Dining area in the market. Real estate is tough; be ready to stand around waiting for people to finish their meals.

HUGE market with food options for everyone! It will be crowded. You will have to hover around the limited tables and be ready to pounce when someone leaves. A kind lady saw me hovering with my kids and beckoned us to sit in the one spare seat at her table and then they finished and left a minute later. Be courteous of your time and try not to sweat it if you can't make it. The bathrooms are in the back corner area. Plenty of toilets, but it's a little scungy with wet floors. At least the one changing table in the men's room seemed clean enough and in working order. Tourists, yes, they have cheesesteaks at a few stalls (even one of the vegan stands has their version). There are several delis and even a few shops to buy knickknacks or candy. Prices will vary from stall to stall, but overall, the prices are pretty reasonable. But plus that these are all independent; no chains allowed! Worth a visit.

Love Reading Market !!! Great place to go where you are sure to find a plethora of different and unique vendors. Love coming here for treats, small gifts, and lunch. Please note while the Market is opened seven days a week many of the Amish owned and operated stalls are closed on Sundays. Market is opened until 6pm and is very crowded during the lunch hour and tables during the lunch hour are a commodity. Love going during off hours for lunch or to do grab and go lunch. Many vendors have special pricing prior to closing as well. You can find everything from soft pretzels, various sandwiches, flowers, baked goods, Amish butter (yum, one of my favorites), candy, produce, ice cream, coffee drinks, tea, and yes some pretty incredible Chinese food. Great place to duck in and wonder /browse for items to bring back. This is one of my favorite places to go when in Philadelphia. Highly Recommend

We love a good market and food hall! Such a cool place and so much neon! Tons of counters and shops in there plus eateries galore.

If you're a foodie this market is a MUST when in Philly! Loaded with different vendors selling all kinds of good eats from grocery staples to ready to eat delectable meals and treats. There is certainly something for everyone here! It was totally popping when in i went in and the nostalgia number calling from the deli felt so homey. After a wander through I landed on a mega chicken cutlet sandwich from Chef Beths which was AWESOME and finished with a PB sundae from bassetts. So many things I didn't get try but can't recommend stopping here enough! If I was local I'd be a regular!

Very cool place to check out! So many food options! From cheese to pastries, meat counters to cheesesteaks, and more! DH Cheesesteaks - right next to another "popular" cheesesteak spot, but didn't have as long of a line so we opted for quick and really glad we did! The cheesesteaks were cheesy, not dry and the bread was really good! would definitely come back! Riehl Deli and Cheese shop - their customer service is top tier! Samples are put out and everything was so good! ended up getting their garlicky dill spread on their wheat thins was 10 out of 10! Prices are excellent as well. Definitely a must stop at when I'm in town. Termini Bros bakery - the almond croissant was so dang good, and all the other pastry and sweets options looked phenomenal! Can't wait to come back and try more!

I saw the crowds from the outside window and did not venture into the Reading Terminal Market. Typically, it is worth a visit to explore and enjoy the food and products here, and a way to support small businesses. The Philly Flower Show crowd made it difficult to maneuver.

Reading Terminal Market is an absolute must visit in Philly and easily one of the best food markets in the country. The energy, variety, and nonstop smells of amazing food hit you the second you walk in. So many incredible options all under one roof, from classic Philly staples to bakeries, sandwiches, and international spots, there's truly something for everyone. Perfect place to walk around, try a little bit of everything, and come back again and again. Busy, loud, and totally worth it. Come hungry and take your time exploring.

This was my very 1st time visiting Philly's Reading Terminal Market and it will definitely not be my last. This place is bustling from wall to wall. We went on Saturday mid morning and each and every aisle was full of people. We walked the entire market to get a full scope of the place before we decided to sit down to grab breakfast before getting lunch and desserts all in the same setting. The pretzel dogs and ham and cheese pretzel wraps were bomb. This market has everything including nice leather travel bags and purses. There are stand up eating tables in the back and tables in the middle of the market however, grab the first one you come across because it is crowded. Definitely a must go to when visiting Philly and we will be back because I am in love with this place.

Second time in Philly and stopping here. It's an extremely busy place so you need to have some patience with being behind people while trying to walk! I went to the Amish market and got a few goodies. Love their popcorn. For this place to be so busy, it is pretty tidy

Yelp Review 2025 #246: I don't go to Philly often but every time I do, I have to go to Reading Terminal Market. I enjoy going to food halls and food markets to see different kinds of food before locking in which stalls/ food I want. Normally, I have a list of vendors I want to check out before coming here. Fortunately, I was staying at a hotel next door so I could come here as often as I want - which I did. Breakfast, lunch, dinner on different days - I went here. I went to long-standing establishments like Dinic's for pork sandwich, Termini for cannoli and Italian pastries. I also got some doughnuts from Beiler's Bakery. Miller's Twist for pretzels. Saami Somi for kachapouri. Vendors change every few years. So, I had to check out what's new. There are seafood vendors, cheese and deli meats vendors, produce, butcher shop. You can get anything from artisan cheeses, doughnuts, cakes, pretzels, pies, ice cream, pasta, cheesesteaks, cookies, Peking Duck, Filipino food, etc. all in one spot. They have plenty of tables - some have seats so you can stay put and enjoy everything you've picked up. Vendors take credit cards (at least the ones I went to) but it's smart to carry cash just in case. I saw ATMs inside the market.

I went on a Saturday and it was PACKED. Checked out quite a few vendors and left with more than I anticipated. it's definitely worth going to.

This place is always an experience. Because I work nearby, I know what times to go to get in and out. I do like to visit on a Saturday with friends who are new to the area because it's nice to feel the atmosphere when it's alive and busy. This place has something for everyone--vegans, gluten-free, baked goods, pizza lovers, fudge enjoyers, breakfast, burgers, pizza, soul food, produce, chocolates, different cuts of meat, different kinds of seafood, Jamaican cuisine, Thai cuisine, Indonesian cuisine, Spanish cuisine--the list goes on! My go-to's are Beiler's donuts, by George (cheesesteaks, pizza, Italian food), Sweet Ninas (banana pudding), Ma Lessie's (soul food), Meullers chocolate, and my breakfast faves: Dutch Eating Place, Down Home Diner, & Molly Malloy's.

Always love going to the reading terminal - just walking around is such fun and the food is amazing!! If it's a steak sandwich you're craving or fried chicken, pecking duck, Indian, Jamaican, American .... You name it they have!

Ask the Community - Reading Terminal Market

Is there seating so like everyone in my group can get food from different stalls and eat together?

Yes but seating is limited and might get packed or you might have to sit in smaller groups based on availability.

    Where do I park?

You may be able to get street parking or there are a few garages right by the market (12th street, arch street, filbert street)

Do they have souvenir shops in this market? Keychains, t-shirts, etc.?

Some but a large mall very close by.

Where is the closest budget friendly parking garage nearby RT? Thank you for your help!

There are two places that advertise cheap (with validation) 2 hour parking. One is at the Hilton Garage at 11th and Arch and they advertise $4.00 for 2 hr., the other one is the Parkway Garage at 12th and Filbert. They advertise $5.00 for 2 Hr. I've… Read more

Best Philly cheesesteak in reading Terminal Market? If there is only one what's the name of it? I'm just trying to go in and out here without getting mesmerized by everything. Thank you!

At RT I would go to Dinics for a roast pork. For a good cheesesteak I would walk over to Steve's Steaks at 16th and Chestnut.
