I wanted a simple natural looking french, he recommend Gel-X, i have never had this done before & i let him know that. He didn't really offer an explanation, i asked questions & he kind of answered them but was a bit dismissive. During the process of him applying the nails, gel touched my skin multiple times (i am severely afraid of contact dermatitis) & let him know id prefer if he doesn't touch my skin with gel but he continued to. He would use literal GLOBS of gel to adhere the fake nail. the whole appointment i let him know they are way too thick & he said he's be filing at the end which would thin them out. That never happened. I paid over $100 to hate my nails. After sleeping on it i decided to get them removed the next day. I did go back & got them removed & redone (loved how they turned out) HOWEVER MY NATURAL nails are destroyedddddd it's been a couple months but my nails still have the Red ring Of fire & it's probably gonna be months to have them back to 100% healthy. Will not be returning sadly ):

Been here many times before for my own engagement and wedding nails and was happy. But this time was beyond upset. She made me bleed, she couldn't even do a simple nail design I showed her. Some nails thick, the side showing my nails. She did zero cuticle prep. Didnt bother to trim my nails or clean prior. What attracted me to this salon was the fact that it was a one-person business. I'm always reluctant to try a new place because satisfaction is subjective based on who is providing the service. Liz shares space with a cute kid's hair salon in a residential area of Redondo Beach. I've lived here for years and never passed by, even though it's so close I could walk over. I decided to have Liz clean up my brows, and she did a great job. I also had a spa pedicure and am pleased with her work. I didn't feel rushed at all and as other reviewers said, she's very meticulous. I'm glad I found Liz on Yelp and am happy to add another 5-Star review for her services. I'll be back!

I've known Liz for many years, back when she was at Nancy Nails in Hermosa. I always liked Liz, but…read morebecause I'd been one of Nancy's customers, didn't want to upset the apple cart. After Nancy lost my business for good a few years ago, I went elsewhere, but when that salon was taken over and went downhill, I pinged my friend (who was still with Liz) to find out about her new salon. I came on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy with kids getting haircuts, but I was still able to chill out in the awesome spa chair. Liz did an amazing job as always--she is very focused on quality and it really shows. Keep in mind I live in Playa, so there are plenty of places closer that I could go. But Liz does a great job, genuinely cares for her customers and knows how to run a business. I am so happy I was able to go back to a familiar face and get an awesome mani/pedi. Liz is the best... go see her, you won't be disappointed!

The interior is luxurious and spacious with high ceilings and a second floor (though I'm not sure what's on the second floor). I held off on getting a pedicure because they're so expensive these days but I caved in because I'm too pregnant to care for my own toenails currently! Bending down is hard so it was definitely nice to get pampered. The gel pedicure was $45 which was cheaper than another place I looked up nearby. This was for the classic gel pedicure which had a leg massage with lotion at the end. I chose a sparkly red color and liked it. Chrome or jelly colors are an extra $25. I had a hangnail situation that the nail technician, Lynn, fixed without me having to point it out. The bad: Their price menu list had some typos. The interesting: They have their Halloween decor up still. They had cute and unique wall sconces that looked like birds. Kids manicure prices listed said it was for age 6 and under.

I asked for a specific nail design for the World Cup, and Tullia totally delivered. She is so sweet and detail oriented. She obviously takes pride in what she does because she was so meticulous in her work and the result exceeded my expectations. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and told her it didn't have to be exact, but she made sure it came out just like the photo and checked with me every step of the way to make sure I was happy with the progress. I don't do nails too often, usually because the choices are overwhelming sometimes, but she made the process so easy and comfortable. Salon is clean, comfortable, with free parking. Other ladies are super nice too, Jenny helped me with my pedicure. Price seemed really fair, she spent close to 2 hours on my nails, and for that much time and effort, I think it was very affordable. They have a frequent user program too, with a rewards card. I plan on coming here for all my mani/pedi moving forward. Thank you Tullia for your beautiful work!

They were able to squeeze me in for an appointment and proposed an hour later than I suggested, which I respect as it shows they were mindful with timing of other appointments. I am so used to my spots close to home (DTLA) that I've forgotten how much calmer an experience can be outside of the city. Even as I stumbled in a little frazzled because I was 5ish minutes late due to traffic, Jamie (who I believe is the manager?) instantly calmed my nerves with her energy. I love that parking is plentiful. Pedicure was done with care (thanks Wendy). My gel manicure was a highlight for sure. Hanna was the best. From the jump, even the small but sweet personal gestures stood out, like her noticing me reading my Kindle and bringing over a stand to make it easier for me. The manicure itself was so well done: went from month-long scraggly claws to immaculately-shaped, perfectly-polished hands. I marveled at her care/detail: from the cuticles, to even underneath my nail (where I had noticed some bits of annoying skin prior to my arrival, which she gently clipped away). I don't usually fall for upsells but the way she thoughtfully proposed a paraffin wax for my very dry hands swayed me with minimal pressure. A $10 add-on well worth it- came with a hand/arm massage as well. Altogether less than $100 (for a level 2 pedicure and gel manicure). I'm honestly considering commuting all this way to get my nail services going forward!

I did a gel polish change that should be $25+, was charged $37 (random number to land on) only for it to be the wrong shape and color. The texture on my left hand is also botched from brush strokes. I was very okay with the color being wrong (asked for the pastel) and still love the color she ended up doing since it is my usual go to -- bubble bunny and funny bunny. However to find out the price was $37 was very odd for a gel polish change, no manicure... For the pedicure I had 2 different ladies that worked on it (switched midway through) and she ended up doing an additional coat of funny bunny and the color was outside the nail bed so she ended up using the drill to remove the access... pretty painful (,: Will I still come back?
