew make you the perfect, insane ass za. Staff was super friendly and everything was COVID proof. Spaced out tables, masks, etc. I do wish their beer choose was better. In general as a chain they could use actual taps with an array of beer. I have to say our experience was extremely positive! The staff was super nice and helpful and the pizza itself was tasty! Being a chain that I wasn't super familiar with I needed some direction but after I knew that all toppings are free....yes.... you heard me, all toppings are free!! But listen at that point you have to decide, what happens if I pile everything so high that there's not a crust in sight? Hmm. This place will be on my list for another visit. Straight up, my favorite thing here is that there are toppings to customize, which is free to add-on. No 50 cent bulls*** fee for extra toppings here... you want more of a topping, just ask for it and it's free. It's like Subway, just with pizza. You can customize or choose one of their ideas for pizzas. There is also salads, but I'm just here for pizza to be honest. 3 options for crusts: -6 inch Kids Size (I believe its thin crust, don't take my word) for $6 - 11 inch Size (thin crust, I think) for $8 - 11 inch Thick Crust for $10 I ended up choosing the Mad Dog pizza with the 11' Thick Crust. There was initially three toppings on that idea but we were able to add more if we wanted to. We ended up having ten toppings at no extra cost. After the employees finished assembling my customized pizza, it went into the the traditional pizza over with the fire inside it. (If you are wondering, they can put toppings on half/quarter of a side) I got the pizza about 7-8 minutes later, hot and ready to eat. The appearance size is almost like a medium pizza at Domino's if you are looking to compare. You are able to ask for ranch and other sauces to accompany your pizza, just make sure to specify if you want it ON THE PIZZA or TO THE SIDE. No extra cost as well. Near the fountain drinks area, theres a station for more toppings like parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, chili pepper flakes, and Sriracha to put on your pizza. My pizza was cut into six equal sizes. The crust was thicc as promised. The cheese was all melted evenly and it passed the "stretchy cheese" test for my pizza as I pulled a slice out (I asked for extra cheese so maybe that's why idk). Overall, the taste was wonderful with my selection of toppings. The crust was very nice since it was crispy and chewy. Nothing was really wrong with this pizza, everything tasted just what I imagined. This 11 inch pie is shareable; it filled up my girlfriend and I. Employees were very thoughtful and helpful since it was my first time in. Manager (I believe) came around and assured if everything was alright. Generally good pizza but it varies. In the last 6 months it seems like the crust has gotten thinner and their cooking them longer for a cracker-like crust, no my favorite whereas before I preferred them. Today my experience was just too slow. It took me 35 minutes from getting in line to pizza delivery. There were only three I. Front of me. And my pizza sat on the table after the oven for a significant amount of time before then calling. You know how I know? Because the line is really slow and the two individual orders behind me (both single customers) were also called at the same time. Each one has to have been 2 minutes behind the previous based on how slow they are in getting the pizza made. As previously stated the people skills are poor here. Seems like pulling teeth to get any eye contact or interaction. I don't know if it's a sucky place to work or what but two times now I've seen workers angry in doing their job. I am incredibly upset with my service at Mod Pizza. I ordered online. Waited 50 minutes for my pizza, which defeats the purpose of ordering online. Once my pizza was delivered, it was not on the Gluten Free crust. I am glad I asked and double checked before leaving, because it was a normal pizza crust and I have an extreme gluten sensitivity. After telling the staff, they made me another pizza, increasing the wait time. When they got ready to slice the pizza, they used the same pizza slicer as the normal pizza, again defeating the entire purpose. Needless to say, I did NOT eat my pizza that I paid for, because I do not trust the process that was taken and had to avoid getting SERIOUSLY sick from your pizza. We finally had the chance to check out the MOD Pizza craze. We had family in town for the Thanksgiving holiday and decided on Mod Pizza for a quick lunch on our way to Festival of Trees. Some of our family members used to own a pizza restaurant so it's always fun to see what they think. The staff was friendly and helpful teaching us how it works and moved us through the line rather quickly. You pick a size and get unlimited toppings... now that I've had it I'd suggest less toppings. This is a thin crust pizza and I felt that I overloaded mine making it kind of soggy and hard to eat. We also ordered a side salad and a milkshake to try and they did not disappoint. We enjoyed the experience much better than similar pizza franchises in the area and look forward to trying their other locations. read more

I had to try this place after reading the reviews. First, yes you get as many toppings as you want for one price! Great deal! Second, the staff is really nice and hard working. I got a modified MOD classic pizza on cauliflower crust and it was really good - especially for the price. The only reason I can't give this location 5 stars is because of the architecture and noise level. It's just really loud with the high ceilings and music and lunch crowd. I had a hard time talking to the young man making my pizza but he did a good job. Since you can't hear them call names, best to keep an eye on who was in line before you and when they get their pizza, go stand by the pick-up counter because yours will be ready soon. Also. I wish they had more red pepper shakers for the tables. Super busy at noon so either get there early or expect a little wait. read more
