I've been here on 3 occasions it's either they don't have any cookies, or they're not taking card or you need exact change. and it's been the same dark skinned girl with glasses every time I go in. I love that they have vegan options too that is amazing as some of my frequent visitors only eat vegan and they love the vegan options too with chocolate chunk being the fav. I'm glad Insomnia Cookies finally has vegan offerings. I got two of the flavors: vegan double chocolate chunk ($2) and chocolate chunk ($2). Both were cheap, tasty and had great texture and moisture. They're basically like those Tollhouse cookies you used to get at shopping malls. Expect at least a short line at this particular location, which is tiny. If Insomnia added vegan ice cream options, it would maybe get another star. read more

This is a small store front. Notes of vanilla and chocolate filled the air. I was a babbling babe sitting there helplessly trying Give my order. I ordered chocolate chunk. Double chocolate chunk, oatmeal, sugar cookie etc. They were $2 each. I would have ordered the salted caramel but I was being frugal because it would have been $3.75 for a little cookie. Something about that made me feel like I was being priced gouge. A dozen of cookies was already enough at $21 +tax. Back to my cookie experience. They were warm, soft and tasty. I could have eaten my entire dozen but I decided to place my tummy on time out. These cookies are good. I gave them a 3 star instead of a 4 because they they just didn't taste as fresh and flavorful as I remembered. We use to order several dozens at work for events and I hated but love them to see them. The calories are high if you are trying to manage your weight and waistline. read more

Slightly larger than a hole in the wall...the counter has two stool and room for one more to stand...3 people could be in line while 3 people ate. Was in Philly for a few nights and this place was on the same block as our hotel and made for a perfect late night stop after dinner digested a bit. First night we stopped in was a Sunday. They were out of half the cookies on the menu and had absolutely no milk in the fridge. Not a single bottle. We devoured all the cookies as soon as I got back to my car. They were still warm, delicious and chewy with a slight crispiness at the edge. The peanut butter chip and chocolate chunk cookies were my favorite. Besides cookies, they also have ice cream, cookie'wiches (ice cream between 2 cookies) and brownies. I was super excited to see Insomnia Cookies on my walk from Restaurant Row back to my hotel. I used to love these cookies when I lived in NYC and I'd been missing them since moving to the west coast. Insomnia cookies offers a variety of cookies in the store and they also deliver until the early morning hours, hence the name. I stuck to my usual - double chocolate mint, snickerdoodle, and chcolate chunk, all in separate bags! Taken from the warmer, the cookies ($1.25 each) are indeed warm and gooey so I specifically ask for them to be separated so my snickerdoodle doesn't have chocolate all over it by the time that I eat it. The Philly location's cookies were just as good as I'd remembered. Seeing my enthusiasm for the little bags of deliciousness, my friends asked to taste them and I saw the surprise on their faces when they realized just how good they really are. I wish Insomnia Cookies would expand to the west coast. Until then, they'll just be a sweet treat when I travel back east and they'll evoke great memories of late night cookie runs on the Upper East Side. read more
