The biggest issue is that the quality and portions seem to have slowly declined. I used to love coming here, but lately it feels like they're getting stingier. If you order a float or anything with soft serve, the ice cream portions are noticeably smaller than they used to be. The drinks also seem to have a lot more ice now, which ends up watering down the tea. That's been the biggest disappointment for me because the matcha flavor just isn't as bold as it once was. Because of that, I've found myself going to Matcha Panda around the corner more often. I still stop in here occasionally, but the drinks just haven't been as consistent. To be fair, there are still things I like. The shop is usually clean, and during the summer the air conditioning is amazing. On a hot day, it's honestly one of the nicest places to cool off for a bit. The service has also felt less welcoming lately. I'll admit it could just be that summer gets incredibly busy, but over several visits the interactions have come across as rushed and sometimes a little rude. There always seem to be plenty of people working in the back, so I'm not sure if it's a staffing issue or something else. I genuinely want this place to do well because I remember how much I used to enjoy it. The process was very painless, and everything was delivered on time and as expected. The ladies working there are very nice! The only issue I have is just the fact that these cakes are just not comparable to many that I have had before such as from Paris Baguette or Lady M. After seeing how much sugar they usually add... yeah, definitely specify your sugar level here. The boba itself was good. It's the brown sugar kind, so it has more flavor than the plain ones. My only small complaint is I wish there was more of it. I was being a little picky and counted, and I only got about 12 pearls, not even a full layer at the bottom. I thought about it but didn't want to sample further due to pressure from interacting with the server. I also felt bad for only getting one flavor (corn) after sampling multiple.
