Mochi donuts are better than regular donuts. There! I said it! Although I've never had mochi donuts before going to Mochinut, I've always wanted to try them, so I'm glad this option exists. And it's a good option! I've got no complaints about any of the flavors I got, but my favorite was definitely the plain one.

This is the second mochi donut store in Philadelpha that I visit. I like the fact that they open at ten to enjoy the donuts as breakfast. I suggest that they display their hours by the door. I came in early because they posted on Instagram that there was a long line the day before. Fortunately, there was no one in line. However, the disadvantage of coming in early is the only some varieties were ready. I was told that more would come out in 10 minutes. The girl who helped me wasn't friendly, no welcoming smile at all. I said I would wait but the server packed up the donuts with the kinds that were on the display. What I don't like about the setup of the store is that the donuts are displayed on the side with no labels. So you order on the counter first and you have to ask the selections that are available. There's no list of flavors. What I suggest is to check out the display before ordering. After you place your order, they will give you a number and then call you when it's ready. The eating area is clean and nicely decorated. Besides the donuts, they serve corn dogs, teas, other deserts such as French macarons, tiramisu, cheesecake. My favorite donuts are: chocolate, mango strawberry. The glazed donut has frosting that taste like canned vanilla frosting. Too sweet for me. The others are decent. Those donuts are not greasy.

Mochinut is a chain store for Korean style mochi donut and hot dogs. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The daily selection of mochi donut flavors changes, but there are plenty and easy to find some for everyone. It's freshly made and you can certainly taste it. We especially like the sesame one. It was kind of busy when I went on the Sunday afternoon but the lines move quickly, except if you need the hot dog, which takes 10-15 minutes to make.

My first Korean corn dog and it was delicious! The strawberry fruit tea was refreshing too. The cup is cute but makes getting the boba out of the drink a bit hard!

I always wanted to try them and it was AMAZING! I have very picky family members and they loved them. I would highly recommend trying them A+A+A+A

The outside of the establishment is very modest looking. Borderline boring. But the interior is an Instagram influencers dream! Second only to the delicious food and beverages themselves. I have been wanting a mochi doughnut for months now and Mochinut did not disappoint. I got the three piece special and got the original, the matcha and the guava. The batter and consistency of the doughnuts was exactly what I imagined it would be; fluffy and a little chewy like mochi. They were decorated beautifully and I have to say the guava was my favorite. It was a fun surprise that they also made Korean hot dogs! Something else I wanted to try. They offer half and half dogs so I got the half mozarella which turned out to be a block of mozarella in the top half and a juicy beef hot dog in the bottom half. I also got the potato half and half which meant the outside coating had pieces of French fries in it. I think they might use the doughnut batter to coat the dogs but that was a good choice because the dog itself was light and fluffy and not greasy. The only thing I would have wished is instead of half and half that they wrapped the cheese around the dog but that's purely for selfish cheese loving reasons. Overall, if you have read this far, this will be a regular spot for me now.

Another Mochi Donut Spot in Philly! Came during their grand opening weekend so we got 2 free donuts when we bought a dozen. It's located in a cute neighborhood around Pennslanding so parking is harder to find. Love the array of flavors and and had to try their Korean hotdog & tea too! Definitely a cute date spot with aesthetic decor! PS my fav flavor is black sesame

I am forever changed. This was an amazing corn dog, in all of its iterations. I went back two days in a row. I tried so many donuts. I got the bubble tea. Y'all, it's all just so good.

The decorations on the mochi doughnut themselves are very elaborate, and the taste was just as good. Nice place for dessert.

I found this place online, and was very curious to try! I've always wanted to try Korean donuts, so I was excited to get some to try. When I walked in, the vibes were immediately off. The entire place was empty and silent, there was no music playing. When I asked the cashier questions, she stared at me like I had a third head and only answered yes or no. The interior was kinda cute, but one section of the wall was clearly meant to be photographed for Instagram. I had perused their menu online prior to stopping by, but they didn't have the drink I wanted to try, even though it was heavily advertised on their site's front page. I tried the Nutella, Chocolate, and Cookies N Cream doughnuts. They were okay. They're visually cute, but the taste is meh. They weren't cooked that well, the texture of each donut was weirdly different than the other. The chocolate glaze on the Nutella donut was weirdly wrinkly like it was separating and the texture was off. Whole Foods has better-tasting donuts that are half the price. Maybe if these were cheaper it would be worth it, but as it stands, they're not worth $5 per donut.

The service was okay but I ordered one of the 1. Original Rice Hot Dog and they didn't have ketchup. I ordered some drinks and it taste like sugar water and the tea was very light. The Thai ice tea was good but the tiger sugar tea was just sugar with milk. However, the donuts are tasty and I would go again only for the donuts.

Got the Nutella and brown sugar boba flavors. The nutella one was better in my opinion because the brown sugar boba tasted a little too sweet (but still tasted like boba), but both had a nice mochi texture. This place wasn't too busy and there were plenty of seats if you wanted to dine in.

Jenny L.

Sample of random flavors in half a dozen! Really enjoyed the textures! A bit pricey but definitely would come back.

This place was HUGE. It went on for miles in all directions. There were tons of people filling all the space. It was tight in there. I had to use all my aggressive navigation skills to get around. I was also constantly rubber necking to take in all the food stalls and vendors. I could have spent an entire day there exploring and would have seen maybe a third of what's there. Unfortunately I was only in town for a day, so aside from quickly walking through, I stopped at a bar for a really good cider. Overall, excellent visit and I definitely want to go back!

Cheeses, meats, donuts, ice cream, candies, desserts, coffee, and everything in between to include small rocks and crystals. Realistically you can spend a good 3-4 hours in this market alone. Wandering the aisles, ordering various food options from various vendors and then finding a seat to sit down and enjoy your food. That last part, finding a table to sit down and eat your food could be a bit tricky. When we first arrived at the market it was 9:30 a.m. and we were able to find a seat without much trouble. When we returned to the market for a second time, around 1:30 p.m. it was noticeably more packed inside and I had to do two loops before a table cleared up. There are so many vendors inside you really can't even come close to trying them all in one visit. I would like to come back and try some more places next time. As for parking, I was told to park at the Convention Center parking structure, but when I arrived there was a large sign stating that parking was full. I ended up finding a public parking lot at Commerce & N. 13th St which I parked at, but after 4 hours or so I think it cost me about $50. To be expected, unfortunately, for big city parking.
