Cookies are fine and I like that they have their own ice cream now instead of whatever brand they were carrying before. The staff is just okay. Sometimes I feel like I'm killing their vibe when I walk in because there's not a ton of hustle. These cookies were soft baked, Warm, and melted in your mouth. A great way to end a long day of walking around sightseeing in Philly. The store is extremely tight. Insomnia cookies never disappoints us. The freshness and warmth of the cookie is top notch. My all time fav is Oatmeal and raisin cookie followed by chocolate chip cookie. I love that they have vegan options too that is amazing as some of my frequent visitors only eat vegan and they love the vegan options too with chocolate chunk being the fav. I'm glad Insomnia Cookies finally has vegan offerings. I got two of the flavors: vegan double chocolate chunk ($2) and chocolate chunk ($2). Both were cheap, tasty and had great texture and moisture. They're basically like those Tollhouse cookies you used to get at shopping malls. Expect at least a short line at this particular location, which is tiny. If Insomnia added vegan ice cream options, it would maybe get another star. read more

This is a small store front. Notes of vanilla and chocolate filled the air. I was a babbling babe sitting there helplessly trying Give my order. I ordered chocolate chunk. Double chocolate chunk, oatmeal, sugar cookie etc. They were $2 each. I would have ordered the salted caramel but I was being frugal because it would have been $3.75 for a little cookie. Something about that made me feel like I was being priced gouge. A dozen of cookies was already enough at $21 +tax. Back to my cookie experience. They were warm, soft and tasty. I could have eaten my entire dozen but I decided to place my tummy on time out. These cookies are good. I gave them a 3 star instead of a 4 because they they just didn't taste as fresh and flavorful as I remembered. We use to order several dozens at work for events and I hated but love them to see them. The calories are high if you are trying to manage your weight and waistline. read more

They were out of half the cookies on the menu and had absolutely no milk in the fridge. Not a single bottle. The low stars is mostly for the staff, the cookies were good. I walk in and there's of course 3 employees standing at the register discussing their schedules, as most retail employees do. The peanut butter chip and chocolate chunk cookies were my favorite. Besides cookies, they also have ice cream, cookie'wiches (ice cream between 2 cookies) and brownies. While I want to love it for providing me delicious cookies late at night, it's hard to give it a good review given how mediocre it is (especially compared to other Insomnia locations). This location has always been a little hit-or-miss. It is conveniently located next to tons of bars / eateries, so is a good late-night option post roaming (pre-COVID at least). The service can be quite slow and there is something dingy about it. During COVID, you see long lines out the door, but that is mostly a function of the fact that the space is so small. The real reason that I would never go back is the general disregard for safety that I've seen over my last few visits. Staff aren't wearing masks (or the masks aren't covering their nose) and are also sitting naskless while super close to where the cookies are on display. There are plenty of dessert options in the area. Would recommend skipping this option until they can get it under control. read more

Insomnia is honestly my go-to when I want a sweet treat. This location just happens to be on my walking path to and from work. It is so hard to walk past when you can smell the fresh bakes cookies every day. The shop is very small with only two or three bar height seats, but you'll probably finish your cookies before you think to sit down. The cookies are always warm and soft when you get them. They ice cream is very good too and pairs well with their bakes treats. The only issue I've had with this location is their inability to take cash. On more than one occasion, I've ordered cookies and get out my cash to pay, only to be told they can't take cash at all.
