Horrible management - I made an appointment for 10:30 a.m. to have a mani-pedi. When I sat down for the pedicure they said they didn't have anyone available to do my manicure at the same time because they had to serve the customers walking in first. I have been here twice. The first time not a horrible experience. I got there about 930 and they opened at 9. I had to wait about 10 mins for another nail tech to arrive to do my nails. She did a decent job. The second visit was horrible. I got a shellac manicure and the nail tech cut so much off my cuticles I started bleeding on three of my fingers. She did not use a base coat. Two days later one of nails were already chipping. They ensure two weeks with a manicure but I do not even want to go back to get my nail fixed after that experience. read more

Good technicians but the amount of gossiping and using the guise of a foreign to quite obviously make fun of their clients got to be too much! At times it turns into a loud cackling session leaving clients out of the joke as often they are unknowingly the butt of the joke. If you speak a foreign language, watch what you say... My shellac always lasts me at LEAST 2 weeks (and I am very hard on them). I randomly got Tracy a few times and have since requested her, although have not had a bad experience with anyone there. WOW! I am soo thankful to have found MOD! I drive 45 mins just to come to MOD because of the cleanliness, excellent service, products and professionalism of every single member of MOD's team. Because of my business, I have lived all over the country and I was thrilled to find MOD which is unlike any nail spa I have been to. EXCELLENT service all around and they utilize clean and sterilized sealed utensils, files and buffers with each client. My pedicure is impeccable and my nails are always done perfectly. The spa itself is reasonably large from the outside looking in. There is a large amount of seating. This is the end of the positive things that I can say about Mod Nails. I scheduled an appointment for 4 pedicures for Mother's Day. When we arrived at the appointment time, we were told to wait a few minutes, as they were currently full, which is fine. After waiting 15 minutes, they had finally had 2 spots open up, which 2 of the group took. Fast forward 10 more minutes, one more spot has opened up, with the promise of the last spot being available momentarily. Unfortunately, the fourth spot wasn't available for another 10 minutes after that, at which point the first pair were already nearly done. For the confusion and lack of respect of people's time alone, I'd recommend avoiding this place for large group appointments. If you are alone, it's probably fine. I've had much better luck at other local places, and wouldn't spend the time coming back to mod again. read more

I normally like this place but today not the case. I normally have Diana take care of everything but not today. Lee did my nails and I was not impressed. The worst part of my visit was while he was doing my nails he raised his has to the lady doing my feet as if he was going to slap her in the face. She even turned her face to wipe her eyes as if she was about to cry. This is a place of business and no ONE should act or be treated this way. I don't care if you are playing around or not! On top of that he talked to me like I didn't know what I was talking about, he cut one cuticles to far back and he did not file my nails back after they were dipped. I have been a customer of this location since 2015. When I moved to Spring, this was the first place I went to and it is the ONLY place I will go to. Even though I recently purchased a house that is a little further away, I am still willing to drive the extra distance to come here. The atmosphere is friendly, I am always greeted at the door, the staff are very nice. Julie is my normal lady to do my nails but if she is not available, whomever takes me does a good job. Tom is fantastic for pedicures. They are all good but he is the only one who hits your pressure points on your feet. Feel phenomenal! I love this place and have recommended them to many of my friends who live in the area. If you have a favorite nail person, I recommend calling and getting an appointment but pretty much any one you get is going to be good, if you do a walk in. A+ rating! read more

Nina did a great job on my pedicure. I wasn't sure if the gal that did my Gel Manicure, but she was great too. As a side note, I was surprised to see Lexor Pedicure Spa Chairs. I went in for a polish change and will never return. You would think if you pay 40.00 for a nail and toe polish change it would last more than 2 days. When I told the lady to please make sure the paint was thin bc it will lift she didn't seem to care and caked the polish on. I've been going to Mod for the past year, and it's the only place I go. The first thing you'll notice is the lack of that strong smell most places have. Their beautiful salon has high ceilings and good ventilation that keeps it completely odorless. They also have a nice sound system that plays good, relaxing music. On top of all that, they also do amazing jobs! Tiffani and Tina are great! Their shellac always lasts 3 weeks on me (and I'm a picker and a biter!) They take their time and are so personable; they love to joke around and make you feel very comfortable. I love these girls! Julie left my nails terrible. You can see the paint on the sides and one of the nails weren't even painted correctly. Very disappointed.

The first time I visited it was great and since then it is has been awful. I specifically give them instructions about how I want my nails done and they do the opposite and charge you close to what full set should be . I explained to the nail that I did not like them I guess she got angry and spoke their language where you hear them and then I was overcharged. I had a great experience today at Mod Nails......everyone there is so nice and so good! Amy did a fantastic job on my shellac pedicure! I also decided to do the eyebrow microblading and upper eyelid liner while I was there..... first time ever to have microblading done so I was a bit concerned.....Julie couldn't have done a better job! And for those of you that fear it will be painful...... if I can do it you can! It really wasn't bad at all .... only took about 45 minutes ( I think?!?) nonetheless it was waaay easier than I thought it would be. That's why I decided to do the upper eye liner at the same time!!! The liner took a little longer but even less pain than the eyebrows! So thrilled with the outcome..... Julie was wonderful.... This place is dirty and horrible. I think Bender's Landing could have at least put a clean nail place in front of the subdivision but this is not the case. They re-use their paper products on clients and they aren't sanitary. They are unprofessional and rude. I will have to drive further to get my nails done. read more

DIRTY SALON BEWARE: I went to this salon for quite a while, I even brought my whole family for pedicures when they visited from California. Most of the staff are great. There IS a lot of foreign chit chat going on all the time which makes you wonder what they're saying.. However, they are nice people and the regular staff did a great job on my nails. Eventually I started having Tina, the manager do my nails. I started to notice after six months or so that she was not using tools that were freshly wrapped in paper. I should have said something...and very foolishly didn't. Sure enough, I caught the most horrible nail fungus on all 10 of my nails...I'm still dealing with it. She must have seen the beginning of the infection developing... and didn't warn me about it....or even tell me how to clear it up, she just ignored it and sent me on my way. I don't know about you, but cleanliness and safety is paramount to me. I will never go back there for any reason - that's major negligence! Not pleased with the service at all. Spent about 80 bucks on a pedicure which was Shellac. A few days later the shellac slowely began turning brown!? I only wear thong flip flops and if I wear closed toe shoes I have on socks. Anyhow I called them and all they said was thanks for letting us know. After she tried to give me a 1000 reasons of why it could be my fault! The least they should have done was offered to redo the color. I had a bad feeling when I went in. I have been going to MOD for several years now and it was alright, but nothing magnificent, but I went a couple days ago and let me tell you......IT WAS THE BEST TREATMENT I've ever had a nail salon. While sitting there, I found out it was new management. The owner and her daughter are sweet as can be. Kim did my pedicure and Kathy did my nails. I even told my husband that I actually felt like I was at a relaxing spa, getting pampered. The music was great!! I asked them what Pandora station it was, so I could listen to it after I left. They did a little bit of remodeling. They made a mini bar in there and they now have several different salts and masks to chose from. The water and the wax was not steaming hot. It was just perfect. I actually felt comfortable telling them if I wanted this or that. The massage while getting the pedicure felt GREAT; best one I've had in forever. Their prices did not go up since the new owners took over and I like how they have the salt/mask bar in the middle, so you're not staring directly across at the other customers anymore. You actually feel like you get some privacy now. Oh and not to mention, the girl at the front desk was very friendly and offered me different options. They do nail dipping and I've never had that before and I LOVE it. I can't believe how many colors they have to chose from. Even my husband said he LOVED my nails and my toes look SO cute, I must say. Kim did awesome art work. I even messed my toe up and she didn't make me feel bad at all. She was happy to fix it. I have been going to Mod Nails for almost 2 years and they are GREAT! In almost 2 years, I have never seen them use any paper products or reuse products. Their tools are sanitized and everything is always clean. Tiffani is wonderful, but all their techs are good. Some of the techs are young, but they do great work. They do not have a high turn over and most of the techs have been there since I started going. They guarantee their work and back it up. If you have any concerns, just talk to Tina or Tiffani and they will make it right. Every once in a while, they do get busy and backed up and I may have to wait a bit, but what salon does not have that happen every once in a while? Mod nails is worth the occasional wait. I'd rather plan to be there an extra 20/30 minutes than go to another salon. They do make sure they take their appointments on time and try to take walk-ins timely. I like that they focus and give attention to their appointment customers and know the value of Customer Service rewarding their regular customers with that timely service. All I can say is I love love love this place! Amazing color selection and the customer service is to die for. True pampering experience. Friendly staff and very clean and welcoming environment. I really don't know why this was my first visit and Ive been in Texas two years already smh shame on me. I live in Katy and I won't even think twice about taking that drive to Spring! Its more than worth it. I'm still in owe and that had to be at least two weeks ago and my nails are still perfect. I got powder which usually last long but this is like I just got it done yesterday minus the new growth. Oh yeah I had a really bad pedicure and it left me with an ingrown toenail that had been giving me problems for months. I went to Mod and Tiffany or Diane(not sure of their names, sorry) got it out with not problem. Thats really hard to do and most salons usually make it worst for me but I haven't had pain since !!!!!!!!! I love this place I wanna just go for the hell of it even though Im not even due. Its a little on the higher end but I still think its worth it. They had a book full of pedicure options. I couldn't believe it. They really had it together. if i could give less than 1star i would. horrible salon. dont waste your time or clear your day and be prepared to sit and wait. because i live so close by i have given them two chances to redeem themselves but they have the slowest and worse nail salon i have ever been to. the girls are too busy gossiping to pay attention to their clients. i always experience them having many conversations in english about other clients in front of me. they will repeatedly stop doing your nails and drop your hand or foot to have their little girl talk. there is no sense of urgency or professionalism. however they do rollout the red carpet for their regulars and anyone else unfamiliar to them will definitely be forgotten about. i spent three hours trying to get a mani pedi that was repeatedly interrupted. the girls played musical chairs promising me they would be right with me...although these girls speak perfect english they are super young like high school teenagers or college and many of them are very inexperienced. the owner walks around shouting instructions to them. after sitting in a pedi chair for 1 hour i was moved to the mani chair waiting for 30mins she finally came over to take off my polish and began the mani tht someone else left me. i was cut too deeply on my cuticles three times during my manicure and began bleeding. i couldn't take it anymore after 2+ hrs i was OVer IT! and i asked her to just file them and finish me up. the owner still tried to charge for a manicure that never happened.saying that she said she was sorry and it happens all the time. she got an attitude and argued me down on how she can refuse to serve me next time. i advised her not to worry as i would never return to such an awful place. not to mention the pedi i received was sloppy and filed unevenly and began to rub off later that day. i recently moved to the area with my company and was hoping to find a nail salon to frequent. this was a nightmare and i will make sure all my colleagues moving in town will avoid this ridiculous place. at this point im still on the hunt for a nice salon.... read more
