So I'm making this review after being one of the first customers on opening day and just going to the store again today. Pros: Flavor and texture are great. As the only spot in Rochester, this is quite good on having a variety of flavors rotating weekly. Wish they had some staple flavors and that the donuts were made to order but that's okay. I do appreciate the unique flavors they offer. The ambience is nice to hang out. They do offer WiFi in the store and the password is near the main cash register Cons: Service has not been great. It's something that will greatly change the experience. Both times I've been there the staff do not work efficiently. The orders of just donuts should take a minute or two. However, I believe they operate to complete the order and move to the next. The cash register prompts to give gratuity but the staff really don't do much besides take your order. The Ube boba has a weird aftertaste. And the cup (though cool) isn't great for navigating to get all the boba. Overall, I really want this place to thrive here. With a better plan for a more efficient operation, I would definitely rate this higher. read more

Shocked by the poor reviews - we just went here today mid day and we were met with smiles by the staff and no line! The place was very cute; I loved the bright and airy decor. The donuts looked so fresh and there was a huge variety. I know some of the reviews on their corn dogs and bubble tea are mixed. I didn't try either. However, I will say that whenever I go to a place, I tend to get what it's most known for. Mochinut is known for their donuts, so I got a 12 pack of donuts to-go. There was no wait when I went. We took them home and they tasted sooo delicious and fresh - on par with mochi donuts I've had in the Twin Cities. Absolutely loved them. My favorite flavors that I've tried so far are the Strawberry and Oreo - but you really can't go wrong. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be getting more in the future. read more

Mochinut opened this past week and sells novelty Asian snack foods including mochi donuts, Korean hotdogs, and bubble tea. The store is nicely renovated and has a decent amount of seating for those who want to eat there. Lines were longer but moved fairly efficiently and it took 5-10 mins for food to come out depending on what you ordered (hotdogs took the longest). The Korean hotdog options include hot dog only filling, cheese only filling, or half and half (my pick). The breading options range from original to crispy ramen coating to coating w Cheeto powder. I loved the contrast of the crispy ramen to the chewy rice flour coating. The others were good as well. The true mark of a good Korean hotdog is how well the cheese pulls and (see pic) this one did not disappoint. A solid Korean hotdog. The mochi donuts only come in one flavor batter w different glazes and toppings which is nice. Texture is what it should be. Hopefully they can have more batters in the future (or maybe they ran out by noon). The drinks are fine, tasted good. Overall this is a nice addition to increase the diversity of our restaurant offerings, tastes authentic and is well made. read more

Yelp has incorrect hours posted. Google has correct hours. I also called, and yes, they are open on Tuesdays. I had my first Korean corn dog and mochi donuts at Asia Mall in Eden Prairie. Mochi Donuts are 6 for $18. I ordered smores, strawberry, matcha tiramisu, black sesame, oreo, and lavender. I like mochi donuts, as you can tear off a little circle and just eat a little. Rice flour gives a light puffy texture, not as dense as American donuts. Ordering at the counter and paying by card is another forced tip situation. He just called me up to get. The Korean corn dog I chose was half cheese and hot dog and potato topping. I was underwhelmed, compared to Cruncheese. There were other toppings such as ramen, cereal, and hot cheetos. Seemed the other location rolled it in parmesan cheese, too. I picked ketchup, spicy mayo, and honey mustard to dip in. The top part was melted mozzarella cheese. This didn't really need sauce. Next time, I'll just stick with mochi donuts. read more

I got the regular hot dog, and I was pretty disappointed about how bland it was. It just had very little flavor at all and probably could have used some salt. I would rather have a corn dog from the mall. The mochi donuts cost almost three times what a regular donut costs at other places, and they do not taste as good. The mochinuts are chewy and less sweet. I prefer the lighter texture of a regular donut to mochinuts. My kids didn't like them either. I tried the churro flavor and the marshmallow flavor. I thought the churro flavor was decent, but not as good as an actual churro either. As for service, I went on a Saturday at lunch time and I thought the wait time was acceptable. The machine does pretty much make you leave a tip as another reviewer complained about, and the girls working there were not particularly nice. read more

The donuts are definitely great however 3 donuts for 10$ is on the more expensive side but it is mochi so I can understand it cost more to make them. The drinks were good don't really care for the popping balls in my drink the after taste was weird personally for me and I usually like them. Got the motz potato as well and it is good but very bland, no salt or seasoning which could make it 10X better. They were very friendly and efficient as it was busy and just 20 min before closing. read more

New place in town and my wife and I were excited to try, particularly the Instagram worthy hotdogs. We also got a boba tea. We did not get the donuts but definitely noticed the prices. At over 3$ for a small donut, it seems pretty steep. As far as the tea goes it was good, no real complaints there. It came out fast. The hot dogs however took considerably longer. The place wasn't particularly busy when we came by but we still waited about 15 minutes after placing our order which seemed a bit long for a fast casual place that wasn't busy. We got the half and half potato dog and it was tasty. Good selection of sauces as well. The restaurant has good seating and had music playing over the speakers which was nice as we ate our food at the restaurant. The trash can was very overflowed and due to be changed. Overall, it was worth the try and everything tasted good, but I wouldn't want to wait for it again, especially if it was busier. read more

I have been to quite a few different Mochinut locations and this was the first one where I felt like Woah, this is what a mochi donut is supposed to taste like. The texture was so on point and had mochi chew so I was impressed with this location. I got the marshmallow flavor (could have done without the purple sparkle on top of the marshmallow cream). Although the name is Mochinut, this place definitely is more than just a donut joint. I was first skeptical of the potato corn dogs, but I was proven wrong in my skepticism as they're wonderful! Who would have thought eating hash browns and corn dogs at the same time can be such a special experience?! Firstly, the donuts were great! The flavor was fantastic and the texture is exactly what you want in a mochi donut. I think there are some people that don't know what a mochi donut is and are surprised by the texture and it ruins their day, but don't review something negatively because of your ignorance. It's in the name! These are extremely flavorful, pillowy and chewy as they should be, something different from all the other donut shops. Also, they just opened. This just opened today and I went and it was not good. The line was out the door when I arrived and it took us 30+ minutes to order. After ordering, it took another 20 minutes to receive our food. The overall environment was cluttered, busy and loud. It smelled like weed and trash. When we finally received our mochinuts and tea, they were gross. The texture was awful and barely had any flavor. The tea came from a bubblr and barely had any tapioca. I do not recommend whatsoever. read more

This was our second time here donuts were great, drink was good and one of the corn dogs was good but the Cheeto corn dog looked to be half raw and falling off the stick couldn't even eat it like a corn dog. They are a new business so I expect some problems and inconsistency but when brought to an employees attention she said she didn't know what it's supposed to be like and didn't help at all. Decided to just come home and air fry the corn dog myself since obviously it was not going to be fixed in store. Understand they are busy and the employees are still learning but some customer service could go a long way. I posted pics of the raman corn dog in comparison to the Cheeto corn dog. When you picked the stick up it was literally falling off and looked uncooked in some places. Also disappointed that they still don't have all the drink options.
