Let me tell you, we were so full because we had Amada earlier, that we could not bring ourselves to order anything, but Scoop Deville is a place to visit. They have something for everyone. They have vegan options, scoops, creations, milk shakes, and banana splits. They also have ice cream cakes, pints, and water or soda if you need that in the humidity. The cashier was friendly as soon as we arrived, greeted us. He saw us looking at the menu and explained their options, what we could create, and what we could also expect from some of the flavors/creations. Our daughter got the Dirtiest Oreo, and our friends ordered a banana split. The Dirtiest Oreo is absolutely worth the price you pay, and the banana split is so loaded, it takes you back to your childhood moments in your kitchen. The staff is great, they were busier with pickup orders than people walking in and getting something to take with them. However, for the size of the shop, their location is great. It isn't too small, there are booths and small tables inside if you want to sit and enjoy your dessert. the staff is nice, they repeat your order back to you, and they brought our order right to us. I usually go to the location in New Jersey but was recently in town for a show and am such a fan of the Haddon Twp location that I had to stop by here too! Their new winter items are amazing - I got the funnel cake sundae and my boyfriend tried their custom edible cookie dough. Maurice told us it's a new product for them - it's so cool how they can take regular chocolate chip cookie dough and turn it into a new cookie dough that in our case tasted like the Take 5 candy bar! To the owner: You wisely hired great, hard-working employees. Eric and Maurice I have met, along with a taller male Black employee (perhaps older than Maurice), and they are all very earnest and eager to make sure that I liked my ice cream. Very polite too. Seeing this across multiple employees helped me to see that their boss/owner knows how to hire the right people. It reminds me of Steve Jobs' quote about hiring "grade-A" people. Because if you hire grade-B people, they will soon make grade-C decisions, with grade-D consequences, and eventually your business will be a grade F. Called grubhub at 10:04pm, told it had been delivered. Asked when? - no idea was the answer. No idea how long items were sitting at front door - no one one rang bell or knocked on the front door, or texted and called the person getting items. No one phoned or texted me and no email stating delivery made. Was it screw-up by grubhub? A screw-up by Yelp system? Store was extra busy? Amazing how many vegan and gluten free options there are on top of everything else here. I'm impressed, this place has it all. Is it really good though? I don't know. I had butter pecan and strawberry lemon strawberry cheesecake. The butter pecan isn't as good and buttery compared to most places. It tasted almost chemically and sandy. The other flavor tasted like Skittles with cheesecake chunks. When I ordered slices of cake here during the pandemic, it was really good. I'm disappointed with the butter pecan, but overall would totally come here again to try other things. 4 stars is high and 3 is low, but I'm rounding it up. The newest location of Scoop Deville is small but still lacks a punch. The place is bright and colorful. Warning the menu is extensive and is on a monitor which keeps flipping pages. There are a plethora of options. We went with sundaes. The portions are huge and there are so many combinations. There are a few tables to sit if you desire. They also have delivery options. We enjoyed our ice cream but the portions were huge. The prices are high but with the large portions it is worth it. Things to know: -Large menu which is a little hard to order from since it keeps rotating on computer screens. There is no paper or online menu -All staff is masked -Delivery options available -There are so many options and creative combinations. We loved the warmed cookie dough sundae -some sundaes come with souvenir glasses (I consider this extra waste) - hours are Friday and Saturday :11am-1am Friday, Sunday 12pm-11pm, Monday-Thursday 11am - 11pm We are knocking a star off for the frustrating menu but would definitely go back. read more

Out on south street with my extended family, we wanted ice cream and walked a bit longer to try this place out. Some of us were vegan and some not. Everyone loved their ice cream! It was so delicious! The service was a little complicated and they weren't entirely clear about who had bought what. But they did their best to make everyone happy and to be friendly and courteous. So I don't ding them on that - they had a long line and their items and orders are complicated. I appreciate the response and you definitely gave it the old college try but the overall experience still rated two-stars. The treat was gone in 6 normal-sized bites. There are products that warrant that kind of price, but few. This review was not based on 'in comparison to other places', it was solely on our experience there. Seeing disorganization and chaos (versus fun, enthusiastic energy) speaks volumes about how the backend of a business might be run and it's quite possible that there are ways to streamline to reduce waste and unnecessary costs that cause the end product to be over $1 per bite. I certainly appreciate your effort to bump up the review, and likely my input won't make a bit of difference anyway. There are ways to make the experience far more enjoyable and create more of a sense of satisfaction with your customers, and not just by lowering prices. read more
